Frank did a beautiful job and it is very unusual to see such a professionalism at this level. Furthermore, it is really nice to see how he works and how he is paying attention to details. I would highly recommend him !

We bought our house about a year ago and there was a huge rotting stump in the backyard. It went on the bottom of the priority list until we realized that alley rats were using it as a home! It rocketed to the TOP of the priority list and that's where Frank came in. I explained the problem to him over the phone and he told me he had plenty of experience with "rat stumps." Frank explained to me the removal process, and he removed the offending stump for a fair price. Highly recommend Frank for anyone else with an embarassing "rat stump" problem!

Extraordinarily well. Communication was clear from the first call. I worried that it was a 'small job' that would 'cost big'. Instead, I got sound advice on how to prepare the area to keep costs down. I appreciated the encouragement to call "Miss Utility" first to eliminate any issues in advance of the work. We determined that the stump removal machinery would be able to get to the back yard without the extra cost of a crane. On the day of the job, the work was very thorough, and the site was cleaned nicely. Overall, the price was very fair, and the professionalism exemplary.

Frank was very knowledgeable about stumps and was able to go over everything with me in great detail. He was able to get to me very quickly to do the job and left everything looking amazing I would defieintly recommend frank to anyone that needs any kind of stump work done.

They did excellent work and did everything they said they would do when giving me the estimate. The stump is gone and they hauled everything and cleaned up after the job. We were very pleased with the service provided for removing the tree stump and roots from a former tree in our front yard. Frank was a pleasure to speak with on the phone and was very knowledgeable when discussing what our needs were. Prior to the job, Frank made sure the Miss Utility was called to mark our yard with the appropriate lines showing where electrical and cable lines run. We setup a date/time and Frank showed up right on time, gave a great price quote, and completed the work on the spot. He took great care to make sure that the work was done in a safe manner to avoid damage to our home and cars parked in front by putting up shielding around the work area. At the end of the job, he showed us pictures of the work as it had been completed to show us the root depth and extent of how far they went to remove everything. With so many larger companies refusing to take "small" jobs, we can't recommend Frank enough. He truly cares about taking care of the customer regardless of the job size (big or small!).

Frank and his son did a great job removing a maple stump that we had in our back yard. Before coming out to the site, Frank contacted the utility folks and had them mark the area where the stump was for any utility lines that might be there. I did not think that was necessary, as the stump seemed to be in an area where I wouldn’t expect utility lines to be, but the utility survey showed that there were power and cable TV lines right adjacent to the stump. Despite the fact that they had to come all the way out to Virginia to do the job, Frank was very conscientious in scheduling the work, and they arrived on time. When Frank and his son got to the site, they carefully dug holes to find out how deep the cables were and they adjusted the depth to which they worked along one edge of the site accordingly. They were very careful and thorough in completely grinding and removing the stump and the price was very reasonable. Their experience and professionalism paid off -- we got rid of the stump and there was no damage to any utility lines. I highly recommend Frank and his son for any stump removal job.

I had previous experience with other stump removal companies but they never ground the stump deep enough, and usually left a pile of dirt and wood chips that took many hours of my time to clean up. I had a large maple tree strump to be removed and Frank and his son did a great job grinding down very deep and even cutting out the major surface roots spreading out many feet beyond the stump. The cleanup was top notch and left a smooth mound of dirt that was ready to plant grass seed. I liked the job they did so well I had them remove an even larger stump about a month later. They did such a good job removing the stump that I can plant a new tree the exact same spot right now.

Wonderful. Efficient, friendly and excellent work for the price. I would hire him again. I was equally impressed that he would come to Virginia do to a relatively small job. I highly recommend.

Very well. The contractor thoroughly explained the job beforehand. He also contacted Miss Utility to check for gas lines before performing the work. He and his son ground the stump, sifted the soil from the waste wood, hauled away the wood and replaced the soil in the hole that they created. They left only a small indentation at the stump site. Later I adding a small amount of top soil to bring the indentation flush with the ground, then planted grass seed.

Frank called Miss Utility before he even would come by to have the necessary marking done. He and his son then came by and told me what they thought would need to be done. Hand dug around the stump to make sure Miss Utility had done the marking correctly. They put up protective material to prevent any damage to my windows and sliding glass door. They brought their articulated grinder in and proceeded to grind the the stump safely and perfectly. And then they sifted the dirt and stump grinding from the big pieces and trash and leveled the surface. They even used a leaf blower to make sure they space was clean when they left (actually a bit cleaner then when they got there). And the price was very reasonable. Now they were a bit more than another company quoted but given the way the other company talked about the job and what needed to be done, it it obvious that Frank and his son know far more about grinding stumps, did a far far superior job, and would have been worth twice what I paid him. In a word, there is NO OTHER company I would ever trust to remove a stump in the future.

What a fantastic job Frank and his son did today! The service was spot on and extremely professional. The stumps were removed quickly with no mess and no lawn damage from the machine. The price was awesome and about 1/3 the cost of a quote from a local landscaping company. I like the fact of using small family owned companies that do quality work. I will keep Frank's card for next time.

Could not have asked for better responsiveness and flexibility around my schedule. Frank and his son worked very hard and did a great job working around a complicated utility area without disturbing any of the services....whew! One tree stump alone took all day to grind through, they kept at it until it was gone. Very impressed with their work ethic!

Working with this vendor went very well. My call was returned within 24 hours and their process was explained. After Miss Utility came out to make sure everything was safe, they came out on a Sunday afternoon (convenient!), gave me the estimate, and completed a the workin less than 2 hours. I'm very close to this business as my father was an arborist and owned a tree service for many years. I had a price in mind and A Stump Removal came in lower... go figure. :) Definitely recommend their services.

Very well. The price was high for the length of time he took, but it was a two person job and the results were excellent. So, top dollar for top performance.

I could not have been happier. First, their grinder was small enough to fit through a standard width chain link gate to access the back yard. Several other service providers could not assure that their equipment could. Then, they placed temporary "walls" around the job to protect my shed and help contain the debris from flying everywhere, making cleanup easier. The response time to start the job and the time to complete the job were excellent.

This company provides top-notch service. Frank, knows what he is doing and does an excellent job from the time you call him until the job is complete. I have used he twice and I have to please with all of his work; I do plan to use him again for additional stomp removal services in the future.
