Description of Work: The workers were very professional and very punctual. They repaired a 2x3 hole in the basemen ceiling, removed and installed 3 new vanity mirrors, replaced 5 bathroom faucets, change 3 toilet paper holders and 2 towel racks. Did a very good job, price seems a little high, but this is Northern Virginia.

Description of Work: This was an Angie Deal. I needed handyman-type help to replace a kitchen-exhaust fan in the wall above the stove. They did a great job.

Description of Work: Caulk around front-door/- tech was supposed to assemble and hang shelving in my garage. Tech-- wasted a lot of time with the shelving... seems like he was dragging it out in order to bill more hours. Tech was not efficient

Description of Work: Just fixed a few things around the house. But the guy was going to get some fixture right at quitting time at Home Depot and because there was such a line there, he said he'd pick it up later. He forgot. I called back, and they sent someone out with the fixture. He charged me another 120 dollars or so. I was too guilty or something, to complain then. And I probably shouldn't now.

Description of Work: After receiving the estimate, plans were made to have the services completed the next week. We're preparing our house for the market, so we needed a few small jobs completed. Cesar and George arrived promptly, and they worked the full day. They fixed a vent fan, a shower faucet, and a toilet in the master bath. They also repaired some sliding closet doors that had fallen off the runner. They caulked small cracks between the crown moulding and the drywall, and they repainted the ceiling in several places. On the outside of the house, they replaced some vinyl siding that was damaged in one of the windstorms from this past winter. They also repaired some rotten wood around an outside door, and they repainted the door. Finally, they cleared the roof of branches and debris, as well as the gutters. | |I was really impressed with their professionalism. Before they made a repair, they explained the plan before beginning. I was also happy that they were able to repair my current vent fan and faucet knob, saving me the cost of new ones.

Description of Work: This is the second time I have used JW Home Improvement, and both times I was lucky enough to have Bob Brown perform the handyman services. Bob is a jack of all trades. He does great electrical work, mounting tvs on the wall, and any thing that needs fixing he can take care of. He's a smart, professional, down to earth guy. It doesn't hurt that he's a handsome guy either... Highly recommended.

Description of Work: Project was done in time estimated and within estimated budget. The project included replacing frame around dormers on the 4th level, painting to match paint on trim, repair ceiling damage in bedroom and paint ceiling. Purchased and provided all materials needed for project.

Description of Work: I bought an Angies List voucher for four hours of handyman service from JW Home Improvements. I've hired them before and was very pleased with their work, so I had no qualms about having them back. The head of the company came out for the initial assessment to see what I wanted done, which was a series of minor projects: hang a chandelier I'd bought in Italy, install some racks and shelves, and shift a heavy inlaid desk to another floor. He took photos of what needed to be done and where, and sent them to me and to his staff. He also advised what kind of hardware I needed to buy to adapt the Italian chandelier for this country. |On the day we'd booked, two handymen came out, Freddie and Felipe. They worked quickly and efficiently. They started with the chandelier, which turned out to be difficult and fiddly to hang, but they persevered and got it properly installed, tested it, adjusted the height, and cleaned up all the wire scraps. They then tackled the shelving and racks and desk-moving, and got all my projects squared away within the time we'd allotted. Their work was smooth and professional and looks great! I would definitely hire JW Home Improvements again.

Description of Work: They sent a handyman who went over the jobs and didn't seem to have any idea about how to fix anything. They charged for coming over to provide an estimate and never sent the estimate. Extremely disappointing experience.
