The work was excellent. The workers were very professional. They were very prompt and showed up when they said they would. They left the house very clean.

Still recovering so this will be briefer than deserved. PJ came prepared with a folder holding his credentials and licensing information. The crew was fantastic, selecting of materials and recommendations exceptional. Willingness and ability to contract and coordinate with other contractors to perform steps in timely manner exceptional. Ability to provide recommendations to owner for additional contracting also extremely helpful. Prompt and organized with an extremely short duration from initial contact through completion of job. Ability to work with customer suspicious of contractors ... A+. Ability to work with a customer used to performing the work themselves with little tolerance for imperfection ... A+. Cleanup exceptional. NOTE: They make it clear while they are working the grounds can have nails that are not visible and highly recommend keeping pets and family off lawn until they have completed final clean up ... until you see them drag the magnet along the ground, you have no idea how invisible the few nails that dodged the tarps are. Pointing this out to the owner early prevented any incidents that otherwise visually appeared lower in risk. Now to find a window repair, cabinet refinisher, electrician, and flooring contractor than can come even as close to being as prepared/organized/quality tradesperson. ,

It has done well so far and we've had some rain but no problems yet. They were here when they said they were going to be. They were professional. We were very pleased, they are a nice bunch of guys and they worked very hard.

Roof is scheduled to be installed August 20. Each time I called with a question or concern, they were extremely helpful and professional. They have brought out several different shingle colors for me to choose from and have helped in my decision making. It was suggested to me by another company that I purchase an additional product to keep my roof from discoloring and when I mentioned it to PJ's, they told me the shingles now had this product in them and it would be an unnecessary expense on my part.

PJ had a really complicated job at my place, and he handled it really well. I installed solar panels (w/ another company), which could only be installed on a standard asphalt shingle. But my HOA wouldn't permit that to show. So PJ's men removed the old cedar shake, coordinated with the solar company and placed asphalt shingles where the panels would go, and then came back to install DaVinci composite shingles around the solar panels. In addition, they placed a Solatube sun tunnel, which was quite complicated. On another note, the solar guys created a roof leak, which I only discovered on a rainy day. I called PJ to come fix it. His guys made a 30 minute trip in 20 mins and were on the roof -- in the rain -- repairing the leak created by another company. I was not charged for this emergency repair. Overall, an A+ review, and I would certainly hire PJ again.

The estimator that came to my house was absolutely the most thorough, friendly, and knowledgable person I've met when it comes to roofs. I was able to beat their price with another contractor though, so I went with a different company. I almost wish I wouldn't have, because I ended up with a bit of hassle. You get what you pay for I suppose, and I can tell in hindsight that PJ's Roofing is worth the extra money.

They came in the morning and worked all day.They didn't need anything from me (I work at home) and finished by end of day. Good, professional work!

They came to do the work and completed it in one day as promised. The next day we had a very heavy rain and the chimney did not leak at all. It appears they have solved he problem. They did excellent work and had to remove and replace aluminum siding on the house and you would not know it had been replaced if not for the new pieces added over the chimney to prevent leaking. They did an excellent job.

I needed to replace my roof and because of the high winds in my area I did not want standard asphalt shingles. I decided on Gerard metal shingles that have a lifetime warranty and rated for up to 140 MPH winds. Gerard recommended two local contractors that had experience in installing this type of roof. Of the two, PJ's price was much more reasonable and he was easier to work with. Along with replacing the roof he replaced 6 skylights. The job was done on time and looked great. During the install one of the workers accidently dropped a tool through one of the skylights and chipped a bathroom countertop. It was a small chip I could live with, but PJ reduced the cost of the job a few hundred dollars. I rated quality a B because there were leaks immediately over the garage. It took them a few weeks to figure out why it was leaking and eventually fixed it. At this point I don't know 100% if it actually was install related or an issue with the type of roof. If I had to do it over again I would definitely not install a Gerard Metal roof again. I am glad I hired PJ because he stands by his work 100% and goes out of his way to keep the customer happy.

Following Hurricane Sandy, an insurance adjuster inspected my roof along with reviewing other storm damage. In addition to damage shingles, he noted the vent boots were starting to show signs of dry rot and recommended replacing them as routine maintenance. After checking Angie's List, I called PJ's Roofing. They were able to quote a price over the phone and did the work a few days later as promised.

As far as I can tell so far they did an excellent job. They were easy to deal with and did the job given to them in one day. Compared to other estimates gotten from companies on Angie's List, their price was great.

The experience was great. PJs was recommended to us by a solar installer biding for our job (not the one we ended up using). The estimate was among the lowest we got for the job and his estimate process was thorough and no nonsense or pressure. As a woman who does all the research and management of such projects for our family I appreciated that PJ always dealt with me directly and respectfully without questioning my knowledge or ability to make decisions like several of the other roofers that we had give estimates. After checking references we hired PJ and within 12 hours letting him know that he was hired and who our solar provider was he had already talked to the solar installer. Together they arranged timing and figured out how to work simultaneously on the roof. He also brought by shingles to see colors and gave advice about what might work best for us and what was probably not worth the money. The day of the start of the project PJ and his team arrived at 7am with about 20 guys. Everything went very smoothly. We literally had PJs guys tearing off old shingles, fixing underlayment, and then the solar guys installing footers before the roofers returned to tar paper and shingle. The solar installer put in a solar hot water unit and then PJs guys did the flashing around it. Despite never working together with this solar installer, everyone worked together well and seemed happy with the partnership and work quality at the end of the day. At the end of the first day all of the shingles were done and only a little bit of ridge vent remained to be finished. The rest of the work proceeded at a more normal rate the rest of the week, and the workers were still polite, helpful and always willing to answer my questions. When the gutters were installed they did not have all the right size downspout for the job (only one was a different size than normal), so a temporary one was installed. We were very impressed when PJs guys came out in the rain the first day of Hurricane Sandy to put on the right size downspout before the first rain arrived. PJ also sent someone out to magnet sweep our yard and double check the work and clean up a couple of days after the last work was finished. That level of service is commendable. We highly recommend PJs Roofing to anyone looking for a roofer.
