They did a great job. Only complaint was a delay in service between the start and completion of the job. No one called to say they weren't coming back the next day. The weather was fine, but they did not show. They came back the following week to finish the job.

High's was quick to assess the firebox and recommend two possible courses of action. They explained clearly the reasoning for their assessment and recommendations. They were available to complete the work next day and offered a discount if we were able to accommodate, which we were. The work was done professionally - it is of high quality, and they were very neat / clean.

The chimney was inspected and repaired with a new stainless steel liner. The cracked terra cotta tiles were supposed to be removed as a part of the contract. They were not. I called to see why not and to receive a credit for this portion of the contract. My call was never returned. I hired a second more reputable company to review the work and to replace my gas logs. They told me there was no reason that the terra cotta could not have been removed.

They came out the day after I called, even during their busy season. They removed the bottom of the furnace and cleaned the entire flue going all the way up to the roof. They vacuumed and cleaned out some dead wasp remnants and assisted in unclogging my furnace. They replaced my furnace cap with a more durable, stainless steel cap, also. They went above and beyond for us and we were very appreciative.

Requested an estimate. Someone came, inspected chimney and gave me a verbal estimate only. He said he would email me a written estimate via email but one was never received.

Work went well and on schedule, and the rebuilt chimney looks great. They had to return to correct cracks that appeared in the crown after the cement had fully dried.

We have a wood stove that we use and they come once a year. We've been happy with them. They installed the wood stove and service it once a year.

They never showed up. I called them and they acted like I never had an appointment. Rather than an apology, they were rude and acted like it was my fault. Typical customer is always wrong mentality.

High's did an outstanding job of replacing the chimney from the roof up. The chimney was 38 years old and just wore out. Professionalism was from the jump, the moment Gene pulled into the driveway. I would not hesitate to recommend Gene and group to anyone who is looking to have work done. High's also reset some loose tiles on my indoor wood stove and re-secured the flu. THANX Gene for a job well done.............

Four years ago, we had High's re-do our chimney from the roof up and intall a new liner. About 2 months ago, High's calls out of the blue to offer their chimney cleaning service. So I mentioned there was white stuff on the brick and the caller instead sets up an appointment for an inspection. Luiz, the manager for High's came out, got on the roof and found cracks in the mortar on top. Luiz reminded me that it was all covered under their warranty. Two days later, he sent a team who scraped off the efforescence, fixed the cracks, and then sprayed waterproofing material on the whole chimney. All of this didn't cost us a cent, and I remember their original work was reasonably priced. I guess the take-away message is that I think High's Chimney Service really knows how to take care of their customers, even years down the road.

It went well. High's relined my chimney with a stainless steal liner. Cost was $1400. Job was completed in 6 hours.

Came out one day to inspect and see what needed to be done - a lot!! My fireplaces hadn't had work on them in a long time and they were built in 1962. Came back on agreed day and did the work. When they left all was cleaned up and fireplace free of soot and ashes. Since they replaced the back wall in the living room fireplace it really looks great. For all the work they did I thought the price was quite good. At all times they were polite and explained everything they were going to do and why and answered all our questions to our satisfaction.

I must have liked their price. I think they were responsive, punctual and professional.

It went very well!!! They arrived in the time slot we booked. They were fast and efficient. They were very informative on what they did and what fireplace upkeep we need to do. Will definitely use them again!!

The job was bid out and after 6 bids I chose High's because of the reputation and the representative (Mark,who gave the bid). This was the highest bid of the cluster but I figured the quality and assurance of longevity of the business were both worth the extra cost. He was one of four that recommended a rebuild as sealing the chimney with this type of leak was "ineffective." The crew arrived 4 Feb to demolish the existing chimney. We had several miscommunications and I was connected with MIke. Mike has been with High's for many years now and assured me we would resolve the problem. I am delighted to say, Mike and his crew stuck to it. Although we had weather and other obstacles the final resolution was a beautiful chimney with no evidence of leaking provided by a professional crew. Mark, Steve, Doug and Mike, thank you - great job! The ratings for this job appear misleading, I have averaged all events and communication errors (apparently there was a website failure during this time) and the result is the above rating, illustrating worst case scenario. The true measure of a professional organization is their ability to handle adverse events. These guys managed the complications with aplomb. If you have a potentially complicated chimney/firebox situation, call High's! Anything older than 50 years and I would not trust it to anyone else.

Great. Work was done quickly and looks great. The new bricks aren't a perfect match to the original crumbling "old brick", but they look close enough. The new bricks should last much longer than the originals. High's Chimney also came back (at no additional cost) and patched lower bricks that were hidden by flashing until exposed during a roofing job. The chimney was also cleaned at no expense.

Great! They did everything they promised in a timely fashion, the guys were all nice and polite, and they did a good job cleaning up afterwards. We chose High's because they spent time with us during the inspection and used a camera scope to show us why the work needed to be done. Other companies we got quotes from did not take the time to scope or explain the problem.

They were able to do the work on short notice, didn't leave a mess, and actually may have saved my house! I'd had a new furnace installed the day before High's was out, and they alerted my son to the smell of gas. Sure enough, the furnace company missed a small gas leak in the lines. I was on travel, so I was very grateful that they brought the smell to my son's attention and we were able to get it fixed. Price-wise, they beat another quote by $500.

Workmen arrived right on time and were courteous and made sure we were satisfied with the job. Mr. Aguilar came later in the day to inspect the finished job and started a fire to be sure everything was working properly. The entire team was a pleasure to do business with.

Despite a promise for help in replacing my gas fireplace (when they diagnosed that my current system was dead), the follow-up was terrible. When I took the initiative to visit the "showroom" as advertised on their website. That's quite an overstatement. The showroom amounted to a trailer-like space with one or two fireplaces, amidst what was clearly more like the staff's home-base. No one offered to help when I arrived, and they were not welcoming at all when I tried to ask a couple of questions. After driving more than an hour to get there, I left with minutes, highly disappointed.

Wrong bricks initially provided and when finally completed the clean out and vent grates in fireplace no longer fit correctly. The response was "OH Well" The closable chimney cap provided failed within a few yrs. Also upon further research I discovered I was charged almost twice the going rate for the cap assembly. When it was recently replaced by a top rated Angie's list contractor I wasprovided with a much better unit for half the price.

They were prompt, efficient and worked cleanly - no mess in the house. Had them out for an inspection several months ago and they gave us a discount based on paying the inspection fee. Slight misunderstanding with the paperwork leading to the damper not being installed on the first visit but that was cleared up promptly and the damper was installed with no problems.

High's showed up on time as scheduled and proceeded to explain the work that was to be done before fully protecting the carpets and getting started. The chimney was cleaned and fully inspected. All details of the inspection were explained and I was given the opportunity to see the entire process.
