Ok. The techs finished the first projects and were just trying to kill time texting but luckily I was checking in on them every 15 minutes. Sigh.

They were unable to do the work because of structural issues with the house, but still charged for the whole time, which was really frustrating. However, I loved the company and the workers a lot - they were very nice and professional. Just super expensive.

Terrible customer service. Told me it would take 2 guys, 2 days. Day 1 one guy shows up. I call the company and they tell me the other guys isn't coming but the guy I have is as good as 2 guys. So were they going to cheat me with 2 guys or lie to me about the guy they sent? I had put down a deposit for the 2 guys/2 days. It took me 6 weeks to get the money I paid back for the work that the one guy did, when I had paid for two. Guy who came was fine, but at 3 PM tells me he has to leave to pick up his kids at school even though there was more work to do

Well - ceiling still needs painting as part of another job to be scheduled

Their service was really good. They did not charge more than the $149. They were on time, pleasant, easy to work with.

Excellent service on the part of Justin and Francis. They arrived on time, did everything they needed to do in a highly efficient and professional manner.

It went extremely well. He fixed a problem that I had for a long time. He found a cracked valve that had water leaking through my house. I was just so excited that I finally had that done. He found the valve and replaced it. And I didn't have water leaking and didn't need to tear up my ceiling. I thought it was major but it wasn't. It was just that I didn't know.

Perfect. You can not tell it was worked on.

The deck looks like new, safe and solid again! The stairs had rotted and several floor boards and railings were involved. The estimate was very accurate, and the repair work was done to a high standard. The two gentlemen who fixed the deck arrived on time and were personable, professional and skilled. They cleaned up all the debris thoroughly after completing the job. Very happy with our experience

The first day they showed up on time with 1 man. A second was to show up to help. He never made it. The second day the same thing happened and the job of painting was not complete. The third day the second guy showed up but both of them were unable to finish the project. I am paying by the hour mind you. As of this writing the job is still not complete and my bill is approaching 4000.00 to paint two rooms, a hallway, and a bathroom. Hopefully the job will be finished on Saturday as promised. Right. These guys did great at repair work but are ssllllooooowwww when painting. Do not hire to paint! Hire for general contract with. Myself, I won't hire for painting ever again!

Chris Brown showed up right on time and went right to work. He promptly got the supplies needed and did all the work promised within the 3 hrs purchased on Angies List.

Oscar did a superb job. He was skilled, meticulous and thorough. He worked closely with us to ensure our goal was met.

The most awful experience anyone could ever have. Something that would be a simple handyman situation turned into nightmare. I had bought a coupon off Angie's list for 4 hours of Handyman services. I wanted to paint the small bathroom and replace the light fixture. Super easy. The first guy shows up and he starts painting and installed/uninstalled the new light fixture. He said the new light fixture wasn't working so he took it down. I decided to not reinstall the old fixture so I really couldn't see his painting work when he left (no light). I sent the light fixture back only to determine it was working, just not installed correctly. I ordered a new fixture and had to hire another electrician to install it. We're still on the first guy-he got paint all over the ceiling, the trim, etc, no sanding, no taping. Sent photos to the company, they apologized profusely and said they would make it right, sent another guy on another day to fix it. The second guy showed up early with an attitude, didn't know why he was there, I showed him what needed to be done and he started questioning me on why I would let the previous guy leave after doing such a horrible job. I found myself explaining about the lack of light, etc (why am I having to explain to this guy with the attitude?). He was clearly annoyed, said I don't have time for this, I'm never coming back (what does that even mean?), I don't do painting, and left. I was flabbergasted. I called and complained again. Two days invested, nothing accomplished but botched work. They apologized again and scheduled another person to come out. The third guy shows up--I asked him do you understand you're here to paint correct? He said yes. I showed him what needed to be done. He asked where are the paint rollers? He said usually the guys leave rollers behind. Clearly he doesn't understand the guy before him did nothing and had the guy before him done the work, there wouldn't be any rollers! He goes to the store 2 minutes away to buy rollers. He did a little touch up. Again, no sanding, no taping. Then he calls me into the bathroom and says your trim paint looks like it's expired. I said did you stir it? He said yes. I looked down at it and he didn't stir it. He didn't offer to run to the store 2 minutes away if in fact it was old (it wasn't). I pointed out that he didn't sand the walls and he said yeah, that's too far gone, I can't sand that. I said just go, you're done. I'm done.

Oscar, the JW Home Improvement craftsman, was skilled, meticulous and thorough. He worked with us closely to insure our goals were met. Friendly, professional and a pleasure to work with.

Very well. I could not have asked for better quality, responsiveness of the contractor and their knowledge about deck repair. Their work clearly saved me from putting in a new deck.

everything about dealing with them was great and the work done was good. my complaint is with the price. I had a coupon for a certain number of hours and I understood that I would pay hourly for additional time, but over $100/hour for this work seems excessive to me. additionally, while the estimator seemed knowledgeable, he did not do a good job of estimating the time. this would have allowed me to decide if I wanted to proceed with some of the extra work he and I agreed on (beyond what I had originally anticipated)

Very happy with them. They did a good job but they wanted us to buy the supplies, Like the grout for the tile. He did exactly what we asked him to do.

The service went well. However, I found them expensive. The work was good, they did a good job. I might not have taken them on if I would've known how expensive they were going to be. It was so expensive, I only had them do the back deck, they didn't do the front. Based on price alone, I would not use them again. I thought the max for deck refinishing would be $2000.

Excellent job. Cost was more than I expected. Since I had already purchased the deck cleaning thru an Angie's List special, I was locked in with this vendor and had no other estimates. They wanted $2500 to coat the deck after cleaning, which I thought was high. I did it myself.

Things went great. I used the $149 deal (for 3 hours of service). The men arrived and I had all parts painted so all they had to do was get busy and replace everything. They were able to do everything (and even caulk) in the 3 hours. I was very pleased to be able to do all of the preparing work (and have the shoulder/house jack) so they could just jump in on the job without delay. No need to pay contractors to paint.
