Description of Work: Added additional support brace for garage door openers to ensure stability. Performed maintenance check of openers, and lubricated door hardware as needed. | |I was given an arrival window between noon and 3pm. Alan (the company owner) arrived at almost exactly noon which was great so I didn't have to spend my whole afternoon waiting. He immediately went to work and completed the job with no delays.

Description of Work: Replaced both springs on one door, reconnected the cable and installed a top brace (metal) for my 8' door. He showed me how it was starting the crack and that 8' doors need the brace which he was surprised it didn't have.

Description of Work: Serviced 2 garage doors, added key pad system. Excellent service, actually recommended that I not replace part of the system that I thought would be necessary. Waited several months to rate East Coast Doors to be sure that all worked as predicted with less work done / less cost than I thought I needed. All has worked flawlessly. A small outfit, but the service provider really knew what he was doing. Very pleased with the service & results. Would recommend without hesitation.

Description of Work: My wife bumped into the garage door before it was all the way up with our SUV. Needless to say, it doesn't take much with a truck that big to do some serious damage. After playing with the door ourselves, we made it much worse. I called half a dozen other handymen, and none of them were willing to come out (it was 6:00PM). East Coast said they would, and they did. They were courteous and friendly. The did a fanstastic job and completed the work quickly. Probably above all, they were honest. I will use East Coast for ALL of my garage door work in the future.

+ -1 moreThis was the second or third time I have used East Coast Doors after they were recommended by a friend. Once again I found their service to be fast, cost effective and very honest. Having no knowledge about these things Bruce could have easily told me I needed a new garage door opener which would have cost me much more then I was charged. Instead, he was out the next day as promised, isolated the problem quickly (damaged wire and fixed it without any issues). I found Bruce to be honest and very customer friendly. I will definitely use them again and recommend to others.

+ -1 moreI had one of those moments. While parking the car the previous night, the garage door landed on my car and bent the top panel of the door. I called East Coast the following morning, and they assessed the situation over the phone and gave an estimate that was spot on. I was told that someone would come out between 1 and 4. Allen arrived at 3, fixed the door , including adding reinforcement to the top panel to fix issues with the first install. It was quick and painless. I would recommend them without hesitation to anyone.
Description of Work: Repaired a bent panel, reinforced the door, and performed general maintenance.

Description of Work: I recently purchased home with a detached garage complete with heavy wood doors and ineffective door springs. When I called around to several local garage door companies, I was given prices for parts but no real quote. East Coast Doors not only provided a full quote, they were the only company that ask me anything about my garage (door make, size, spring type, etc.). They came out 2 days after I requested an appointment and replaced the springs as discussed. In addition to the spring installation, they lubricated the system and checked all parts for safety. During this process they identified several damaged parts and noted the doors were missing safety lines. Prior to doing additional work, the technician presented with a thorough description of the work and exact prices for the parts. The technician had all the parts in his truck and was able to complete all the tasks the same day preventing the need for additional visits. I cannot say enough good things about this company; the customer service was great, the prices were great, the technician was great. I highly recommend you give them a call if you're looking for garage servicing. I know we'll be calling again when we're ready to upgrade to garage door openers.

My garage door spring broke on Sunday leaving my garage door completely useless...called E.Coast Door on Monday morning and was scheduled for between 12-4 that day. The tech arrived about 1pm and had the job done by 2pm. Very courteous, competent, and friendly. Thought the price was fair and was grateful for the quick service. Would highly recommend to anyone in Frederick County.

He had years of experience and is related to the owner, so there is a strong commitment to preserving the reputation of the company through quality service. I did no price comparisons as my garage door was broken and I needed it fixed! One thing to note: The spring broke on the 4th of July which is a holiday. I was told that they would have fixed it on the day it broke, but the fees would have been much higher. Fortunately, I had friends to help me get my car out, and I was able to wait until normal business hours to have the door repaired.
Description of Work: Spring broke on garage door. East Coast Doors installed new springs, reinforced the door, and lubricated the rails.
