I’m very satisfied with Frank and his son’s work. Frank returned my initial call the same day, explaining the process. Once he received information on utility lines location (his request at Missutility.net), they arrived with the equipment on time, reviewed the site, asked questions about what level of grinding was needed, what is my future planting ideas, and gave me a price, which seemed too high at first (got two other quotes much lower but no questions about utility lines, my future plans, etc.). I was very pleased with the work: a large stump with its large lateral roots were completely removed preparing the ground for planting. Very reliable, professional, clean and easy to deal with. You get what you pay for! It is a very specialized business that is worth to be supported. Highly recommended!

They have the best stump grinding equipment I have ever seen. They dug 15 to 20 feet across and about 4 to 5 feet deep and everything was in small pieces. I got 8 or 9 bags of mulch out of it. They did a marvelous job for a reasonable price. One of the best companies I have come across and I would highly recommend them.

Another outstanding job performed by Frank and John. Showed up ON TIME! Worked continuously until the job was complete. Very professional, high quality work. Over the last two months they have ground nearly 45 stumps for me. Great job.

I was quite impressed with the work that was done. Frank and his son arrived with their equipment on time, reviewed all the stumps, asked questions about what level of grinding was needed (e.g., all roots removed, debris removed, etc.), and gave me a price, which seemed fair. They worked diligently and even ground an extra small stump for free. I only wanted the stumps ground to surface level and the debris to remain. I was very pleased with the work and would hire them again. Very reliable and professional. Be aware that, at least in my case, they arrive with their equipment when they make the estimate. If you agree, they begin work right away.

Frank returned my call very quickly, explained the process. He immediately called Miss Utility so he would be good to go when he came to provide a quote. He arrived when he said he would and did a professional job. Was done is about 2 hours and left 3 neat piles of debris where the stumps were.

Frank was 'on top of it' from the time I first called to cleaning up after the stump was removed. Price was fair. Returned my call(s) when I requested. Gave next day service. Arrived when he said he would. Left the yard looking great when it was all done. Couldn't ask for more. Frank and his son do one thing - remove stumps - and they did a great job for us.

A sixty-year old pine tree was removed from the front of my house but the contractor said he could only remove the stump (grinding it out) by having a crane come and to lift his grinder up and onto our front lawn. Further, he stated the cost would be prohibitive. Subsequently, I showed the stump to Frank and John DeBaldo of A Stump Removal Only Co. after they had completed a previous job here. They replied that they had the proper equipment to remove the stump, which would not require the use of a crane. I had no qualms giving them the go-ahead as they previously had done an excellent job for me. They were able to come the following afternoon to completely remove the stump (no crane was needed) at a very reasonable cost. In addition they left the work site exceptionally clean considering all the saw dust that was generated. I could not have asked for a better job.

Another tree service that removed fourteen cedar trees from a steep slope in our backyard left the stumps with varying degrees of height, which was quite unsightly. I called Frank DeBaldo, owner of A Stump Removal Only Co, to discuss the scope of work. Frank asked me to send a number of pictures of the stump and their location to allow him to assess the work site situation. Frank called back within a day after receiving the pictures and said he and his son John could do the work. They were able to come the next day and dealt with the stumps so that they were no longer an eyesore. I thought their price was very fair and they removed all the debris leaving the slope much better looking. I certainly would recommend this company and would use them again.

I phoned A STUMP REMOVAL ONLY CO in early March. Frank DeBaldo said that he would be able to remove my stump on a weekend around the beginning of April, and that he would get back to me. He phoned on Saturday, March 30, saying he could do it the next day. He and his son showed up Sunday, before noon, as promised. The stump was a 4.5 feet tall double-trunk oak stump, interruping a chain link fence. There were metal fence posts on both sides of the stump, with a segment of chain link fence connecting them and hugging the tree on one side. Frank DeBaldo was able to unhook the fence segment from one post, leaving the other end attached while they worked. They cut the stump down shorter with a chainsaw so that the stump machine would be able to handle the rest. Overall, it took them 4 hours to cut and grind down the stump. They also cut up the trunk segments into slices and hauled them to the front yard, where passers-by could pick them up. When they were done, I was able to throw dirt in the hole, re-attach the fence segment, and cover the area with pavers to make the fence secure enough that I could let my dogs loose in the yard again.

We had four stumps that need to be removed. Located A Stump Removal Only Company on Angie’s List and after one phone call, the owner (Frank) made me feel very comfortable with the company’s experience and professionalism. Frank ensured that all underground cables were marked and provided a very fair estimate. Not only would I use them again, but also recommended them to my neighbor who used them to remove a large stump.

Frank was very friendly and did a great job removing a large decaying stump (and the numerous roots) and a smaller one on our side yard. He was very careful to make sure the rocks that were surrounding the larger stump and the grinding didn't hit our house or cars.

Frank, the owner, contacted me right away after I put the request for stump removal. He asked detailed questions about the size of the tree stump, location, and access to it. I also asked for removal of stump/roots below ground surface for future tree replacement planting. The work was done few weeks after due to constant rain conditions. A Stump Removal Only a family owned business, and Frank and his son arrived when scheduled, stump was removed and a planting hole created below ground level as requested. Although the yard is small so the working area and maneuvering spaces are tight, they came with the right equipment and did proper planning; the work went very well with minimal disruption, all debris cleared and surrounding area cleaned.

We tried for months to find a company willing to grind the stump of a large elm tree in our front yard. It's a small yard, elevated and fenced, and laced with utility lines; the stump sat directly over a gas line. Multiple companies refused to do the work. Finally we found Frank, and he fully deserves his reputation for removing stumps others won't touch. He had a smaller grinder that fit through the front gate of our yard, and he was willing to determine the depth of the utility lines and to grind the stump to a safe depth. The work was done well and the price was fair. Highly recommended.

The service was outstanding. He was responsive when I called and effective when on the job site. He was able to removal some large (I believe on to be 110 inches across) stumps from around my barn foundation. These guys are the best and I will be using them in the future for sure.

Went very well! In particular, I was impressed the way Frank DeBaldo and his son protected the area where they were doing the work so that flying stump debris would not go everywhere. Also -- they cleaned up really well afterwards so that the sidewalk, driveway, and lawn area bordering the working area were clean and all the debris was contained within the working area. (I will be completing the cleanup of the area so that I can plant.) Frank was very responsive to my calls (he can only be contacted by phone), easy to work with, and he was flexible with my schedule so that I could be present when the work was being done. He also explained to me everything that would happen beforehand, and before the work was done we talked about exactly how deep they would grind the stump and in exactly what area. I have not yet sorted through all the debris, although I feel confident that they cleared the stump to my specifications and that I will be able to create the garden as I want. I would definitely hire Frank again!

Frank answered the phone when I called. He clearly understood and came the following day to confirm and fix the problem. He and his son used a special grinder to remove the remaining roots and carefully work around a recently planted tree. He did an excellent job and I highly recommend him.

It went well. Frank kept me informed as they went. They couldn't use mechanical stump removal because of the utilities nearby so they had to dig out four stumps by hand. This took about 3 hrs. They cleaned up very well.
