They were punctual and friendly; however they both had muddy shoes/boots and tracked all over the areas where the furniture was in the house. Also, the truck is actually a pickup, so it is likely that 1/2 truckload will not be enough capacity - in my case, the price doubled from the deal amount because more of the truck was needed.

The team picked up an old refrigerator, a steel office desk, and some other stuff, filled one quarter of a truck, and carted away. They cleaned up and helped donate whatever was still usable. Very good service.

They hauled away a very small amount of debris. It did not seem worth specifically using them. Perhaps if you have concerns about how your debris will be recycled, this is the company, otherwise go with someone else for the money. Half a truck load is just a pick up truck.. Not much trash to haul away

They were on time, extremely efficient and friendly, and could not be more polite. I will only use them in the future when I have goods to give away or junk to haul.

Could nt have gone better. It took them about three hours, and they had to stop to cool off several times, as the attic wasn't cooled. They brought everything down and ensured I looked at it to determine if it should be given away. They then took all the unwanted items and charged me only for the size of the load, not for the huge effort.

Friendly and service-oriented, discussed donation in detail prior to order, checked in before appointment date, called before arrival on appointment date. Moved heavy items from house and basement, and pre-positioned items from garage. Easy payment by credit card and gave paper receipt with written inventory. Worthwhile service for fair price with added benefit of donation to help those in need through company's donation programs and resale of donated items at low prices. Fair value of items is tax deductible as well, an added benefit.

These guys are AMAZING!!! Based on their reviews on Angies List, I gave them a call on Monday the 27th of August and was able to set up a pickup time for 8 in the morning on Wednesday the 29th. They called before 8 o'clock and said they were stuck in some heavy traffic, and would be a bit late. It's DC traffic and it's morning rush hour. No worries here, and I was really grateful for the call. They showed up at a little after 8, introduced themselves, and we walked through the job. Based on the amount of material, they provided an estimate of the cost based on how much room they thought the items would take up in the truck. It was a range between $175 and $240. They came in at the low end, and were done within about a half an hour. Love the fact that as a 501c, the items that you donate are tax deductible as well. Will definately call these guys again if we have anything that needs to be hauled away.

I scheduled an appointment on a day and time convenient for me. They called about half an hour before arriving to let me know they were on their way and arrived exactly on time. They very quickly and carefully removed all the items to be hauled away in a pleasant and professional manner and provided me with a receipt for tax purposes for the items that could be redistributed.

The service went very well. They are very convenient. I only have to open the door and the service gets done. They take care of everything which is very nice.

I purchased a big deal from them and their services turned out excellent. I got a prompt response. You can make appointments online and they respond. They kept very good communication. They showed up when they said they were going to show up. They took everything that we needed taken away. We did not have a single problem. They were very professional.

Fantastic - I love this company's philosophy, and the fact that they were able to haul away my refrigerator (in good working condition) so it can be reused by another family.

Paid half price for half a truck, but ended up using a full truck, second half at regular price. They arrived on time, packed the truck well, took everything, cleaned up.

Went great. The movers were on time, took all the stuff out (two flights of stairs), loaded it and took everything away. They were very professional and courteous and didn't waste any time.

They showed up when expected and removed the items pretty quickly. They were careful not to damage the walls when removing furniture too. Very professional.

The company's point of contact was very responsive to all my questions. This transaction was a Angie's List Big Deal. Two men showed up on time, were very pleasant and polite. One listed all the items while the other collected them from throughout the house at my direction. Both men carried the items to the truck and at the end prepared a printout for me to keep for my tax records. They were very efficient and professional. I appreciated the service very much and will be using them again. I highly recommend the company and their services.

I purchased the big deal coupon for this service and it was fine. I scheduled the appointment probably 3 or 4 weeks after I purchased the big deal coupon. So they came when I scheduled them to come. I just paid the big deal amount. There would have been extra charges but I refused that. It was a truck pickup and I thought the truck was going to be bigger, but they came in a smaller truck. So that was the only thing, I think that I was a little disappointed with. I don’t know where I got the impression from about the truck being bigger than in what they had actually come in. I think it might have been a picture or something like that. So the volume that they were able to take was less than I had anticipated. In order to fill up the truck, it would have cost me 3 times than what I paid. I got half off of half a truck, but I would have had to pay a price which would have been triple in order to get the full truck. Since the price I paid was half, it was good. If I had to pay the full price, then it would have been expensive.

Although there was a miscommunication as to the original appointment time, once Charles and I spoke, the entire process could not have gone more smoothly. He and his assistant quickly loaded up their truck and provided me with an itemized receipt. Both inidividuals were very nice to work with and extremely efficient. Although there is a "cost" associated with the pick-up, getting rid of items that had been sitting in my basement for years and knowing that usable items were not going into a landfill was priceless.. I would definitely recommend this company and would use them again.

We purchased a big deal for the service, and it worked out fine. They came, got the stuff out straightaway. Two strong guys came and they were able to haul a heavy TV down to the truck and take it away. They were a little late in coming out.

The guys were great and very friendly and professional. I paid extra and they took away some really crazy heavy stuff for me. I would highly recommend them.

We were very satisfied with the work done by Donation Nation. We only paid the initial price of the Big Deal. There were no extra charges.
