Description of Work: Their estimator Luis showed up on time as promised. He was very professional and explained what work needed to be done. He also explained what I did not need and saved me some money in the process. They removed & rebuilt approximately 25 courses of a brick chimney and then sprayed with waterproofing. The 3 man crew was professional & polite as well as very hard working. They completed the job in two days and cleaned up neatly after themselves. I am very pleased so far.

Description of Work: They came to do a inspection and clean service. The home was built in 1981 and is out of code now, so we had it updated to today's code, because we still use our fireplace yearly. They removed the old flue liner and terra cotta, and the first 10 rows of brick that were all found loose at inspection. They relined the fireplace with a one piece Stainless Steel liner pipe, insulated with new masonary thermix, sprayed the smoke chamber with Smoketite, rebuilt the 10 rows of bricks to original design and installed a new 3 x 13 stainless steel rain and animal guard. All of the old chimney debris was hauled away when finished. | |High's showed up on time and had the scaffolding set up and ready to work within two hours. It was a little loud in the house while they were removing the terra cotta liner. They placed a piece of cardboard over the front of the fireplace opening and attached a shop vacuum hose to it. This was to remove the dust being created from the removal of the terra cotta liner, which then the material itself was removed from the fireplace afterwards. | |I was very pleased with the explanation and information given by Richard at the time of the inspection. The work was scheduled and completed on time and would High's-ly recommend them and have to friends and family.

EFFICIENT, FAST BUT THOROUGH. VERY CONSIDERATE ABOUT NOT GETTING SOOT ON CARPETS. RECOMMENDED A CAST IRON FIREBACK FOR $325.00--ALMOST DOUBLE WHAT STORES ARE SELLING THEM FOR (SAME SIZE). DID NOT PURCHASE ONE THROUGH HIGH'S BECAUSE OF HIGH PRICE.

THE TWO MEN THAT CAME WERE VERY NICE. HOWEVER, I BELIEVE THAT THEY DID NOT HAVE A LOT OF EXPERIENCE WITH REMOVING RACCOONS FROM CHIMNEYS. THE RACCOONS GOT LOOSE IN MY HOUSE AND WERE RUNNING AROUND THE LIVING ROOM. THE GENTLEMEN TRIED TO CLEAN UP, BUT THERE WERE STILL MARKS ON MY WALLS AFTER THEY LEFT. AFTER THEY LEFT, THERE WAS SOOT ON THE FLOOR AND THE WALLS.
