Went to the store on 9/29/2013 and waited to speak with sales rep working with customers. Was greeted and told I would be next. I understood and looked around at samples. brands, etc. After, he was then able to ask me about my project. I told him I had used them for flooring in the past for Alloc Laminate floors in our kitchen that have held up fantastic over the past 10+yrs. I wanted to see what brands and current pricing available. I took in measurements for 4 rooms and entryway of approx. 800 sq ft. He was unable to find past purchase in system (too long ago) and updated my info, and made copy of my floor plan/numbers. I mentioned that I also signed up for an estimate through Costco and was told that Petersen's are now approved providers for the Frederick area Costo, We discussed some options and then another customer came in and we agreed that I would need to talk with someone to arrange a time/appointment for a free in home measurement and discuss the project further. I was told that Gayle Petersen would follow up with me to make an apt. and to discuss sales and promotions available. That was over 10 days ago. I called today to inform them that I was disappointed that I had not heard back from them after being in their store for 45 minutes and I selected another company and have a start date. I was asked to hold so I could speak with Gayle. She interrupted me several times when all I was trying to do was tell her I understand that notes get misplaced and mistakes happen, but they lost out on a sale. I felt like I was doing them a favor by calling to inform them before I left a comment on Angie's List. She was rude and made me feel like the bad guy!?!

My wife and I were looking to replace the very old floor (actually 2 layers of flooring) in our kitchen with either a laminate or tile. Based on other Angie?s List recommendations and friend?s reviews, we decided to go with Petersen?s Carpet and Flooring. After doing further research on flooring we decided on installing Congoleum?s Dura Ceramic floor as it was given the best marks on Consumer Reports. Petersen?s obtained all the materials in a very short amount of time and installed the floor on Saturday July 27, 2013 and did an excellent job! The installers arrived as promised at 8 am and stayed till about 7 pm to get the job done. Their work was clean, tidy with only a few random glue spots here and there (more than likely due to a roaming cat who wanted to help them). The Installers were very meticulous and did an outstanding job- all edges were even, all cut tiles were clean, and the grout work was perfectly executed. Paul Patten, our sales person, even stopped by early in the morning to ensure all was going smoothly ? a gesture that we greatly appreciated. As a result we highly recommend Petersen?s to anyone thinking of redoing their kitchen flooring.

The carpet was laid by 3 Spanish men; a middle-aged one and two young ones who appeared to be trainees. The older gentleman knew what he was doing; it seemed that one of the younger ones made a mistake laying the carpet on the stairs; the older man became very agitated with him, but it appears that he corrected the problem. They were very respectful and nice.

The whole process went very well. Petersens was very responsive. Installation team showed up on time and was very professional.

Petersens moved the furniture in my living room and dining room. They swept the floor after taking up the old carpet, they prepped the floor before putting down a black moisture proof pad, then they put down the Bruce floor. It matched exactly my floor in the Hallway. Excellent job from start to finish.

Unfortunately, we never received an estimate from the representative.

I used Petersen's Carpet and Flooring several times and have been very pleased. The first time I purchased an Oriental area rug for my family room. I had a specific color and shade in mind and they were the only carpet store in Frederick, MD that had just what I needed. It looks beautiful. I went back to Petersen's when we decided to enclose our back porch and put carpet on the floor. They were out to measure; I found the type and color of carpet that I wanted and they did a great installation job. I have no complaints at all and would you them again for my next carpet needs.

Peteresen's was the only company around that had the bamboo floors I wanted. They were very friendly and responsive, and most importantly, they did a fantastic job. I will definitely use them again.

Our experience with Petersen's was very positive.

On time and very professional and neat in manner and work. Removed rolled old carpet and took to truck. Measures and laid out foaming to be installed, marked where necessary to make cuts. Floor and furniture were done and cleaned and back in room 3-3 1/2 later. I've been dealing with Petersen's for years and have never been disappointed. A very professional and knowledgable company.

Great experience - Salesman was great, told us exactly what to expect, workers showed up on time and did kitchen first. Then a second group of workers came and installed the carpeting. They did an excellent job, and the carpet is beautiful! Very happy with this company and would recommend to anyone! We will use them again when we do our upstairs!

Wonderful company! Their pricing was in line with what I expected to pay and the service was wonderful. The salesperson came to my home to take measurements & bring carpet samples...it was all very "painless". The installers showed up on time & ready to do the job. They were quick, efficient and clean. I was very pleased with my experience dealing with Petersen's and would gladly do business with them again, as well as recommend them to anyone requiring flooring installation.

The old floor was taken up. Plywood was put down and the vinyl sheet installed on top. Looks great.

I thought in general they were good. They did originally show up with the wrong carpet which I realized when they arrived. I was a bit disappointed they didn't catch that themselves but they did reorder the carpet and deliver with professional and quality installation. The delay was a little bothersome and they had a bit of difficulty with the hardwood installation but they stuck with it and the completed project was good in the end. My three day "best guess" estimate was three weeks in the end.

THEY WERE PROFESSIONAL, TIMELY, AND DID A GREAT JOB. THE CARPET WAS NOT AS HIGH QUALITY AS I WOULD HAVE LIKED, AND I CAN FEEL SOME NAIL POPS OR OBJECTS UNDER THE INSTALLED CARPET.
