DMV Kitchen and Bath just finished the second project at our home. The first in late 2022 was a major upgrade and enlargement of a primary bathroom and creation of a walk-in closet. We love it and it turned out gorgeous. The second project was finished in November 2024 and the results are even better. We needed to repair a room in the basement that had had water damage. We decided to include a variety of other updates for our home at the same time. DMV worked closely with us to bring our vision into existence. In the basement we now have a new fourth bedroom, including 2 large new closets along with new lighting, paint and doors in other rooms on that level. The large laundry room was gutted with new kitchen cabinets and pantries installed along with new lighting. The other 2 bathrooms in the house were upgraded to the same vanities and cabinets as the primary bathroom. Javier provided great assistance helping us with the design, selection of materials, and practicality of various ideas and solutions. David, as leader of the construction crew, was exceptionally good at communicating with us and coordinating and supervising all of the workers involved in the project. David and his staff did great work. We are very pleased with the final project. We highly recommend DMV.

I was impressed with the overall transaction and the actual work performed. Project managers Javier and Frank were friendly and informative. The person who did 90% of all the actual work (William) was exceptional. He a no nonsense type of guy and excels in all facets of the job. My wife and I love the finished product.

DMV did a wonderful job on our remodeled master bathroom. Ivan was very skilled in the remodeling project. Ivan was able to complete the project start to finish. Ivan’s skills are the best I have seen in remodeling work. The new bathroom is luxurious and feels like an exclusive expensive hotel bathroom. I would recommend DMV and Ivan to do your next project. We also had DMV remodel our kitchen and it also is spectacular.

DMV was the first of 6 contractors that I had spoken with to completely remodel my kitchen. They were prompt, to the point, and quick to give a design and a quote. I liked their input and ideas, but surfed around for another month, worked with an architect and several other designers, and evetually came back to what DMV had designed from the beginning. (Wish I had skipped the pricey architect!) They gave good advice on things that seemed so simple (cabinet pulls) but were overwhelming when you looked at all of the possible options. The job only took 18 days (though the space was "easy" since my basement is unfinished and they had easy access to move pipes, wiring and ducts. My electric panel also had a lot of space in it and did not require any crazy upgrade.) The only minor delays were my fault as I took some time mulling over a few things. My neighbors commented that the workers were extremely courteous, clean, and quiet and did not disturb them throughout the project. My kitchen renovation did not change the footprint, however, I did move an extrerior door and changed the size and placement of a new window. The project was completed a month ahead of schedule and on budget. Everything was kept clean while in process and I was really not inconvenienced by not haing a workable kitchen very much at all. Javier, Lucas, Alex and John were great at communicating and they were on time or early every day. I highly recommend them.
Description of Work: I had the kitchen remodeled, by that I mean, footprint was the same, but everything inside was gutted, including the floor, exterior doors moved, pipes moved, vents moved, electric moved, windows changed, etc. It went very well.

There are not enough STARS to give DMV Kitchen and Bath! This was our first renovation project in an 80 year old house; we had a primary bathroom completely gutted and renovated into one that supported aging in place. Lucas was our project manager and did an incredible job. His communication was SUPERB and their bid was one of the best of 6 companies we compared. Lucas answered every single question we had and made sure we felt confident. The team working in our house, Jacinto and Jefferson, were so talented, kind and meticulous. Our house was always left incredibly clean and we were given the opportunity to ask questions every single day. This company is second to none. We can't wait to plan our next project.

These guys were great! We selected them because they were reasonably priced, but they were also fast and professional. They renovated two bathrooms and were done in 3 weeks with both bathrooms. And they even came back immediately when I contacted them for minor repairs that, with other contractors, have taken weeks to resolve.
Description of Work: Full renovation of two bathrooms. No changes to the layout.

DMV Kitchen and Bath RECOMMENDATION 2023 March In December 2022-January 2023, DMV Kitchen and Bath completely gutted and rebuilt 2 bathrooms for me (foundation, pipes, electric – everything). In addition, they restored several 110 year-old door transoms, installed new doors (5 panel solid wood) throughout the house, upgraded some woodwork, installed two pocket doors, and painted a few rooms. We used high quality materials throughout, not builder-grade. This is the third time I’ve asked DMV Kitchen and Bath to do a major renovation in one of my properties over the last 10 years. Each time they have done superior work when it comes to: • Doing service properly on first try • Promptness • Letting you know cost early • Neatness of work • Pleasantness • Advice on service options and costs • Overall quality • Prices I cannot recommend DMV Kitchen and Bath more highly. All three times, it’s been a hassle-free experience with excellent results. They’ve exceeded my (high) expectations every time.

I had 2 bathrooms upgraded by DMV Kitchen and Bath, and I couldn’t be happier. Lucas, the designer and overseer of the project, as well as his team were a pleasure to work with and were very flexible. Communication was excellent from initial design to completion. Lucas assisted me in choosing the products and made the selection so easy for me. I have absolutely no complaints. The workers were prompt, worked efficiently, and were very skilled. When something did come up, I was consulted, and the issue was taken care of quickly and without question. The men even did a little extra in one of the bathrooms, and I was so appreciative. Lucas and his men were very professional, detail oriented, and respected me as well as my home. I couldn’t have asked for anything more. When it comes time to update my kitchen, I will look no further than this company. They are truly fabulous to work with and do exceptional work. I highly recommend them.
Description of Work: Needed new flooring, cabinets, counter tops, and toilets in 2 bathrooms and just a toilet in a 3rd.
We selected DMV based on our previous experience with the company starting with Rolando who successfully remodeled our kitchen and 3 baths back in 2015 and with Javier in remodeling of 1 bathroom, construction of an outdoor shed, and finally remodeling of our 1st and 2nd floors. For details on this more recent 2022 project consult my review elsewhere on Anji. . The construction area consisted of two sides of the basement--the “finished” side for an office *** guest room plus a small hallway; the other, a larger “unfinished” side for storage. The project began by moving everything in the small hallway to other parts of the house. Then they cleared what would be the “finished” side of the basement moving the sofa bed, several desks, 3 bookcases, a couple office chairs, a table, several bookcases, 7 file cabinets, clothes and other items from the closet, and numerous boxes of books plus files removed from file cabinets to the other side of the basement or, when necessary, to other parts of the house, outdoor shed, and garage while they worked on the “finished” side. Some of the items in the “unfinished” side had to be moved out of the basement to another part of the house to make room for heavier items that could not be lugged upstairs without breaking someone’s back. Two more file cabinets that I had not yet emptied they moved on a dolly to the other side of the basement. I regretted having emptied the 7 other file cabinets so that even more boxes with file contents had to be carefully labelled and moved to the other side. That was my fault! It was a complex undertaking since we were adding to what was already stored on the “unfinished” side, but the men were creative, cooperative, and experienced in meeting the challenge with us. The work began on the “finished” side and small hallway with demolition of the existing ceiling and lighting. Once the men cleaned up that mess they installed electrical cabling, wood, and drywall for the ceiling. They repaired the 2 feet of drywall around the bottom perimeter of the wall. Once the basic structure was in place they applied 2 coats of plaster to the walls and ceiling, and then sanded them. They taped the corners and joints. Following our selection of paint, they applied primer on the walls and ceiling, sanded, and then applied 2 coats of off-white paint to the walls and ceiling. What a beautiful transformation of the walls! To prepare for the installation of the luxury vinyl tile floor planks on the “finished” side and hallway they evened out the existing concrete with additional concrete. They lay the beautiful, brownish-gray floor planks on the concrete floor. Javier convinced us that the brownish-gray would be a good selection and he was right. Then the men installed baseboards and shoe molding around walls of the finished side and hallway. At some point they installed 8 recessed lights. What amazing acoustics in that room while it was still empty! In the latter phase of the “finished” side Alvaro repaired, sanded, and painted the stairway and lay the luxury vinyl tile floor planks to the stairs. To match the stairway, he sanded and stained the stair railing to match the stairs. He also repaired, sanded, and painted the walls off-white on either side of the stairway and the ceiling. Finally he painted the door separating the basement and kitchen. What a major transformation of that stairway! We were so pleased with the results! In the next phase of the project we transferred our attention to the “unfinished” side. After covering all the furniture, boxes, etc. with plastic they installed electrical cabling, wood, and dry wall on the ceiling. Then they applied plaster to the ceiling, sanded it, primed and painted it with 2 coats of paint. Then they installed 11 recessed lights to what previously was a deep, dark dungeon. When that major work was completed and the plastic removed, they vacuumed the area as best they could and moved the furniture and some of the boxes and bins back to the “finished” side. After a gap in construction Alvaro installed four heavy-duty, industrial-welded, steel storage units with adjustable shelves along the walls of the “unfinished” side of the basement so we didn’t have to worry about flimsy shelves collapsing with the weight of heavy boxes and plastic bins. Gradually we filled the shelves and file cabinets, moving some items temporarily stored in other parts of the house back to the basement. Alvaro (?) also installed a steel storage unit at one end of the garage to hold our daughters’ heavy boxes, some of which had been moved out of the basement and were collapsing with the weight of far too many boxes stacked on each other. Thanks to Javier for that creative solution to the problem! The DMV workmen did some additional jobs not directly related to repairing and painting walls and ceilings, installing hardwood/vinyl floors and lighting in the basement. Once the major work was done in the basement they went upstairs and moved some of the remaining displaced items to other parts of the house, garage, and shed. They installed a smoke detector and carbon monoxide detector, secured 2 bookcases to the wall, installed 3 transition pieces on the floors beneath the doorways, and installed 3 dimmers for the lights. After completing most of the work in the basement they performed extra tasks not listed in the contract upstairs, tasks like tightening the screws in a door that would not close, installing a toilet seat, repairing a knob on one of our utility closets, and moving an office chair in the family room to the garage for goodwill. Fabio installed 4 internet connections: 2 in the basement, 1 in the family room on the ground floor, and 1 in the den on the second floor. Finally my husband and I could use our computers! Then when all was said and done the men installed dimmers swept and cleaned the two sides of the basement and hallway one last time. Muchas gracias to Alex and Wilmer for doing most of the moving, cleaning, and trash collection, to Alvaro and Cesar for doing the construction including installation of the shelving units, to Fabio for installing the 4 internet connections, and to Orlando and Jose for wrapping things up at the end. Bon trabajo! The quality of materials and workmanship on the basement remodeling was exceptional as we have come to expect of this company. And because we are an elderly couple we really appreciated the extra help in moving things around in the basement and around the house. The workmen were reliable, polite, honest, skilled, hardworking, and flexible in adjusting to additions and changes from time to time. They always took extra care to clean up at the end of the day and to pick up trash as it was collected. The price seems reasonable given the extra work not previously budgeted. Javier was great at planning, communicating, and allowing for extra time when we needed it to make decisions on where to put things or to do some of the moving ourselves, but he could certainly have benefited from having a right-hand man to assist him when he was not immediately available. We would highly recommend DMV for home remodeling projects. DMV Kitchen and Bath did our kitchen several years ago and we were so pleased with the outcome and professionalism that we decided to work with them again to get our two bathrooms and laundry room renovated. Javier and his team went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with every single item. Javier was always reachable and we never had to worry about something being done to our dissatisfaction. He truly stands by his work and makes sure you are 100% happy with the outcome. He had also helped us select materials and come up with a nice design! The bathrooms look gorgeous and we couldn’t be happier! In the future we are thinking of adding an attic bathroom and we wouldn’t hesitate to hire them again!

We highly recommend DMV Kitchen and Bath. They remodeled our 3 full bathrooms, and updated our kitchen counters and back splash. We started by choosing 3 highly rated companies from Angi, and requested quotes from each. One of the 3 would have had us acting as our own buyers, and we wanted the contractor to take care of that. Of the remaining two, DMV's quote was significantly lower than the other. Our designer Javier was very attentive to our wishes and took the time to make sure that we understood what was to be done and were happy with the materials that we had chosen. The two-man team who did the work were very competent, energetic and efficient. There were a few small problems along the way, but Javier and his team did what was necessary to correct any problems to our satisfaction. We are very happy with the results, and would definitely use them again. Highly recommended!
Description of Work: Remodeled 3 full baths, replaced kitchen countertops and back splash, installed new range and range hood.
We selected DMV based on our previous experience with the company, starting with Rolando who successfully remodeled our kitchen and 3 baths back in 2015. This time we had an emergency and Javier responded quickly, asking his men to remove a cracked tub and demolish the surrounding tiles. In their place they installed a new tub and plumbing plus beautiful new tiles for the surrounding wall, adding 2 grab bars, one for the tub and the other for the Master shower to prevent our slipping and falling. They cleaned the grout in our Master shower and Hall tub, applied silicone and sealant, and painted the baseboard and wall near the tub. Aside from the work in the bathroom and shower, they replaced the screen in an exterior window, secured some areas in the garage ceiling with screws, and removed, painted and reinstalled our exterior shutters. Muchas gracias to David and David! Bon trabajo! During the early, uncertain days of the Pandemic when we were nervous to have anyone do remodeling inside our house, we asked Javier to do some work outdoors. He ordered a wood storage shed from Home Depot and it was delivered to our front yard without telling anyone. The DMV men unpacked the box and discovered some necessary parts were missing so returned to Home Depot to buy them. They leveled the slope in our backyard and set the foundation for the shed. Then they added shingles, windows, doors, and a ramp. They painted the outside of the shed and added a ramp, selecting a sturdier paint for the latter. They installed a screen all around the bottom edge of the shed to provide ventilation and keep the animals out. Finally they moved the items to be stored from our garage to the new shed, opening up more space in the garage for the remodeling of the 1st and 2nd floors of our house. Muchas gracias to Jose, Carmina, Orlando, and Wilmer! Bon trabajo! Finally after a long wait due to the Pandemic we remodeled the 1st and 2nd floors of our house with Javier once again in charge. The workmen skillfully disassembled and/or moved furniture, file cabinets, supplies, and 100s of books and other items to different locations in the house and garage. Then they installed new lighting: 53 recessed lights, 9 dimmers, and a new electrical outlet near the vanity. When a bookcase was added on the right side of my new digital organ they moved the organ to the left along with 2 recessed lights shining above the organ to more effectively illuminate the music rack. And finally they installed a special circuit breaker for the organ. They installed cabling for 3 internet connections to the computer network giving access to the basement, living room, and 2nd floor. They installed the wiring for electrical power to 3 printers, one on each floor. Next they replaced our carpet with beautiful hardwood floors in 7 rooms, a small hallway, and a stairway. They removed 5 single doors on the 2nd floor and replaced them with solid core doors. They installed and painted 2 bi-folding doors for our utility closets. They painted the walls in 7 rooms, a small hallway, and a stairway first removing wallpaper in one room and 2 wall borders. They took special care in the den, repairing one wall and a big hole in the ceiling before painting. They did a great job of painting the ceilings, touching up 4 textured ceilings and smoothing out 3 others in a more elaborate process that included repairing drywall and removing texture, preparing the ceiling for painting, and then actually painting it. They installed and painted shoe molding in 7 rooms. And last but not least they repaired bathroom door frame and painted the nearby wall and a baseboard that had some paint splotches from a previous job. The DMV workmen did some additional jobs not related to repairing and painting walls and ceilings, or installing hardwood floors. The installed 5 smoke detectors, 7 curtain rods, a new Bosch dishwasher, and new blinds to replace blinds accidently damaged. They caulked a bathtub, cleaned grout in a shower and caulked the area near its door. In order to prevent heavy bookcases from toppling over they secured 10 bookcases to the wall. And in a final visit they even tightened screws in the kitchen cabinets installed by the previous DMV contractor. Muchas gracias to the 2 Maynors, Geovany, Jesus, David, Danillo, Diego and the flooring team, Grover, Luis, Orlando, and Fairo. Bon travajo! The quality of materials and workmanship on the outdoor shed and remodeling of bathroom, first and second floors was exceptional. Because we are an elderly couple we really appreciated the extra help in moving things around throughout the projects. The workmen were punctual, polite, honest, skilled, hardworking, and flexible in adjusting to changes from time to time. They always took care in sealing off work areas, covering floors, and cleaning up at the end of the day. The price seems reasonable because sometimes they did extra work not previously budgeted like extra painting or changes when were not satisfied or had new ideas. Javier is great at planning, communicating and executing the work, but could certainly benefit from having a right-hand man to assist him when he is not immediately available. We would highly recommend DMV and have already signed a contract for remodeling our basement that includes vinyl flooring, lighting, painting, and installation of storage shelves. Changed the price by approximately 15K at the very last minute when my wife and I went to sign the contract at their store. We were communicating prior to this, so we were very suprised by this significant bump in the price without prior notice! A very disappointing experience, after weeks back and forth!

Javier and his team were fantastic! We had our master bath and another full bath completely gutted and remodeled, and not only did Javier come up with the most innovative designs, but this company also came in at the lowest price! We had a different team for each bathroom, both were very polite, communicative, and very knowledgeable in not only remodeling, but electric and other work. They cleaned up every day and we were never left with any messes in our yard or in the house. Javier was also very communicative and would let us know how each stage of the project was going and, one of his best qualities, was extremely easy to work with. Both bathrooms are gorgeous and for the price exceeded my expectations! All of the beautiful hand-cut porcelain tile and cabinetry and fixtures were well within our price range, which was low to mid-range. I definitely would recommend this company to anyone!

DMV was on time and on budget. The team was respectful of our schedule and our money. Javi was great at communicating the project details to us, and he listened to our needs. Javi's team did things right and we never worried about them cutting corners, even though we had to be out of town during part of the project. DMV did a fantastic job, and we will definitely use them for our next project.

Excellent. The crew that did the work was very professional. They always came on time and cleaned up every day when they were done. Through out the process, Brittany would come by to make sure the the job was on track and quality of work was meeting our expectations.

DMV did a great job on our master and hallway bathroom remodel project. Javier and his crews couldn't have been more professional and courteous. The design Javier developed was exactly what we wanted. The crews did an excellent job with all aspects of our project. They made sure all floors leading to both bathrooms stayed covered , sealed off the mbr during demo with floor to ceiling plastic, and cleaned up at the end of each day. Javier visited numerous times throughout the project and was extremely quick to answer any questions. The pricing was reasonable and we were provided many material options to choose from. We would have no problems whatsoever in recommending DMV to anyone doing a bathroom remodel project.
