Description of Work: We had several small tasks that involved removing old alarm equipment and patching and painting over wall damage.

Description of Work: The crew of two replaced two bathroom vanities, replaced a light fixture, moved the electrical outlet for the dryer, installed some crown molding and did several drywall repairs. All work was done within the estimated timeframe and was done well. Everything was cleaned up at the end of the job. Cesar worked especially hard and was very eager to make sure I was satisfied with the work. I am sure I will use this company again and I plan to ask for Cesar.

Description of Work: The senior management of the company had to intervene to get work completed after workers were unable to deliver on time as promised. Basic problem came from grossly underestimated cost and schedule for requested work. In the end we paid almost twice estimate - final bill was $38,000 against an estimate of $11,000 - but we work a compromise and final payment made was $21,000. Originally estimated to take 6-11 days, work took about 6 weeks to complete.

Description of Work: They repaired holes in two walls and painted the walls. They also repaired a whole in the concrete floor under the dishwasher. Chris was efficient and quick. I have recommended them to a colleague looking for a painter.

Description of Work: List of items. Fixed shingles, replaced screen door, replaced motion detector light bulbs, put together raised garden bed, fixed leak in bathroom faucet. Alberto was on time, professional and independent. I was very pleased with the results.

Description of Work: Walter from JW power washed the house and sanded and painted the trim on the front of the house. Walter did very high quality work. The trim on the house was in terrible shape and when he was finished, it looked brand new. In addition, he went out of his way to be helpful and fixed several other related things like loose gutters, etc. We were amazed at how good the house looked when he was finished. We greatly appreciated his thoroughness and hard work.

Description of Work: I paid for the wood rot repair that was listed less than $ 200 on Angie's list. Project Manger/Sales Manager came out to look at porch where rot was present; acted as if he was unaware of his company's rot repair offer. In the end I spent over $ 1000.00. I thought the work was overpriced and the technician took an extraordinary amount of time to complete work. (Note - work was on an hourly basis0

Description of Work: Justin was great. He did the work I originally planned, then stayed on to help me with another one at a reasonable price. Company was easy to work with, invoice paid online, overall excellent experience. I will be contacting them again in the future.

Description of Work: They performed the service I purchased in the deal and replaced the sensors I needed. Garage door works great now.

Description of Work: I purchased "Handyman Service" from Angie's List, then called JW Home Improvements to schedule the service. I was told that I first had to schedule a visit for an "appraisal" then the work would be scheduled. I was told the first available appointment for the appraisal would be 30 days (1 month) from the day that I called. I was then told that the work - depending on it's extent - would take another 3 weeks to schedule after that. All this meant that it would take almost 2 months for me to have some very simple "handyman" services performed. There's no way on earth this could be described as "handy" in any way, shape or form...!!!

Description of Work: Rehung closet organizers that had pulled out of the wall in 2 closets. | |An estimator came & assessed, the work we needed done,how much time it would take & made suggestions on what supplys we should purchase prior to the service being rendered. We later called the office to schedule the work. | |The technician arrived on time, but had to go & purchase brackets in order to complete the job (we had only purchased drywall screws & should have purchased brackets in addition). After completing the closets, we had him put together a standing jewelry organizer. Everything was done thoroughly and efficiently. Technician ended up staying 1/2 hr over the 3 hours of the original deal. Therefore, JW Home Improvement sent us an invoice for the additional cost ($109-included cost for brackets & additional man hours), which we conveniently paid on line. | | |

Description of Work: I called them today to try and get an estimate but said it would cost $50 to get the estimate. First, I think estimates should be free. Anyway, I was willing to pay the money but unfortunately the person couldn't come out to give estimate for another week. I was fine with that but then asked how long after the estimate before they could start working on it assuming it's a 6 hour job. The lady would not give me an answer. I asked a month or two and couldn't tell me. So I'm supposed to let water leak into my house while I'm waiting. And I'm supposed to pay money to someone that couldn't even tell me when they could possibly start. No thanks.

Description of Work: I had a water pipe break in my garage that caused a massive amount of water damage to the garage walls and ceiling. JW Improvement provided an estimate to bring the garage back to its original state. I also asked for additional work to be done (adding electrical outlets, installing recessed lights in the ceiling, painting, and adding an acrylic flooring). My insurance company reimbursed me for the initial portion of the cost and I would bear the cost of the additional work. I paid what was thought to be half of the work. However, when all the work was finished, that initial payment turned out to be only a third of the total cost. This was due to the fact that it took the workers two additional days to complete the tasks. While disappointing on that end. The workmanship was outstanding. The two workers were the same the entire time. They knew the work that had to be done and did not need to be informed each day. They arrived promptly every day, worked constantly and were professional and courteous. They ripped out all the damaged drywall and insulation, sprayed antibacterial on the new insulation and replaced the drywall. They wired the garage for several outlets and lighting and connected it to the circuit breaker. They primed the walls for painting and then laid acrylic tiles for the floor. When it was all finished, I was very pleased with the result.
