Description of Work: He completely serviced my garage door and then came back on an emergency basis to replace a spring. I was impressed by his professionalism and willingness to be of service.

Description of Work: I contacted JW Home Improvement to get an estimate for a project, but no one ever got back to me. I only tried once since I was screening several companies and when I realized I had no answer, I moved on. I might try again for a future job.

Description of Work: Jesse came and went over the work I wanted done in the 3 hour deal I had bought from Angie's List. His workman (whose name I have forgotten) arrived on time and was very polite. He filled a hole in an inaccessible location, put up curtain rods, installed door draft guard and a window lock. The grouting on the bath was faulty and he said to use magnets to close a bathroom cabinet instead of fixing the hinges (a job included on the list). Also, additional grouting was removed, and replaced, when the bath re-grouting was performed; this additional work was not required and, in fact, the worker said that this grouting was in good condition but they always replaced it when doing a bath grouting job. It also decreased the time available for other tasks. Responsiveness rating decreased since the work was done, mainly because Jesse would not include time or cost estimates on the written estimate for new work - providing hourly rates, minimum cost and photos of areas where work is to be done is more like a job description than an estimate.

Description of Work: Contracted for 4 hours of handyman service to cover a number or household issues I couldn't do myself: Replace outdoor security light bulbs that were 30 feet off the ground, replace six garage fluorescent bulbs that were 15 feet off the garage floor, attempt to fix several inside door handles that were loose. I thought that this would take up the entire time but Fernando was so good and so efficient that those tasks were all completed in less than two hours so he tackled two interior cabinet facings that were loose and an interior door that would not close. He fixed all three of those in about another hour and finished up by grinding off a kitchen cabinet pull that was frozen allowing me to replace all our kitchen brass pulls with brushed aluminum. I literally ran out of things for him to fix and we still had about 40 minutes left in the 4 hours. Fernando was amazing, clean and very polite. I highly recommend JW Home Improvement and in particular Fernando.

Description of Work: Replaced garage doorframe that had wood rot, and covered exposed areas of two garage window frames with vinyl covering and also caulked the frames.

Description of Work: Fixed issue with cable hanging on roof (three stories hight) to comply with homeowner association specs. replaced silicon around tub, hanged painting requiring long ladder, estimate on what is required in terms of materials and time to do few bigger jobs.

Description of Work: JW was very responsive. The labor time to repair my problem was much more than the 3 hours i envisioned at the $149 price.

Description of Work: When I contacted the vendor and told him that I wanted him to patch a hole in my family room ceiling and install a chandelier in the dining room, he proceeded to give me a list of items that I was to purchase to complete the tasks. I did not feel that it should be up to me to go to Home Depot to get these things.

Description of Work: They were polite and responsive when they came for the estimate and during follow up telephone conversations. I didn't realize that what I wanted fixed would take only 1 hour. To use up the three hours for the deal I added a storm door installation which proved to take about an extra 3 hours and also included a really expensive disposal fee (which I would need to take advantage of as the old door doesn't fit into my car). It just got too complicated. Thank you.

Description of Work: Installed cabinet. installed awning motor. The men who came chris and jesus were great and worked quickly and cleaned up beautifully. I did not like the estimator who it seemed to me was looking around my house to promote extra work. the original Angie's bargain was $149 for 3 hours. I scheduled two handymen for I hour and half each. Of course it went over. I told the estimator that I had a limit of $300.

Description of Work: I had a garbage disposal replaced and also an electrical outlet. The repair person was very responsive and came on time and did a very thorough job.

Description of Work: Provider was courteous and helpful in planning out the home improvement project. However, I resolved the issue quickly by myself and no longer needed the service. In the future, I will use the provider for more complex projects. Thank you.
