Charles got in touch with me promptly and answered all of my questions about using his service. He couldn't have been nicer or easier to work with. I recommend Donation Nation very highly.

It went extremely well. They removed a full truckload of stuff, and gave me an itemized list for my taxes. Very Very professional and good at what they do. Would hire them for sure again.

Picked up an older side by side refrigerator in working condition. I purchased the coupon on Angie's List, scheduled the appointment online and they were here on my requested date. Justin and Flavio were very courteous and professional. I received an email with the donation statement for tax purposes the same day. We were impressed with their service and will use them again.

The 2 men from Donation Nation arrived early and we're very professional, neat, and took care not to damage any walls while moving the materials. It was a very hot day yet they moved quickly and had a very positive attitude. All materials were removed and loaded in their truck within a half hour despite a long walk between the basement and truck. I would not hesitate to use them again.

On Saturday, June 21, 2014, I called and talked to Charles from Donation Nation (Angie's List Recommendation). I asked if they could haul a heavy sofa bed and living room chair away. Charles explained that they charged me for 1/4 of the truck which was $122.25 and I told him that I had a $25.00 Angie's List Coupon which he deducted for a total charge of $97.25. In addition, Charles explained that they try to donate or sell the items rather than put them in a land fill. I liked that idea. He gave me a Sunday, June 22, 2014 appointment and told me that they would be here at 10:00am sharp. Sunday, June 22, 2014 Charles called me about 9:35am to say that he and Justin were on the way and they arrived at 10:00am sharp. They secured the sofa bed and hauled it and the living room chair to the truck. I gave Charles the check and coupon and Justin sent a donation receipt to my email for the fair market value of the sofa bed and chair. Charles and Justin were on time, friendly, courteous, professional and they hauled this very awkward furniture without any damage to my property. They were done and gone by 10:15am. This was a very pleasant experience and I will definitely hire them again. I highly recommend them.

Bought a deal on Angie's list for 1/2 a truck of junk removal. From start to finish, they were responsive, polite, and quick. They took two old sofas, a disassembled running machine, boxes of misc junk, coffee tables, and side tables, an old crib, and other items. Scheduling was a breeze, they followed up when they said they would. Called and asked if they could show up early, then called again to say they were ten minutes away. When the crew arrived, they surveyed what I had, rearranged the truck, and loaded everything in a very short amount of time. Overall, a perfect experience. Very impressed, and should I need their services again, I will definitely use them.

They were fantastic. This is now my favorite company. They came on time, were friendly, professional and very, very careful about moving things out of the house and onto the truck. No dinged walls, and no trampled plants. They were careful to ask me to confirm things if I was vague about directions. (I said, "take that bed please, to include the mattress, box spring, and bed frame", and they came back to ask if I wanted them to take or leave the little 4 inch blocks that boosted the height of the bed.) They were a pleasure to work with on this effort.

This was an Angie's List Deal. $80 for a half truck load of junk to be picked up. It also included household items, numerous books, VCR, useless exercise equipment, small appliances, TVs, etc. I had a lot of stuff that I needed to get rid of, especially the two old giant tube TVs,. Although there are charity organizations that will pick up for free they dont take old TVs and other junk. Donation Nation has helped me to free up much needed space. The pick up was easy to schedule on line. I did'nt get the time I wanted but it was only two hours earlier. There was a two man pick up team who were prompt and very thoughtful , making sure they only took what I wanted them to. Once everything was on the truck they printed out a receipt that could be used at tax time next year. Excellent service. I highly recommend them for any and all of your removal and redistribution needs. I'm a happy camper!

It went really well. They explained to me that the price I paid online was for picking up outside but the stuff was inside so I just paid them the difference. I liked them. I just hope that all my donations went somewhere good. It satisfied what I needed to be taken care of. They were there on time and they were professional.

I liked them and they were great. They came on time. I had to reschedule and it was my fault. They were willing to work with me on that. They were very organized. They did the things in a systematic way. They came out shortly after I asked them to. I liked the systematic way, they did the things. There were two gentlemen who worked here. One worked with me and another one was going around & lifting everything on a handheld computerized material. He printed out a copy for me for donations, which was great. They curetted all away what I wanted.

They were very punctual, they arrived on time, they were good in general. It was for a big deal and they did not charge more. They were professional and well dressed. The price is competitive and they got all the work done.

These guys were great! They arrived on time to collect the stuff I gathered in my garage. They even looked around my garage for more junk to remove including their offer to remove some solvents that I didn't think they would take. Super friendly and super nice guys. It was such a fabulous experience. My load was more than what was anticipated and they didn't try to charge me more. I offered to pay more and they added $20, which I thought was fair and reasonable.

I spoke with the Owner/Charles who was pleasant. I told him the number of items/boxes/etc., that needed to be moved including sofas, tables, a piano, antiques, china, kitchenware and utensils, clothes, shoes, books, antique and regular cabinets, etc. - many items that would require a very large truck or two - even trash - a total clean-out of the many items that remained. They did not have a large enough truck so after arrival he had to go from Alexandria to Gaithersburg to get another truck. They were to write down everything taken but did not - not even one item. They actually took a bag and a few items that I set aside that I did not want taken including some valuable items I wanted to keep. I never did get a list. He consistently said he was too busy, trying to open another place, etc., etc. It took months to get a receipt after many calls. I liked the fact that many of these items would be sold by the pound to those "in need". They also disposed of trash. But, I would not use them again.

It went great. 2 gentlemen arrived promptly. I had several items to donate, and they were very professional. They explained what they were going to do and at the end of the job, they gave me an itemized sheet of what they took and an estimated total value. I liked that they worked hard to find a recycling/reuse center. They were adamant about not putting anything in the landfill.

As indicated above in my Ratings, everything was done in a very polite and professional manner, and for a reasonable price. Therefore, I would definitely use the Company's services whenever I need them in the future.

Donation Nation was great. On the scheduled day, they came with a small truck to haul away the number of items we'd itemized for them ahead of time. When they arrived at the house, they saw how many other non-itemized things we needed to deal with before the house could be put on the market and offered to help with those as well. Luckily, their large truck was still available at the warehouse so they called back to the office and Charles came with the big truck. The guys then worked like troopers for the next 3-4 hours hauling a wide variety of items including a very heavy pool table, several dressers, books, clothes, linens and kitchenware. It was amazing what they were able to accomplish in that period of time. Unfortunately, I instructed them to take several items that I found out later my Mother actually wanted to keep. I called Charles several days after they'd done the work and he worked for weeks trying to track down those items for us. We were able to recover a few key items but we weren't ultimately successful in retrieving my Dad's walking stick/cane. Although initially disappointed about the loss, my Mother was so touched by Charles' efforts and so impressed with the work that Donation Nation does that she was at peace knowing that the missing stick/cane had gone to someone who needed it more than we did. I think we might have ended up paying a bit too much (we were credited with what we had paid for the big deal rather than the value of the big deal when the final total was being calculated) but did not complain. I have and will continue to highly recommend Donation Nation.

These guys/gals are great! I had contacted them prior to Christmas and simply could not get my act together to go through all my stuff and prepare for their hauling services. They promptly replied each time I reached out to indicate that I wasn't ready to firm up a date that it was no problem and that they would honor the Big Deal whenever I was ready. Finally, many months later, I set up a date in February. They confirmed and we were on! Well, guess what happened....a day before the pickup, the winter storm warning was issued. I called them and we agreed that we would need to postpone since it was one of the 12 inch snows and they likely weren't going to send trucks that day. No problem at all! We confirmed for a week later and all was well. The day of the pickup, I was ready and they showed up on time. I pointed out all my staged items and then we walked around the house and I pointed out some more stuff. Every time, the response was, "Sure, no problem; we can take that!". After all items were loaded up, he cut me a receipt from his truck cab; indicating that I had a fair market value based on a couple of the items I had plus the overall value of the donation. It was easy, fast and really professional. I would use them again and told them so. I would also be recommending them to my friends. They are a GREAT company. Great mission, great service!!

Two very nice young men arrived in a big, good looking truck. It was at the end of the day, they must have been tired after loading all day long. Yet, they were ready to work, and did a very efficient job. What called my attention was how well they treated all the furniture when loading the truck. They reuse or recycle 90% of what they pick up. It is a brilliant service that they offer, as a non-profit. In the past I had hired other "junk removal" companies and they felt like "junk", treated the furniture like junk and charged expensively for removal. I highly recommend everyone to use Donation Nation if they need to declutter their house and give away old furniture and remove junk. on can also deduct the charge and the estimated value of what you donate from taxes.

This is one of the best experiences of my life as a home owner. I called Charles in the office and said "can you send a truck this afternoon?" and to my amazement he said yes. When it was clear to him that the truck was running 15 mins late he called me to let me know and sent an email. I had a sofa, large chest of drawers, really heavy treadmill, a day bed and umpteen other things that Brian and Flavio tossed about as if it was nothing. They got it all assembled in the truck in a remarkably short time. They are intelligent, strong, polite, obliging, good natured, and professional. I cannot say enough about what a fabulous experience it was as I was beginning to panic about what I was going to do. If you set the bar way high I would say that they still exceeded any expectations. Donation Nation must be quite an organization to employ such a great team and I have no doubt that their other teams are just as good. I am as grateful as I am impressed.

This is a wonderful service and everyone we dealt with was terrific -- polite, efficient, and good-humored. We had more stuff than would fit in the truck they brought, but no problem -- the first team took what they could and put the rest in the garage, where the organizer, Charles, retrieved it in a bigger truck shortly thereafter. Good to know that the non-junk will be donated and the recycleables recycled, as opposed to just going to a landfill. Aces all around for Donation Nation.

Better than I could have hoped. Brian and Justin were terrific -- smart and efficient and really nice guys. It took less than an hour for them to get all this stuff out of our basement (including a sofabed) and load it on the truck. Cannot recommend these guys or the company enough.
