Description of Work: My restaurant , California Tortilla, had plumbing problems on a Fri. Cross county plumbing came out on that Friday and unclogged the drain. The drain got stopped up again 2 days later, on Sunday. I called Cross County again since they did the work 2 days earlier and I had the same problem. They did not pick up the phone so I left a detailed VM with Cross County. I was going to have to close the restaurant if I did not get the problem solved so I then called Harvey Hottel. They picked up and said they would dispatch it out to somebody and give me a call back with an ETA. Someone from HH called back shortly after that and said that they were on their way. I said "Great-see you soon". TEN minutes after that, Cross County plumbing called and said ,"we are on the way and it will be covered under warranty". I got off the phone and IMMEDIETELY called the HH tech back to not come out (in all fairness, I called the tech, not the main office- but it still should suffice) He was still 20 minutes away from my restaurant. HH then sends me a bill for $802!! 2.75 hours and 3.25 hours for 2 guys!!! They never evn arrived at my place! They are crooks. Please call Cross county plumbing if you want a fair, honest plumber.

 + -1 moreService tech, John, was extremely polite, pleasant, thorough and knowledgeable. He cleaned up after himself. Checked boiler system and spent quite a while making sure system heated appropriately,changed filters,checked temperatures of all units and bled radiators. Scheduling is within a four hour window on appointed day. We have used this company for many years.
Description of Work: General service of hotwater boiler and radiator system and heat pump.

 + -1 moreThe worker was on time, courteous and thoroughly explained the problem with our broken AC. He helped us figure out whether replacement parts or an entirely new AC would be more cost-efficient and did not try to sway us to buy the new unit. The replacement AC could not be installed for a few days, so they lent us some replacement parts (at no charge),so we could stay cool until they could install the new unit. They also had several payment plans that allowed us to stretch out our payments for the new unit.
Description of Work: Our broken 18 year old AC was diagnosed and replacement parts were temporarily connected, until they could replace the entire unit. They did not charge us for the diagnostics or for the temporary parts (work was done at the end of July), because we bought the replacement AC from them.

 + -1 moreThe technician was pleasant and professional. As it was not obvious what had caused the clog in the first place, he gave us his cell phone number in case the problem resurfaced.
Description of Work: The kitchen sink drain was clogged. The technician arrived timely and sucessfully cleared the drain within 30 minutes.

 + -1 moreThey did come right away and they gave me an estimate over the phone. I gave them my credit card and I was double billed. I was refunded the money, however they have not notified me of it and I have yet to receive an invoice from them. This is over $400. I was disappointed in this company. As far as price goes I cannot really comment. I would just say their customer service was lacking. I received an incomplete invoice from this company. I have now made 6 phone calls and talked to Barbara and Christine in their residential sales department. I have talked to their accountant Kevin three times. I still do not have this matter resolved. I will never use this company again.

 + -1 moreClyde Poff was right on time at the beginning of the four hour time window we'd been given. He worked quickly and effectively, explaining what was wrong and what was needed as he went along. Very friendly and respectful as well as amazing me with his ability to go back and forth between the back yard and the attic on an extremely hot day. I especially appreciated the way he gave me tips on small maintenance fixes that he could have very well done himself at a cost. We will absolutely return to this company for service.
Description of Work: Central A/C was not putting out cold air so they came out and checked the entire system, cleaning outside unit and repositioning a fallen coil in the attic unit.

 + -1 moreThey have outstanding service. My experience with Hottel was excellent. The Hottel HVAC techs were on time, professional, and polite. Hottel pointed out to me that my Trane air handler was still under a 5-year parts warranty so the total repair was for labor and 1 yr maintenance plan only. Trane/Hottel replaced the part without a charge.
Description of Work: Hottel replaced a blower wheel in my Trane air handler/heat pump.

I HAVE USED THIS COMPANY FOR ALL OF MY PLUMBING, HEATING AND AC MAINTENANCE FOR YEARS. ALTHOUGH THEY MAY NOT BE THE LEAST EXPENSIVE, I CONTINUE TO USE THEM BECAUSE THEY ARE PROFESSIONAL AND RELIABLE. I HAD ONE BAD EXPERIENCE WHEN THE OFFICE DID NOT GET THE PROPER PARTS THE TECHNICIAN NEEDED AND I DID NOT HAVE HEAT IN ONE PORTION OF MY HOME. THE TECHNICIAN WAS EXCELLENT BUT THIS WAS AN ADMINISTRATIVE PROBLEM BACK AT THE OFFICE. WHEN I FINALLY CALLED THE SUPERVISOR, HE WAS AS OUTRAGED AS I WAS AT THE SERVICE, OR LACK THEREOF, WE HAD RECEIVED. HE IMMEDIATELY SENT HIS TOP TEAM OF TECHNICIANS TO MY HOME AND THEY ENDED UP REPLACING MY ENTIRE FURNACE- IT WAS A FIVE HOUR JOB- AND THEY NEVER CHARGED ME A DIME. ALTHOUGH WE HAD BEEN VERY INCONVENIENCED, WE FULLY APPRECIATED THE MANNER IN WHICH THE SITUATION WAS RECTIFIED AND WE RENEWED OUR SERVICE CONTRACT WITH THEM.
Description of Work: REBUILT TOILET, ADDITIONAL WORK ON ANOTHER TOILET, REPLACED FAUCET, HARDWARE ON KITCHEN SINK AND MOVED HOSE BIB ON OUTSIDE OF HOUSE INCLUDING INDOOR PIPES.
