Frank called me promptly after I left a message. He called Miss Utility to mark the lines and came out to inspect the stump after they had been marked. There was an electric line that ran along the side of the stump, so he called them to come out again to do a depth check and mark everything with flags. Frank explained everything that he was going to do and gave me a quote at that time. He also advised me where I might need to move certain plants that I wanted to preserve. They came out when they said they would, and although they had to perform the work over two days due to thunderstorms, they left it well covered until it was completed. They took excellent care of my garden during the entire operation, and cleaned up afterward. And Frank honored his original quote even though the job turned out to be more complex than we had originally thought. I'm extremely pleased with the appearance of my yard, with the quality of the work that was performed, and with the customer-friendly service I received. I would certainly recommend Frank to anyone who needs a stump removed.

I originally contacted four places, got responses from three and then did the comparisons. After a phone call, Frank and his son showed up on a saturday early afternoon, Frank assessed the stumps and on the spot, gave a price and stated that they could immediately start the job. Frank was very courteous, professional, and knowledgeable. Unlike other contractors, tree stump removal is the the only job they do. I was impressed with Frank's explanations, experience and expertise. His price not only included the tree stump removal but also removal of the nearby root structures, removing roots deep and within a several foot diameter of the former stumps. This was very important to me as I plan to plant new trees and bushes in those spots. I accepted his price, they would not take payment until the job was completed and I deemed it satisfactory. They completed the work within a few hours. I was impressed with the care they took of the surrounding areas, they put up plywood and tarp shields around their "Kan Du" stump grinder machine, to effectively protect my nearby windows, fence and bushes/trees. They spent much time on my double maple tree stump, grinding deep and over a large perimeter to clear the area, then they cleaned up and placed the newly generated mulch back in the hole area. Their "Kan Du" stump grinder machine effectively maneuvered into areas between bushes or nearby the fence to remove the pine stumps and nearby roots. They did an excellent job. Without hesitation, I will recommend Frank to my friends and neighbors.

I called Frank in late winter and asked to be scheduled as soon as the soil dried. I called him in April and learned that he had been ill. As soon as his Dr permitted him to return to work he called me and set a date. He came as scheduled with his son. They did an excellent job, grinding stumps and removing the wood chips. I can't wait to be able to plant new plant materials!

It went well. He was efficient, came out, got it done, packed up and was out. That is about it.

Frank was very responsive and professional. He coordinated with utilities to mark lines before scheduling job. His stump grinder was able to make it through fence gate and do the job. He even rescheduled my job from a Friday to a Sunday so I could be home with my dog while he was working in yard.

Clear communication of the process; scheduled at an appropriate time; had the area surveyed for utilities in advance; came ready to do the work. Frank, the owner, is only in this business and goes about his work in a deliberate and disciplined way. For example, the stump was near a sidewalk so he made sure that the area was protected and that no one who might have been passing by would run the risk of being injured as a result of his work. He cleaned up before he left. The man knows his work and does it with an air of confidence not compromised by arrogance.

In February of 2014 I had had a huge pine tree cut up and hauled away but given that melting snow was softening the ground the tree service said that their stump grinder would tear up the lawn and said to give them a call in the summer. I had used Frank of A Stump Removal Company Only on three previous occasions and on the basis of his past performance I knew he was the person to call. Frank said his Saturday morning was filled but would be able to get to my residence at one o'clock. At one o'clock Frank's truck was at my curb. He took some measurements of the stump with the huge rootball and then did some probing and gave me his estimate which was considerably less than what I expected. Frank is not just a workman with a stump grinding machine. With his experience he has a good idea of what lies beneath the stump and the scope of the root system. I appreciated the fact that Frank put up shields by my nandina shrub and my pachysandra bed to prevent any damage. It was amazing to watch Frank's machine grind down the stump with rootball in a short period of time. Frank then groomed the work site and I was one satisfied customer.

Frank and his son came out. They looked at the job and gave a reasonable estimate. They had to drill through a concrete layer apparently that had been covered by plants, then they had to carefully clear the stump for near and around the gas lines. They did a fantastic job and had a great work ethic. If I ever need a stump removed again, I am calling them back.

Frank was great to work with. He followed up when he said he would - scheduled MISS Utility to come out and mark our gas line and was at the house two days later. We did everything over the phone - he showed up at the job, assessed the situation, gave me a price and then got to work. My job took no more than 2 hours. Very happy to have found him and would definitely use again without question. Honest businessman, fair pricing, great follow-up, and great work - can't really ask for much more than that!

Removed bust and tree stump, ground down roots and filtered soil to remove wood and root debris. Hauled away debris.awesome work. Frank called in the morning and removed the stump that afternoon. He was able to maneuver the equipment so as not to damage the rock retaining wall. He even was going to call Miss Utility to not damage the lines but I already had everything marked from another job

I searched at length for a tree service company on Angies List and chose Frank based on his excellent reviews for service and price. A number of reviewers mentioned that they'd called him in to *fix* bad/incomplete work, which said a lot to me. I definitely was not disappointed. Frank is very attentive--returns calls promptly and personally. You deal with him. And he stays on top of the utilities tickets to be sure it's safe to dig. I really liked dealing with the owner of the company personally. He obviously cares about doing a great job. He provides an estimate on-site, so that's a bit of an unknown till he shows up, but the price seemed fair to me. He was on site for 5+ hours, removed a stump that was about 2 feet deep and that extended several feet in several directions, hauled away all the debris, and even SIFTED, literally, the good, fine dirt and filled it in, so we weren't left with a giant hole. I'm relieved to have this thing gone. (It had been infested with termites.) And would definitely recommend Frank to neighbors.

Frank was extremely professional and courteous. He arrived to give a quote and came back the next day to finish the work. He was able to get his equipment into out back yard through the fence gate. He protected the work area and did not do any damage to our property while getting his equipment in or while completing the work. His prices were extremely reasonable. An all around nice guy to do work with.

Frank and his son John are the way to go if you need a tree stump removed. They know what they are doing, and take precautions to make sure everything goes right. Ahead of time, they contacted Miss Utility to have my utilities marked. They showed up on time with all the equipment needed to do the job. They took all the necessary precautions to make sure my property was protected against damage from flying debris, and as a result there was no damage to my property. They worked efficiently and were able to finish the job quickly. They were also very pleasant to work with. Thanks!

He did a great job. He was able to quickly assess the potential difficulties and was able to remove the whole stump, which another tree removal company had failed to remove, in a single trip. He did so without damaging a nearby fence.

I contacted A STUMP REMOVAL ONLY CO (Frank) last year (around May/June) for an estimate and within a few days he made a site visit and provided an estimate of $1,400 (time estimate of three <3> days). Due to other pressing home improvement project and family demands I postponed the stump removal. Frank diligently checked in with me on a monthly basis. Then finally in June, I set a date with him. On Monday, July 21st coordinated to have Miss Utility meet him at the house to conduct a thorough marking of utilities. On Tuesday, July 22nd, Frank and his son arrived our house and my husband wanted to know ?where the rest of the guys where?? He was skeptical that just two men could do the job. Frank assured him that as long as the two men were him and his son; it would be enough. This first day was grinding of the main stump and removal of the stump mulch. We requested that the fence in the area of the stump be removed to ensure that as much of the 6 foot root system (yes, a 6 foot stump PLUS a 6 foot radius root system!!!) was grinded/removed as possible. This was of the upmost importance as we scheduled to replace the entire fence in September/October and did not want to fence around the stump. To aide with the work effort we allow Frank to leave his equipment near the work area in the yard. On the second day of work, Frank and his son began removing the expansive root system. With our permission the duo worked silently until 9pm removing additional stump and root mulch. The next morning I awoke to a stump free yard?a full day ahead of schedule!!! A truly honest and dedicated businessman; worth EVERY PENNY!!!

This was a very good experience. I had tried on my own to get rid of an unsightly stump in my front yard. Called 4 companies for an estimate. This was the only company that responded! Frank, the owner, was courteous, professional, and a wealth of information. He made sure to contact Miss Utility first to see what lines may be lurking beneath the surface before an estimate could be provided. His estimate was better than I had expected from my research into other companies or renting the equipment myself. The work was performed in an afternoon and he made sure I could keep in contact with him while I was at work. I came home to a cleared spot on the lawn and a manageable pile of grindings which were easily taken care of. Great service, very easy to work with and I learned a lot from him! Highly recommended!

Wow. Excellent. Of the several people we called, Sam was the only one who marked the utilities and inspected the work area for safety first. He arrived on time. His work was excellent. His prices were reasonable. He was knowledgeable and quick. He did a big job fast. He went far beyond what was expected. We are very pleased. As we continue to clear our yard, we will call him again.

Frank and his son came out and removed several stumps around my property. His price was very reasonable and he was happy to handle this smaller job that the larger companies weren't interested in.

I had called several companies about what I needed (stump removal) and only 3 called back. One was Frank. He was very pleasant. On our first telephone conversation Frank was very detailed about the services that he provides, what was needed in preparation for the removal of the stump (Miss Utility had to be called to establish if any lines were nearby), and answered all of my questions.. When he came out, he worked quickly and did an excellent job. It was barely noticeable that a tree stump had been there. I would highly recommend this company.

They came out promptly, when they said they would. The next day he cleared his schedule because we needed the work done to get the driveway paved. He knows what he is doing. I would use this service provider in the future.

We called and left a message for Frank and he responded the same day. After speaking thoroughly with him about the job he set a day to perform the work. After some rain delays Frank and his son arrived Saturday afternoon and set to work removing three large stumps in our back yard. He was very professional and kept in constant contact with us during the entire process.

He returned my initial phone call within 24 hours, and we discussed where the stumps were and access to them. He mentioned that he would come out and scope out the work and do the job the same day if we agreed on the price. The stumps were in a relatively difficult place to access, so we discussed it on the phone and set a date. He wanted to be clear what equipment to bring. He told me he would call the night before and asked what hours and best number to reach me. He called as promised the night before and told me he would likely come around noon but would let me know if he was delayed. He called around noon to let me know he was running late and would not arrive until 3. He arrived right about 3, scoped out the situation, backed his truck up, rolled the machine out, protected all the neighboring plants and trees by tying them back or placing a piece of plywood in front of them, ground the stumps to well below the ground level, raked the good soil into the holes, raked the mulched tree chips over the soil, cleaned up the mess and job completed, right then and there. Very efficient -- no muss. no fuss. Would use him again in a heartbeat!

Mr. Frank DeBaldo responded immediately to my telephone call and was very pleasant. He immediately took necessary information and explained the need to involve Ms. Utility. He also tracked the Ms. Utility activity and then called again to schedule a date to come out. I was actually 30 minutes late arriving home to meet him but he stayed within my neighborhood and awaited my return. After assessing the work needed to be done, he then quoted me a price and began removing the requested stumps. Perhaps the thing I admired most about this gentleman is the following: After beginning work on one of the larger stumps, which was really an afterthought on my part, he realized that he had underestimated its size. It was not until after he had finished his work that I realized I had mis-communicated to him the entry to my backyard (meaning it had two steps) and he was not able to move his machine to assist him (working alone that day, based on my description of work to be done) and did all the work manually. I even wanted to increase the price I was paying for the work, but he insisted that once he gave me a price, that was his word.. As a senior and all the work I am contracting to have done on my home, I only wish I could find more dedicated businesses who don?t try to take advantage of those they are serving. I would highly recommend Mr. DeBaldo at My Stump.

He has great follow up. He calls me to let me know that he'll be coming out as soon as the weather breaks -- he even called me on a Sunday! I feel like I know him!
