They take care of us twice a year. They have always had good people come in and keep the furnace in good shape. They cover their shoes so they don't get anything on our floors. If they find that we do need something, they usually have it in their truck and can get it fixed. They all seem to be well qualified and know the furnace. They are very good.

Our experiences have always been very good. It was a holiday so he was unable to provide service during normal hours. He suggested that the after-hours charge would be higher and may want to try another option. We did end up going with Dwyer Plumbing for the problem in our main line. They were very honest with us. They were willing to come, but it would be later in the day and outside normal hours. We have never had any problems and are pleased with them.

The work was just fine. I have a service contract with them. They have always done a very good job. This past time the guy was extremely informative and helpful.

I recommend him to other members of my family. They are very prompt. Whenever the maintenance visit is scheduled, they give you a reasonable window. They are within an hour or two. If they are unable to come in that time frame they will contact you to let you know when they can come. They are 95% of the time on time. Their rates are very reasonable. Their service is superior to what I have experienced with other companies.

Not everything went smoothly, but I'm pretty happy with it. It took a good part of the summer. Harvey Hottel set me up with a well driller so that was $10,000 of the total. After two and a half years, I think it is great and it has cut my electric bill by a third. The heat is responsive, it is well conditioned, it is tempered and humidified nicely, and it is working nicely. One of the things that they had to do was modify the duct work in my house. As far as I could tell, the leader of that crew couldn't even read a blue print. The company had to send out a different crew to fix this guy's mistakes. After it was installed, I had them out four or five times to fix things that were wrong. Finally, a master technician came out and fixed everything. He gave me his card so I called him directly when I had problems after that. It feels like they have two tiers of service providers and they send the second tier first but they'll send the first team if you complain enough. I am really happy with the system now and I understand that it was a big system to install, but I just dealt with too many incompetent service providers before we got everything working. They always showed up when they said they would and they were always responsive. I got a 30% tax credit and a refund from the state, so the price was fine for me.

The service tech said my system was fried and that I would need to replace blower and control board leading to expensive repairs. Afterwards the tech tried to sell me a service plan.In the process of shopping around for a new air conditioner unit, because I was getting estimates over $1000 to fix my existing system, one tech tested out my air conditioner unit and replaced the capacitator and my air conditioner worked.I talked to a manager a Harvey Hottel and said I wanted my money back. However, the manager was unmoved regarding the fee I paid for no service and having to have no air conditioning in the house for several more days. No refund or compensation was provided.

Hottel sent a subsidiary, called American Metalfab, to do the work. It was all completed within one day, as promised. The work appears to be very good quality. Since autumn has arrived, we aren't really in a position to fully test the rehabbed system. I suppose that will have to wait for next spring.

Due to the outrageous charge for just an estimate I did not use this vendor.

Warren is exceptional. He responds quickly. He provides detailed answer to any and all questions. Of the seven companies I met with to discuss my needs (three traditional and two geothermal) Warren was miles ahead of everyone else. We are signing a contract with Harvey Hottel to do all the work

Pros: The tech (Josh) was excellent. Very knowledgeable, prompt, personable... very nice. Cons: The price was a and quot;flat feeand quot; at $585 from the and quot;bookand quot;. When I argued the time (quoted at $95 per hour) and materials the tech called his boss and the price came down to $410. I was told that the job would take 3 plus hrs. The tech had me sign a work order in advance for $410 and then it took less than 2 hrs to complete the work. That's over $200 per hour for basic plumbing work! Rip off!

Overall, the work that they did was fine. They have been doing my air conditioning for several years and I realized that they were also plumbers; so I decided to try them. They were probably reasonable and prompt. They had to go get the part and things like that. I would use them again in the future.

The exterior portion of the job (which was sizable) seemed to take a long time, but I don't have enough experience to judge. The problem was they did an inadequate job of refitting the pipes in the basement (which is partially finished). We didn't have a leak in the basement when they started but we certainly did when they were done. The new pipe had been connected to the existing pipes crookedly...as one of the plumbers saud when he came out for the emergency call, they had been in a hurry to finish because it was Friday. After a lot of clean-up on our part (and another $400), the problem appears to be fixed. But, I wouldn't use them again. The overall cost of the job exceeded the estimate by about 20%.

We just moved into a new house and knew from the inspection that we needed to replace the sump pump, which had not been operational for quite some time. Tech (Mike) was extremely professional and replaced the old pump (which looked maybe 20 years old, with sludge in the pit to match) with a new cast iron sump pump and backup battery. Also cleaned out the pit, which was pretty gross. Then we moved into the house, and on our second day, our main level toilet flooded into the basement bathroom (the water was coming through the vent in the ceiling). So we called again -- this time with a bit of an emergency -- and found out that the previous owners had not installed a flange (I think I have that part name right) when they re-tiled the bathroom floors, so the toilets were basically sitting on holes and it was really gross. The toilet had been leaking for a long time but we didn't catch it in the inspection because it was leaking into the basement (which is where the inspection started). Anyway, the toilets were extremely old; we replaced them both. I know nothing about plumbing, but the difference between the holes in the floor without this part and then seeing what it was supposed to look like was pretty amazing. As an aside, during the installation, the two techs started arguing in Spanish. My brother, who knows a bit of Spanish due to his job in the automotive industry, said they were arguing because one of the toilets had a defective part and one of the techs wanted to just install it and leave. The lead tech refused and told the other guy to go back to the store and get it right. In both cases, Hottel was super-fast, responsive, and professional.

Work went well. I contacted three companies for estimates. All three had similar prices; all three recommended the same equipment. I chose Harvey Hottel based on their experience and gut feeling talking with them. Once we paid the deposit, most things went smoothly. The well subcontractor did not finish insulating pipes in the basement, but I called Harvey Hottel, and it was taken care of quickly. One minor problem is that Harvey Hottel did not inform me that I needed to contact the county to arrange for a final inspection. I learned about that later, as I completed paperwork for a tax rebate.

Everything went very well. I have used them several times over the past 10 years. They are very honest, knowledgeable, and prompt. They replaced my furnace a year and a half ago. They did a very good job and I am very satisfied and happy with them.
