This is a project we had put off for quite some time.  We obtained quotes from four different contractors and decided to go with DMV. The price was not the lowest but it was not the highest, either.  The salesperson, Oscar, put us at ease immediately by addressing our needs and asking the right questions at the first visit.  He was professional, courteous and knowledgeable about what could and could not be done.  He helped us figure out what design would work out best in terms of functionality and design.  Upon meeting Javier, the owner, we quickly realized that he was the reason this company is successful.  He sets the tone for his professional, courteous and talented staff. Both Oscar & Javier were easily reachable by email and by phone throughout the project.
 
The work began and was completed on time.  The crew would consistently check to make sure everything was completed to specs and as we expected.  A couple of times, I even made some changes and they easily accommodated.  The technician that installed the tile took immense time in making sure the tile was placed just right and with the best use of space and materials.  I don't think he could have been more diligent if he were working in his own home.  I could go on and on but the bottom line is that I did not have one minute of regret for hiring this company.  The personal, professional and excellent service is something every company should aspire to.  
They will be doing another bathroom (or two) for us in the coming months.

DMV Kitchen and Bath was an excellent contractor choice for us.  We requested quotes from three companies including DMV.  We were most impressed with DMV?s responsiveness and presentation; they grasped the scope of the initial limited renovations we desired, and cordially allowed us to amend and expand the scope of work as it progressed.  Our suggestions were always congenially discussed and evaluated for implementation by Javier Nogales (Projects Manager), even if rework was required. We were exceptionally pleased with his entire renovation team.   Evan and Oscar (Sales, Design and Contracting), were always prompt, responsive, and accommodating as work progressed. 

The interaction and collaboration were superb. They consistently listened to our ideas and suggestions and consulted on updating the scope of work.  Javier?s cordiality and professionalism were refreshing. We were also impressed with the worker-bees (Maynor, Marcos, and Luis). They arrived promptly every morning and did sustained work nonstop throughout each day.  They were deliberate, attentive to the details, and asked for clarifications, when needed, which they conveyed immediately to Javier, Oscar, or Evan in the office.  The workers (carpenters, electricians, granite installers, painters) were always very polite when they came to the house; they were knowledgeable, thorough, and fast.

DMV let us be actively engaged in the project from beginning to end.  We were impressed with their patience, dedication, and diligence.  They provided us with a beautiful bathroom.  Make your needs and expectations clear, and DMV will do a great job for you.  Their customer service responsiveness was excellent.  Great work, DMV! 

On time, within scheduled time period and no problems.

DMV came in for an initial cost estimate and design conversation. They came up with the best design to make the best use of the available space. Overall, they did a great job. There were a few things I would have made more clear with them upfront but they were relatively minor. I was a bit disappointed with the electrician they used as I had asked for all of the outlets to be upgraded and even purchased new outlets that simply had to be installed, however, this was not completed. I chalked that one up to a simple miscommunication. Otherwise, I was pleased with the work which came in on budget and on-time.  I would hire DMV again.

I have a beautiful new kitchen. DMW and Oscar were great.  I tend to be a patient person so any concerns/questions I had were addressed and worked out very professionally to my satisfaction. A hiccup did occur to which Oscar and Javier addressed/solved expeditiously; again, to my satisfaction.  
I was ready to do cabinet refacing:  DMV provided me a reasonable quote for new cabinets.
I, however, added upgraded cabinets and additions until it became a full blown kitchen remodeling project.  I am glad I did.  Oscar was very helpful with the additional design, selection of backsplash tiles, cabinets, and under counter lightning, etc.  I was impressed with the skills and diligence of the workers (electrical, plumbing, lighting, tear out/replacement of new, etc.) I am particularly fond of the way my backsplash tiles are arranged in fact they offered me a choice of how I wanted them patterned.
 I would definitely recommend and use DMV for other projects.

They were on time.  I received a partial estimate 4 days later.  I requested terms for the estimate (payment terms, permit details, etc) which I never received.

We contacted DMV based on Angie's List  reviews after another contractor failed to show up.  DMV's estimator came out and gave us an estimate on the spot.  When we asked for expedited service, he arranged for Javier, the project manager, to meet with us the next day.  The following day (Saturday) they sent a man to measure for the countertop and another crew to do the necessary demolition and haul away the old counter, sink, and associated plumbing.  The work began the following Tuesday and was completed by 5:00 on Wednesday.



Every step in the process was completed with professionalism and meticulous attention to detail.  When they encountered problems such as a leak in the main water line valve and missing parts to the new water filter assembly, they provided the necessary parts and did the repairs without skipping a beat.  Javier was available whenever we called with questions and he accommodated all of our scheduling needs.



Contractor experiences with this old house of ours has ranged from OK to absolute nightmare over the years, so we have learned to approach these needs with caution. Our experience with DMV was by far the best.  We would highly recommend them to anyone without any reservation or hesitation.

It was great.  They came and gave an estimate.  They helped us figured everything out.  The demolition took 4 days.  They did great taking everything out.  They hauled everything away.  They made sure the refrigerator was working the whole time.  They put the counter-tops and appliances in.  The price was reasonable.

DMV arrived on time every morning and completely cleaned up at the end of each day.   We communicated with the  workers each morning about what was to be done and how we wanted things done (e.g. tile work, placement of light fixtures, etc.).  All of the DMV employees seemed very eager to please and were very hard workers.  The same crew came for most of the work, but on a few occasions, different guys came for some finishing touches.  When the granite guy, shower glass guy,  or the electrician needed to come, someone from DMV was always there to meet them so that we didn't have to come home from work.  In fact, we didn't have to take any time off work during this remodel.  They worked very quickly and the remodel didn't take as long as expected.  Any delays had to do with items ordered that were on back order and had not been received.  Waiting for the glass for the shower enclosure took the longest-about a week.  
DMV did a great job with our master bath remodel.  But what makes them standout as EXCELLENT in my mind is what happened about 6 months after the job was completed.  On the Friday night preceding Memorial Day weekend, we noticed water dripping from the ceiling in our dining room.  The dining room is directly below the master bath, so we called DMV.  They responded immediately even though it was after 5 pm on a holiday weekend.   They recommended turning off the water in the house, which we did, but the water continued to pour out of the ceiling!  At 8:30 pm, a DMV employee came to our home, cut open the ceiling and walls, found the source of the leak, and stopped the leak.  He left our home at about 10 pm.   We had no use of the master bath toilet for the weekend, but at least the water had stopped dripping into our dining room and further damage to our home was prevented.  On Tuesday morning at 8 am, DMV sent someone out to fix the pipe/plumbing so we could use the toilet.  The following day, DMV sent employees out to repair our drywall and repaint the ceiling and walls.  I was so impressed with their customer service, even 6 months after our job was completed.  There is no question in my mind that they stand behind their work 100%.    Thank you DMV!!!   We can't wait to start our next bathroom remodel with  DMV!

The replacement of my old lighting with recessed lighting involved a lot of dry walling which was a very dusty job. They took care to put up lots of plastic sheeting to mitigate the mess. The completed job, which also included a pendant light, looks great. They also installed granite countertops. I appreciate that Oscar helped me pick out the "perfect" color for my cabinets, floor and price range. (Another contractor who bid on the job offered little assistance which, for me, was pretty overwhelming). It was nice to have a trained, experienced eye to help me with the decision--which proved to be the right one. All the workers were very polite and arrived on time. They worked so diligently that they completed the job In four days--a day earlier than anticipated. I made a couple of modifications to the original contract with no hassle. The whole experience from beginning to end was a good one, and I gladly recommend them.

DMV Kitchen and Bath has done a superb job in remodeling our Master Bath and Guest Bath. For our Master Bath, Javier  , the Project Manager designed and got installed beautiful granite shower walls with great shower floor tiles, frameless shower glass door, floor tiles, recessed lights, granite counter top and tiles with glass back splash around the bath tub. For the guest bath, he matched the Master Bath design, with beautiful floor tiles with back splash and tiles around the tub, granite counter tops and vanity. Mr. Javier excelled in his customer care where he always made us feel special  every step of the way to complete the project on time within the budget with attention to details. Over and above Javier always was commemorative for any additions and changes during the project without any fuss and always pleasant. I added a couple of changes and it was not an issue. He has an excellent project team of well skilled, dedicated and polite members like Maynor, Marcos, Lewis, granite installer Nogi and the electrician Ruben. Javier takes pride in his project and his team also does the same.







We are also remodeling our kitchen thru DMV Kitchen and Javier is again the leading person of the project. It is nearing completion and looks very impressive. We will write a review soon after the project is completed. We are very pleased with the quality of the work performed by DMV and will be glad to provide referrals for prospective DMV customers.

I obtained bids for four A rated angie's list contractors and chose DMV for cost competitiveness.  DMV came in and took pictures of my kitchen, developed a cost estimate and emailed it to me.  I went to their showroom, chose some upgrades, and executed a contract with them.  There was a mixup on the cabinet order which caused a 2 week delay in the start date.  Once the cabinets were in, DMV came in and completed the demo and rebuild within 2 weeks.  They rebuilt the laundry stacking the appliances and even custom built two doors to match the shaker style cabinets. We had another week delay because the backsplash that I wanted was on back order.  Once everything was in, DMV completed the work and paid close attention to the detail. Javier made sure I was 100% satisfied every step of the way.  All in all, the remodel took a bit longer than I anticipated, but the workers are skilled, polite, and professional; and the kitchen is beautiful.

First, I have worked with many contractors in the past, usually finding them through referrals.  This is the first one I used for renovations off of Angie's List and I couldn't tell you how pleased I am with my experience with DMV.  Javier and his team were very responsive in quoting out the work, they worked within my budget and we still were able to achieve the exact look and and feel I wanted for the kitchen.  I provided the design inspiration, and also knew what look, tiles, and color scheme I wanted.  Something I recommend to everyone is to cut out or bookmark images that serve as an inspiration to your project to help the contractor understand the look you are going for.  DMV was able to work within my short time-frame and obtained the cabinets and commenced work on-schedule. 
Their team is professional, quiet, and courteous, and kept the place clean after each day.  I did not receive one emergency call, or any calls to inform me something could not be done.  Each day I visited the remodel and provided real-time feedback on any questions.   Javier and the team were responsive and flexible in meeting any small new requests I had as well, which I appreciated.  I wish I could post a before and after picture for you, the kitchen really looks fabulous and transformed the entire condo space into an open concept flow.

We are thrilled with the work DMV Kitchen & Bath did for us. They completely transformed our dark and dated bathroom and bedroom into a light- filled, spa- like atmosphere. Highlights include the frame less glass enclosure for the shower, beautiful cabinetry and closet area affording plenty of storage, heated tile floor, privacy wall for the toilet area, gorgeous granite counter top for the vanity, task lighting everywhere needed,a generously sized framed mirror over the vanity, and meticulous paint job in the bedroom and bathroom. We were very impressed by the quality of the materials Oscar and Javier presented as options within the contract price, and with the top-notch craftsmanship and professionalism of every employee they sent into our home. We also found them to be very flexible with us, working around our travel schedule in a manner that set the schedule for completion back a bit, but at our request, so no complaints. One tip I would offer is that Oscar and Javier rightly look to the customer to choose the materials and overall look and design of the renovation, so it helps if you have a strong sense of what you want and an ability to choose with confidence from a variety of high-quality options. And as with all contractors, it is important to review the work daily to make sure that no miscommunications have occurred. The few that occurred in our case were immediately remedied when we noted them. We would absolutely hire them again.

DMV was extremely responsive, professional, friendly, and helpful from the start. The contractor who came to put together the estimate was helpful in assisting me in making good choices for the best price. He asked what I was looking for and what I wanted and made good recommendations. Their estimate for all labor and materials was the same as an estimate for JUST the shower stall work from a competitor (I did not tell DMW what the other estimate was). I went to the showroom to see their materials and was impressed with the quality and selection. When there was a miscommunication about scheduling, the owner contacted me directly and made sure that things would be on schedule within my timeline (I had people moving in at a certain time). The workers were friendly and polite. The flooring I chose turned out to be special order when it was normally carried in store. The owner made sure it was taken care of himself and explained the length of time it would take for the order and alternatives if I didn't want to wait (which I did). Everyone was on time and worked diligently. I was absolutely thrilled with all aspects of the work. At one point, my main drain backed up. The workers told me immediately that there was a problem, when I contacted the owner of DMV to ask for a referral to a plumber, he said one of his men could take care of it and called him right away. DMV went above and beyond to ensure that I was happy with the work and the materials. When an unexpected problem arose that was unrelated to the contract, they stepped up to take care of it rather than simply passing me off to someone else. I have dealt with numerous contractors over the years, I have never been happier. I wish I'd known these guys 10 years ago. Going forward DMV will be my go-to contractor for kitchen and bath work. Outstanding.

Oscar was great to work with - very professional and detail oriented. I received quotes from 4 contractors and he was very thorough in measuring out the space and looking into materials (more than others). We ended up using a different contractor who had done more work in the condo building/was familiar with the requirements on site - but I would have been happy to work with DMV!

Before I start my review, I would like to start by saying that I work for a large general contractor in the area and therefore have very high standards and expectations when it comes to construction.  I mainly manage high end renovations for commercial office buildings (law firms, etc?).  Although I do this for a living, I became slightly overwhelmed when we had to find a residential general contractor to do work in our home.  We wanted to make sure that we did our research before bringing a GC on board.  We finally ended up going to three different contractors for pricing.  We found DMV on Angie's List and they had great reviews, so we added them to the list.  They came in the lowest and also allowed us to do everything that we wanted to do.  We decided to go with DMV based upon their pricing, reviews, and responsiveness.  Their proposal showed cost breakdowns per area/item, which none of the other contractors included. They also did NOT include allowances in their proposal like other general contractors did.  When you see a list of allowances in a proposal, make sure to question or walk away!  You may end up paying much, much more than you are expecting to pay!  Anyway, I did an extensive review of their contract and felt comfortable moving forward.
We ended up working with Oscar and Javier.  I cannot say enough good things about these guys.  They were very responsive, which is something that I value a lot.  I called them a lot and was very involved throughout the entire life cycle of the project.  The guys met us whenever we needed them to and most importantly made us feel like we were their only client!  That was huge for me!  It's not easy to do and they excelled at that.  They also worked Monday through Saturday, which helps.  They even worked some Sundays to get the job done.  Their crews were respectful of our house and even spoke very softly when we were around.  Grover was one of our favorites!  He did a lot of the finishing work and always had a great attitude.  I know that they all work really hard and so I especially appreciate the positive attitude. 
One of the things that I appreciated the most with Javier and Oscar was their patience!  We had a tough time deciding on some finishes, including the backsplash.  Not once did we feel pressured into making any decisions.  The guys were realistic about the consequences of waiting a bit longer to make our decisions, but they never pushed us.  I really appreciated that.  Oscar also met
us at several different granite shops.  We were very specific about what we wanted and he went the extra mile to try and find it!  All of the countless hours of searching were well worth it!     
In construction, there are always going to be unforeseen conditions and other challenges that come up, either with materials or with existing conditions.  DMV dealt with everything in a very professional manner and made sure that we were happy with the final product. When we finally decided on our kitchen floor tile, we found out that it was back ordered and that the tile would
not be coming in until 4 months after we needed it.  Needless to say, we could not wait.  Oscar and Javier brought us several new samples and helped us find a tile that would work.  We were very picky and it took a while to get the tile replacement, but we are very happy with the end result.  There are always going to be problems in construction.  The important thing is how problems are dealt with.  They were very helpful and walked us through everything.   I also think that is important to note that the guys did not nickel and dime us for little changes here and there.  If there was a legitimate change, then yes, it would be a change order, but if not, it would go away.  
We had extensive plumbing work that needed to be done, as we moved some walls and our powder room.  Several pipes had to be relocated.  DMV went above and beyond what they needed to do and changed some extra piping that was in need of replacement so that we would have a cohesive and updated system.  They took responsibility for this and did not come back for extra money.        
I think that it is important to mention that we had two very difficult tiles to install.  One was an hourglass shaped glass tile that required many cuts and the other was a hand made subway tile that had uneven edges.  They both look great! Orlando installed the subway ceramic tile.  He did an amazing job.  He made it look effortless, but he had to be very precise when installing because not all of the tiles were identical.
All in all, I highly recommend these guys.  They are very hard workers and I have a lot of respect for their work and their character.  I was very demanding and not the easiest client to please.  With that being said, I am very happy not only with the final result, but also with the process.  I look forward to working with them again in the future!

We had a great experience with DMV which we hired to do a complete bathroom remodel.  We met with lots of contractors and are very happy with our decision to go with DMV.  First we worked with Oscar who was very knowledgeable and helpful.  We knew exactly what we wanted and DMV was able to bring it to reality.  Orlando and Eduardo were our crew and they were fantastic, they showed up everyday at 7:30 am and always put in a full day, sometimes 10 to 12 hours.  They always prepared the house with drop clothes and plastic sheeting and did a thorough clean up each night.  They worked everyday until the job was done.  This has been the best contractor experience we ever had.  When issues came up Javier or Oscar were always available and responded quickly.  We definitely recommend DMV for all types of renovation, and we definitely will choose to hire again for any future remodeling work.

DMV was very responsive and flexible when scheduling time for us to come to the showroom to pick out materials.  When the work started, they set up tarps on floors and hanging in hall to prevent dust traveling into the kid's bedrooms.  The work was done very efficiently and we were very happy with the end product.  I really liked that they tiled all the way up to the ceiling, whereas other companies we spoke to would only tile just past the top of the shower.

I needed to redo most of the master bathroom. Oscar at DMV helped me select a beautiful cabinet, knobs, faucet, granite countertop, flooring and so on. I had struggled with shopping for materials on my own. DMV made it easy - and all within my budget!  Javier was the project leader. They began the job exactly when they said they would, arrived punctually every day, worked hard while they were here, and were very nice to work with! All of the work was completed smoothly and professionally.  They left me a large deck of paint colors to make it easy for me to choose. They did all the purchasing and installation. They also were very generous about adding on a couple of extra tasks without even charging for the labor.
Another contractor I had spoken with (before going to DMV) insisted that I could not re-do most of the bathroom without doing all of it (and he wanted $15000 for that larger job). I wanted to keep the shower, lighting, and toilet to reduce the cost. DMV put no pressure on me to do anything more than I wanted, and I am completely happy with the result. I would absolutely work with them again!

The folks from DMV, from the initial consultation with Oscar and Javier, to the final day of remodeling, were awesome.  Their men were professional, efficient, responsive, and above all, eager and willing to work with us to fix any issues that arose. They stuck to the initial estimate regardless of some issues along the way that required extra labor and materials on their part. For example, when they went to turn off the water in the basement, they found a minor leak in the master faucet, which they fixed for us. They replaced that faucet with a more efficient one. They also replaced an outside faucet and the other master faucet on the inside ceiling which feeds it. This took an extra 4-5 hours and they still didn't add additional charges.

The company that provided the tile for the kitchen backsplash sent an olive green color rather than the caramel color that we ordered. Since the boxes indeed read "caramel," we all assumed it was the correct tile and they went ahead and installed it. After installation, we realized it was a different color. DMV tried to get the tile company to replace it, but they wouldn't. The company said they warn folks that the tiles may be a slightly different shade and that it should be inspected before it's installed. Javier realized we were unhappy with this and said that his men would replace the tile with whatever tile we chose at no additional cost. You don't get this kind of service very often.

All of the men at DMV were wonderful to work with; however, Orlando stood out in our eyes. He was such a pleasure to work with! In addition, Javier and Oscar were always very responsive, answering our calls and emails promptly and working with us to resolve minor issues that naturally arise during such projects.

My wife and I are extremely pleased with the job that DMV did and would hire them back in a heartbeat. We also give them our highest recommendation. Do yourself a favor and look no further than DMV if you are one who is looking for fair prices, good workmanship, and great communication during your remodeling project.

We needed to gut and remodel the hall bath so we could share it with our kids after giving up our master bedroom / bath. We had many estimates and there was only one lower than DMV, and the work clearly would not have been of the same caliber. Oscar was the only one who looked at the room and came up with a design that included removing an interior wall and replacing it with half glass / half wall, moving the shower / tub plumbing, resulting in a much more open feel in the small bathroom (roughly 8' x 8'.)
Oscar and Javier were both incredibly responsive and the crews they sent did terrific work. They were helpful and patient as we were choosing accent tiles and other details. Their tile guy takes great pride in his work and we are very happy with the final product. If we ever had a concern about anything along the way Javier made sure that it was handled.

Everything went splendidly and all work was done to highest standards.  Workers were courteous, efficient and extremely helpful.  I would recommend them without reservation.

This is an update review as I used DMV for my powder room upgrade in February.  I had some crown molding installed and after a week, there were some cracks at the seams.  I emailed Ibrahim and Javier, who were quick to respond that they will order me a new mirror and send someone to take care of the crown molding.  I also let them know of still some areas that I wanted touched up, like the door frame.  Orlando and another guy came out and they worked on the areas I noted needed touching up.  They opened the new mirror and because of the packaging, the corner of the mirror frame was scuffed up and though Orlando touched it up. He let Javier know of the defect on the 2nd mirror.  Javier called and wanted to let me know that he was going to get another new mirror for me even thought I told him that the fixed up scuff was something I could live with.  He wanted me to be happy and stand behind the work so he still wanted to replace the mirror.  DMV has been excellent with their approach to customer service and Javier has responded greatly to ensure 100% satisfaction.  I would highly recommend them for any future work because they will keep coming back to address any big or minor issues.
