Description of Work: I stayed within the 3 hours of the deal purchased and the technician did an excellent job scraping and regrouting the tile and caulking around a bathtub. I purchased the grout in advance to save time.

Description of Work: The main reason I hired JW was that I had ordered custom roller shades from Smith & Noble (I've used S&N before), measuring precisely according to their directions and the shades came with a mounting mechanism that didn't quite fit. Bob, a expert carpenter, tried every possible way to make the shades work -- but it just wasn't possible. He finished the time of the service call by doing some touch up painting. Although I'm disappointed that the custom shades I ordered were a bust it was not at all the fault of the handyman.

Description of Work: Used angie's list coupon for outside winterization package. Secured loose boards onf house siding and tightened door seals. Very responsive and professional.

Description of Work: We've used this company before and had good service. They use a lot of Spanish-speaking workers. It hasn't been a big problem until this work, which required them to read English plans to install a closet system. After 2 days it still wasn't finished, and we ended up needing to hire someone else, who had to undo some of the work. We had some issues with the pricing, and I must commend JW, as they worked with us and we were able to settle the price very amicably.

Description of Work: The JW folks took care of a long list of things to be repaired, including replacement of a bathroom floor (subfloor/tiles) and replacement of large pieces of rotting wood trim around the exterior. The team was very skilled, professional, and pleasant.

Description of Work: Repaired wood. Quality was good--as good as it can be in cold winder months. However it will require some additional work to clean up with wood glue before repainting. Contractor chose not to use wood-simply wood clay which exacerbated the issue with the cold weather. | |Overall, I'd use them again.

Description of Work: Toilet replacement, faucet replacement, fireplace door, and replaced a window crank. It went very well. Jesse was timely and professional and did quality work. I was also very impressed when a supervisor showed up and checked the work. I was impressed by this step. The front office is professional and in sync with their team in the field. Description of Work: The quality of the work was good but it was an hourly rate and it was stretched out over 3 days given the weather. They should have held off rather than charging me so much, basically double the estimate, or made an accommodation given the weather.

Description of Work: They retiled my basement and installed a utility sink. The workman was extremely professional and a hard worker. The tile is a complex pattern and on the newly finished floor you can't tell where the old tile ended and the new tile began. Great job, exceptional service.

Description of Work: crown molding project. They did a great job replicating the molding that was continuing from the foyer. One reason for a B was that in one place the seam where molding joins a different piece is visible. Another is that the price estimator underestimated cost greatly on both labor and materials. |

Description of Work: He arrived early and worked nonstop for 4 hours. He double checked everything on the list and asked me to check each task for quality. I'm very pleased and will use them and recommend them.

Description of Work: Installed a front door bell. Job took 2 hours, which should have been covered by the AL certificate; upon arrival they said it would take 3-4 hours and therefore I had to pay an additional $200, which I did. The "extra" cost was not refunded even though the original certificate covered their time.
