Description of Work: I had a garbage disposal replaced and also an electrical outlet. The repair person was very responsive and came on time and did a very thorough job.

Description of Work: Provider was courteous and helpful in planning out the home improvement project. However, I resolved the issue quickly by myself and no longer needed the service. In the future, I will use the provider for more complex projects. Thank you.

Emailed JW photo of free-standing bookcases against the wall to be installed and was given an estimate on the phone that exceeded my budget, basically an additional $700. It would have been more helpful if JW indicated what was possible or achievable within the big deal time but the only thing I was told that JW does not cut corners and to do a proper job, it would take 2 men 8 hours to do the work described.

Description of Work: inspect and adjust garage door- replaced rollers Then added bracing for connection of door to garage door opener which turned out to be more involved than he expected but he held to his estimated cost. Also gave advice for how the GDO mounting shoudl be adjusted.

Description of Work: Bought the big deal to get some ceiling fans installed. The description said they can handle electrical work and do light fixture installation - I figured a ceiling fan wouldn't be any different. They never called to set anything up. So I contacted them only to find out, no - they won't do ceiling fan installations. So - at least I should be getting a refund and will find another handy man that knows how to install a ceiling fan.

Description of Work: It didn't go well, the estimator gave a very high estimate and the contractor wanted a very large deposit regardless of the amount of work. When I called to discuss the amount of service, the contractor was not accommodating and didn't want to do the service.

Description of Work: JW home improvement was a pleasure to deal with. The coupon wasn't exactly what I expected and I decided that I can complete the work myself. Work was originally scheduled to be completed 7/30/2013 however I have requested that the appointment be cancelled.

Description of Work: not much happened here. I called three times, and each time received a message all team members were busy and I should call back. I did leave a phone number the third time, but haven't been called. This is a very highly ranked firm on Angie's list, and I imagine that if I could have been more patient, all would have been arranged, and the work done well.

Description of Work: I purchased a big deal Order Number: 670505 Coupon Codes Handymen -670505-1 for $149 for up to Three Hours of Handyman Service from JW Home Improvement. Under their list of services is • Light fixture replacement. Checking their website at jwimprovements.com suggests they do all handy man services. When I contacted them to replace a ceiling fan, I was told they don't provide this service. I purchased this deal specifically to get this handyman service which the don't perform.

Description of Work: I wanted an estimate before they did the work because there are several small projects I need done. The estimate was for 2 men to fix one window and they would work for however long it took (16-20 hours). This was much longer than seamed reasonable considering the original install time. He was certain that this was a large job. I expected about 3-4 hours not 16-20 hours. This window had a 3/4 inch opening at the top letting cold air in the room. My brother visited over the summer and did a quick fix it in 30 minutes. I have no confidence in this vendor and will not be using them.

Description of Work: JW Home Improvement removed a cabinet and repaired some drywall. They repaired and painted a railing. They repaired some paneling in the basement.

Description of Work: Fixed the leg of a wing chair, put casters and legs on leather club chairs, re-screened door panel, installed a remote hose holder with hoses and watered some of my lawn flowers, went to Home Depot for supplies (screen and 2 chair leg braces AND trimmed wisteria on front of house, cleaned up. Ever and Alberto knew instantly what was needed and were very affable all the way.
