Petersen's Carpet & Flooring

It hasn't. A person named Dennie came out and did the measurements. He said he'd email the estimate in a few days. Note this was in October. By mid November we hadn't heard, so called and talked with Denny again. Once again he said he'd get it to us in two or three days. It is now mid-December and se still haven't heard from them. It's not a real big deal as we weren't planning having the work done until Jan or Feb. But still...twice now we've been told that the estimate is coming soon, yet still nothing. This doesn't fill me with positive expectations. At this point I don't know if we would use them for our project...

Great, couldn't have been happier! Timely, flexible, polite, responsive, at a very competitive price. We were prepared to pay up to $350 for Kilz treatment before installation of the new carpet, but they didn't use a lot, so they didn't charge us at all

Petersen's was able to do the job the next business day. The work was fine and it looked great. I had to pay $100 more.

It went very well. Both those at the office and the installers were responsive and professional. I would definitely recommend them and would hire them again.

After sending an e-mail to Petersen's Carpet & Flooring, I was promptly contacted by Gayle Petersen. She scheduled a time to visit the cabin to take measurements, and after that visit I stopped by the showroom to pick out different flooring options. She provided her expertise as I looked at different options but also gave me space to explore what was available. (She even insisted that I eat some blueberries from her lunch after noticing I was a little hungry!) I decided to use a combination of carpet, luxury vinyl, and solid hardwood in various areas of the cabin. Gayle even made a followup visit to the cabin to help me determine whether the lines in the vinyl I originally picked out would work with the bathroom, which had many weird angles. Ultimately we settled on a different pattern that better fit the geometry of the room. The three types of flooring were installed by three different teams of installers across four different days, and Petersen's Carpet & Flooring worked with me to find dates that fit in my schedule. Each installation team was prompt, courteous, and professional -- I have no complaints about the quality of their work or the finished product. They worked very hard. The final result looks great! Throughout the entire process, I kept in touch with Gayle, and she quickly answered any questions I e-mailed her. Carrie was also a great help, assisting with scheduling and keeping me up to date. The new flooring really freshened up the cabin; I'm glad I chose Petersen's Carpet & Flooring and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to others. It was a pleasure working with Gayle and the team -- they're good folks. I sure don't miss the pink carpet!

I stopped in on a Monday after work, someone came by after the store closed at 8pm to measure, and the carpet was installed the following Tuesday. Installation was quick and efficient. Very pleased with the whole experience and will definitely be going to Petersen's when we get our upstairs carpet replaced.

I donmt have enough compliments to pay the sales and installation team who did the work. The sales team was patient while I tried to figure out what I wanted to so and provided plenty of options and samples. The installation team did a fantastic job, were swift and thorough. Overall, I was very pleased with the experience and would without hesitation head back to Petersen's the next time I need a flooring solution. Thanks to Teresa in sales and Fernando and team who did the installation.

When we decided to work with Petersen's to renovate our Rec Room they said that the job wouldn't be finished until we said "we loved it" and they really stuck by that. ?The removal of the old carpet, hardwood and ceramic tile went very smoothly despite needing to remove only two rows of tile and preserve the other four (we were making the area smaller). ?Teresa Schuyler did a great job spec'ing the right pad for our basement rec room as well as helping us find a carpet that complimented an adjacent room (color wise) and met our needs from a quality and price perspective. ?The carpet was installed on-time however I was out of town at the time of installation and when I got back was able to verify that the shade of color was not consistent with the sample we chose from. ?In my experience, many providers at this point in the process would have told us that was a risk we took and that dye lots are not guaranteed, afterall, it was already installed. ?But Petersen's stepped completely up in the service of us as customers. ?Teresa (our rep) spoke to the manufacturer and facilitated a review of the installed carpet and negotiated on our behalf for a re-install. ?When the new carpet arrived at the warehouse Teresa, as well as Petersen's staff, inspected the carpet and determined it was not up to their quality standards. ?Teresa then sat down with us and really went the distance to find an alternate manufacturer that would meet our needs. ?A couple of short weeks later the old carpet was removed and the new one installed and WE LOVE IT. ?As a beautiful bow on top of the whole process Petersen's discounted our total project price as a gift and acknowledgement that although the end result was as promised the process was not what they make their reputation on. ?We have additional renovations coming up this year and next and we will absolutely return to Petersen's for all of our flooring needs.

We are so happy with the job Mark and Darren did. They were at our house for three weeks taking great pains to insure the tiles were installed with the precision rectified tile needs. After installing the hardy backer, they carefully measured for the placement of the medallion and worked out from there, making sure all of the tiles were cut evenly in a diamond pattern. I wondered why it was going to take so long, but I soon found out. The level of difficulty required a lot of patience and skill on their part. They had that and more, especially during times when the job posed challenges. The owners David and Gayle came out to make sure all was going smoothly. The laminate in the dining room was also installed beautifully and they matched the flooring from our kitchen so evenly. We love it. Very respectful and friendly team! We would welcome them back any day and we highly recommend Petersen's for their overall fairness and quality.

After renting out our home for 10+ years, we were in dire need of new flooring for the whole house before we could move back in. Since we were still out-of-state, we needed "full-service" - someone to handle EVERYTHING including toilets and appliance moving. Gayle and her crew were excellent at every stage. (They were super busy at the start and would take longer to hear back on estimates, but once you call and leave message, they do respond.) Anyways, once deposit was paid and work began, they worked super fast and everything turned out beautiful! One little issue I had in the master bathroom, Gayle immediately set out someone to take care of it. I especially love the elevations in the basement (so pretty and so easy to maintain and love the water proofing- was fantastic cleanup when we had a little water accident!) The hardwood floors came out fantastic in how they matched the old refinishing with the new wood! (Althought the men did splash some polyurethane/stain on a few of the walls... ) The carpets for the stairs and upstairs are so nice with your standard upgraded padding, the dogs sometimes prefer to lay on it instead of their dog bed! Thanks Gayle for giving us back our beautiful home!

Free on site quote was done immediately, and the installer showed up just a few days later. Everyone was friendly and professional, and the entire floor was done by the time i got home from work. Work is spectacular, and done at a price lower than I expected. Great experience overall, and I'll absolutely be calling them again in the future.

Mark came in for the estimate and was able to find scrapes of wood from his shop to save from having to buy a new box. installed it in less than one hour and they were on their way out. great job well done.

Two men showed up on time, swept the floor, removed stapled from sub-floor, secured loose sub-flooring quieting all the squeeks, They removed the closet door for access to carpet the inside of the closet. They installed the tacking strips, and brought in the carpet. They stretched and secured the carpet on the tacking strips. They vacuumed, cleaned up all excess. Left me the carpet remnant. Re-hung the closet door and adjusted it for the carpet height. Punctual, tidy and fast. Very organized two man team. Carpet ordered and delivered and installed in 3 days. Amazing!

Gayle was very responsive and went above and beyond to help us find the carpet we'd love in our new home. She took lots of time answering our questions, and had everything finished within a few weeks. We LOVE our new carpet and we would highly recommend Petersen's to anyone needing flooring! Thanks!

First of all, the day I purchased my home, Empire came out to give me a next day estimate. Their estimate was over $8,500!!! I left the room and called Petersen's (on a referral by my realtor, who just happened to be there when Empire was there). Upon hearing that I was having Petersen's come out, Empire suddenly dropped their price, but "the lowest they could go was $5,200". Gayle came out THAT evening to measure and give me an estimate. She discovered that Empire had measured wrong. Of course, their measurement was off NOT in my favor. I was able to choose from several samples that Petersen's had in stock and could install within two days!!! It wasn't exactly what I had picked out from Empire, but that's ok. Gayle even upgraded my padding. It's been two years and the carpet is doing great. Yes, I'd use them again.

We recently had excellent service from Petersen's Carpet and Flooring. In the first job, a runner was installed on the front steps by Rigo after he removed the old carpeting. Rigo did a beautiful job. In the 2nd job, Miguel Apolinar and Ronnie Yanez removed old carpet and put down wood in the hallway and in the study. Miguelprepped the floor by nailing down loose boards, and Ronnie put down felt paper. They both worked as a team placing the boards on the floor. Excellent job. In the third job, Miguel did a very professional job replacing damaged wood with new wood. Miguel used a fine tool cutting machine to cut like a surgeron and delicately remove old pieces. Ronnie came behind him cutting the wood to fill the open spaces Great job.. All three jobs were done on time and in a professional matter. Simply beautiful work.

They were able to remove pet urine stains. The floors came out incredible and look brand new. I was on the 1st floor while they did the work and they were careful to seal up the area from any dust or debris. I was able to book them almost overnight and started the work quickly.

We chose Petersen's over Lumber Liquidators because we felt more comfortable dealing with a business with strong local ties, just in case something with the project went wrong. We had an issue with our initial price being misquoted on the supplier side, raising the cost of the project 10%, but, it was dealt with professionally by management in a way that met our satisfaction. The main floor of our home had approximately 400 square feet of 2" Bruce hardwood, and 800 square feet of carpet that was all removed, replaced with Mohawk brand, 5" solid hickory planks. The project began early on a Monday morning, and was completed 3.5 days later. The scheduler, installation crew and management staff were all courteous and professional, leaving us a beautiful addition to our home.

The salesperson who was to do the estimate for the job couldn't make the time that had been scheduled and instead of calling to let me know and change the appointment time he instead showed up 30 minutes late grumbling about the scheduler. On the day of installation, the installers left without rehanging the door to the room they were working on because it no longer fit over the floor after they installed the new product. They claimed there was nothing on the work order about performing finishing work such as that but at the time of the estimate I specified that I wanted this type of finish work performed by the installation crew. The workmen promised to have the sales person contact me about the door as soon as they returned to the store: no one ever called. After painting the room we reinstalled the baseboard vents only to discover that the sheet vinyl had been cut in such a way as to be jagged and showing gaps around the vent. I complained to Petersons and they eventually responded (day after my check was cashed) but by then I had paid someone to fix both the door and the mis-cut vinyl.
