Description of Work: Needed 5 doors shaved at the bottom because we had new carpet installed and the doors were rubbing. Had a light replaced over the back door. Tim was on time, very thorough and attentive to detail. He kept me informed on what he was doing, to be sure it was what I wanted. Very pleased with his work.

Description of Work: The company was great in helping me get some work done before a party (disposal quit working and other things) on short notice. The technician scheduled to come got sick so they had to send someone else out at the last minute. He was good, but not great like the other technicians I have used in the past. I try to ask for Justin.

Description of Work: Excellent. Installed ceiling light fixture in kitchen and replaced leaky facet. Showed up on time. Over all great job.

Description of Work: Considered to install crown molding in the hall bathroom. Paid for an estimate and contracted to have the work done - small job so the cost was considered their "minimum." However, when my master card bill arrived discovered they had charged the entire cost of the job BEFORE the work was begun. Believe this violated HMIC which allows for collection of 1/3 before the job starts. Called to complain and they did rapidly refund the amount charged. Subsequently had the job done by another Angie's List contractor for $150 less.

Description of Work: I used an Angie's List Big Deal to get a discount on 5 hours of labor. The service provider, Chris, did an excellent job with four separate "repairs". He repaired/replaced the grout and replaced the calk in our master shower. He replaced the tub spout and calk in the guest bathroom. He installed two vents in the furnance room. Chris arrived on time, was very polite and professional and his work was top notch. The entire experience from Jesse's estimate to Chris' completed work was a positive experience. We will use JW Home Improvement again for future repairs/improvement projects.

Description of Work: remove, repair, and rehang kitchen cabinets. |thought outside the box in order to repair one of the cabinets. |very professional, punctual, creative. |will definitely use again for home repair, remodeling, etc.

Description of Work: Service provider cleaned gutter and downspouts. The service provider was friendly and polite. The cleaning was performed for the most part great. They crew did miss taking out the downspout drain covers for the downspouts that ran under the patio and exited at the end of the patio. I guess because these drain covers were not obvious they missed removing them to clean the debris that came down from the downspout. I did clean those myself, but this minor miss would not prevent me from using this quality service provider again.

Description of Work: I've used JW Home Improvement on several occasions. They have always been punctual, professional and polite. They've performed primarily handyman type jobs for me, but at a very high, professional standard, which I appreciate and am willing to pay a premium for. I gave them a C for price, not because I think that their hourly rate is too high, but because they require a 3-hour premium. That forces me to wait until I have enough tasks for them to complete before I can get anything addressed. I'll definitely continue to use them though.

Description of Work: Felipe performed several small projects around my house and I was incredibly pleased with the service. He even gave me some tips on a few things that I didn't previously notice without being pushy about it. Simply suggestions since he has an eye for it. He even allowed me to look on while he was performing the work and I learned a lot from him. After all is said and done, I've gone from having several minor annoyances around the house to none! A job well done and very much appreciated!

Description of Work: Used handyman. Service and attention to tasks was incredible. I had some electrical issues with outdoor lights and fan as well as an indoor pendant lamp which were all addressed and corrected.
