I had an excellent experience. I dealt with Charles over the phone and he was one of two persons who came to my house to pick up the items. They came at the agreed to time, and were very efficient in picking up the furniture. In removing the furniture they were very careful in making sure neither the home, nor the furniture were damaged. I found their pricing to be reasonable, and they were very straightforward in explaining their pricing structure. I had contacted several junk removal and charitable organizations, and found Donation Nation to provide the best approach relating to the donation value of the charitable items.

Ryan and Justin were right on time at 8:00 AM on Saturday April 27th as agreed with the scheduler at Donation Nation. They were professional, pleasent, and quick. They removed the items and junck that I wanted removed for recycling. My experience could not have been better -- A uniform A+. I intend to use the services of Donation Natin again. We purchased an Angie's List Big Deal hoping to get rid of unwanted furniture in our basement that we were unable to move by ourselves. Charles Bailey responded to email and was able to offer us an appointment promptly. He called a few days before to remind. They showed up promptly and were extremely courteous and professional. It was a team of two with a large pickup-style truck (which held more than I thought it would). Very hassle-free. I also appreciate that their business tries to keep items out of landfills where possible. They print out a donation receipt on the spot, so try to have in mind a number for the total free market value of the items you are donating.

I am very pleased with Donation Nation. Charles Bailey called me within one hour of my scheduling a date for picking up my items. He called me again while en route and arrived at my house promptly. He and his colleague were very professional and easy to work with. There was a huge armoire that needed to be taken out of the basement which was not an easy task and they both were very patient and managed to remove it without breaking or scratching any thing. I appreciate their pleasant and 'can do' attitude and would hire them again in a heart beat.

The experience was great. They were very responsive to phone calls, and even called to say that traffic was heavy so they were going to be five minutes later than the appointed time (Five minutes! I've never known a contractor to be THAT concerned about keeping an appointment!) The two workers were polite and answered all my questions, even telling me about the level of recycling of things such as videotapes. I try to be "green" so it was very nice to know that the materials would be sorted and re-used or recycled whenever possible. I am very impressed by this company.

Everything was just great! They were very good, helpful, and on time. They actually were able to come early and called ahead. The workers were very eager to please the customer.

I was happy with the service. They called me to confirm their arrival time. When they arrived they introduced themselves and asked to see the items to be hauled. They moved the items very quickly and were done in about 15-20 minutes.

I signed up for an Angie's List Big Deal and was contacted right away and arranged a pickup date and time. Two gentlemen arrived right on time, loaded the truck within a few minutes, and printed an itemized list of the donated items on the spot. I have since recommended their services to two other people who are cleaning house/moving.

They arrived ontime and did an overview of everything that needed to be removed. They organized what should be removed in the order of how it was to be loaded on the truck and packed it to the brim. I asked if they could come back the next day, because I decided to get rid of more and they were able to get me into their schedule. Even in the snow/rain, they worked diligently to get it all loaded. They gave receipts for my donations and were grateful for them.

This was probably the best experience we have ever had with a service provider. The Angie's List Big Deal price was excellent and we definitely got our money's worth. Charles and Sean are lovely and pleasant, and we really enjoyed meeting and working with them. They are very efficient and know what they are doing. Scheduling was easy and they phone to confirm appointments. Among our items were 15-20 heavy boxes of books which they cheerfully collected from all over our house, including the 3d floor. Their truck holds a lot more than we realized and despite our best efforts to purge our house of stuff we did not have a full load. We were very happy that they did such a great job of collecting what we had set aside, but they went on to offer to move furniture or do other heavy lifting because we did not have a full truck load. We therefore had them move our heavy patio furniture out of storage from our garage. We boxed all of the books we donated, but they told us that next time we did not need to do this; they would bring big tubs to put them in. We highly recommend Donation Nation...and it is a great feeling to have moved our unwanted stuff on to others who may be able to use it rather than having it thrown into a landfill.

They arrived on time, took everything I asked them to take, and didn't nickel-and-dime me about whether it was more than half a truck. (and by truck, they mean a Dually pickup, not a dump truck). They gave me a tax receipt on the spot for the value of the goods they took plus the cost of their services. They can do this because they are a 501(c)3 non-profit, which is a big advantage they have over commercial services who send you receipts later based on what they are able to give to charities. Most other charity pick-up services (Salvation Army, Habitat for Humanity) are selective about what they'll take, meaning you need to call each of them for specific items, and then call a junk hauler for what no one wants. Donation Nation took everything with one appointment.

After some initial confusion on scheduling, they arrived promptly (actually early) for the rescheduled time and date. They were prompt, professional, courteous and careful, identify which boxes and items were to be removed, calculating the items for tax deduction, and loading everything on their truck. Despite the warm weather conditions, they worked quickly and efficiently. They completed the entire job in less than 90 minutes. (Trust me, there was a lot of stuff.) This is a superb team providing a valuable service at a cost-effective price point. Thanks and kudos to Angie's List for helping me find these guys.

The job went great. I was able to gain some working space to go through the rest of the junk and they are returning this month to haul out the rest of the contents of the basement.. I will be able to give them quite a bit of salvageable stuff and they are honoring the Angie's list membership and discount.

I bought their Bid Deal coupon; I did not have to pay any additional fee. They were excellent. They came on time and took what they needed to; that is all I can ask for. They were good communicators and were a pretty standard hauling company.

I like them very much. I had no complains at all. They came right on schedule. I didn't have to move things down and out of the driveway which was a real attractive thing about the deal they offered. They came and picked the furniture from where it was. They were polite, thorough and quick. If they did not understand something they asked me. I think the deal was very fair and I intend to call them again.

Purchased this as a gift for a friend. She says: "Needed the service to coordinate with delivery of new furniture, as I didn't have room for both at the same time. Had researched direct donation of items, but found that pickup service was sort of complicated to schedule. Also researched plain junk hauling services, but felt bad to send potentially useful items directly to a landfill. Unlike another nonprofit who bungled pick up 3 separate times and eventually told us they could not pick up the donation, Donation Nation gave us a specific time, showed up on time, picked up the items, gave us a receipt and left withing 10 minutes of arriving. This is how hauling service SHOULD work. Courteous, competent, and professional-the complete opposite of my previous experience with a well-known nonprofit. Although I value the work that nonprofit does, I will never again consider them for any kind of donation.

I ordered the coupon off of Angie's List. I received a call from Donation Nation scheduling a time to pick up my junk. They arrived early and finished within an hour. I was very happy with the service.

Charles called me within 5 minutes of buying the deal on Angie's List. He was kind and professional, and we scheduled a pick-up for that weekend. As promised, they called 15 minutes before our scheduled time, and then again just as they were arriving on-time. Both came out to shake hands and introduce themselves. Despite my living on the 5th floor with a tiny elevator, they did a great and efficient job of getting an entire truck full of furniture and other household items out of my place. They even took the time to take out a large desk that had been drilled into the wall. Even though I kept adding items, they just took it in stride. The whole thing took a little over an hour (going up and down in elevator probably slowed things a bit). It was the exact service that I needed, they made it as stress free as possible, and I definitely chose them because they are a non-profit that redistributes usable furniture/items to households in need. I would highly recommend them to anyone ready to clear out!

It went great. They responded promptly to my request for information. Their rate was very reasonable. And when there was a mix-up about time, the owner came by quickly and moved the stuff himself. Great customer service. And best of all, I know my stuff can be moved again.

They were also very punctual, arriving a few minutes before the agreed upon start time (and calling before they arrived). The Donation Nation team members were very professional and pleasant. This company provides the type of customer service others aspire to. Within 30 minutes of emailing them I received a phone call back. After discussing the items that needed hauling I was given an estimate of the cost and set up the appointment. Cost is based on percentage of the truck the items take up. They called me the day before to verify my appointment and again 30 minutes before the scheduled time to say they were on their way. They arrived on time and were courteous and careful moving items out so as not to damage walls and door frames. The cost turned out to be less than originally quoted. The best part is that the items they take will be directed to someone who can use them instead of being dumped in a landfill. And, it's a donation so they provide a receipt to use at tax time. I will recommend these guys to everyone and definitely use them in the future.
