He was punctual (so glad he started working at 8:00 a.m) and explained all aspects of my new opener including how to prevent the device from malfunctioning. Alan was excellent. Very professional and very skilled. He had given me a ballpark estimate when we talked on the phone, but once here we agreed to do additional work on the doors. Had that not been done, his estimate was right on target. Alan repaired 1 garage door and strengthened 2 others. He replaced the springs on 1 garage door, repaired the garage door opener eye on 1 door, lubricated the garage door tracks and adjusted all garage door openers. I was very pleased with the work done.

Allan Joy is the owner of the business was very professional, honest and pleasant to deal with. He examined the door and discussed with me and recommend all the necessary repairs. His wife who takes care of phone orders was equally nice and helpful. Allan showed up on time and picked up all broken parts and hauled away with him. I will definitely recommend them for family and friends. He even find me a replacement remote controlled opener that I needed.

His wife answers the phone and was very helpful. She asked a lot of clarifying questions to get detailed information, so her husband, the owner, can come prepared to fix the door. I went into the service thinking I would have to replace the garage door entirely, but I did not and it ended up being cheaper than I planned. East Coast Doors were on time, personable, and honest.

Alan came out right away to diagnose a broken door opener. He explained everything and gave me options for repair. I opted for a new opener and he did a great job with the new install. Everything is nice and neat. Would definitely recommend him and will use him in future if I need anything.

We chose an uninsulated steel door with windows and a non-WiFi enabled opener. Pricing was extremely competitive. Three weeks to install and received the appointment call exactly within promised time frame. Showed up on time and installation took approx 3 hours. They encountered a minor problem with garage outlet and they resolved it themselves. Reviewed operation including power out procedure and reprogramming exterior keypad if that should become necessary. Note: Opener does not come with lightbulbs (x2) so went out and got 2x 60W CFL equals and installed. They are happy to install if you have bulbs on hand. Extremely pleased with every detail of this purchase. Highly recommended.

The repare/replacement failed after about 2 weeks. A clamp came loose and the door failed to work. The owner came the next morning and corrected the problem and no charge. The office manager thought there would be a charge but the owner identified the clamp he had installed as the one that failed. There was no charge incured. The clamp failure was an install problem not the clamps failure, and this is the only reason for a good instead of excellent rating.

They arrived within the scheduled time frame and immediately started to work. They had all of the necessary supplies and were in and out within an hour. The whole time they were working they kept up a running commentary on what they were doing and what I should be aware of in the future. The final price was what I expected and in my opinion very reasonable. I'm hoping that I won't have to replace the springs any time soon, but if I do have to, I know who I'll call.

The garage door motor wouldn't open the door (the motor would run but the door wouldn't open). This unit was rather old, so it wasn't completely unexpected. I'd removed the cover on the motor unit and knew right away the gears were stripped. I called East Coast Doors (ECD) to schedule an appointment and they were able to come to the house in 3 days (we weren't in rush, wasn't emergent). East Coast Doors showed up at the appointed date and time and confirmed my suspicions. He could have ordered new gears but he indicated the unit was well beyond the expected life for this motor and indicated some the issues we would experience with this old unit (and yes, we were starting to have some of these problems). We both agreed to have the motor unit replaced. East Coast Doors had a new unit with them in their truck, so they didn't have to go anywhere to get the unit and they started replacement work immediately. The work was completed in about an hour. They cleaned up afterwards. ECD showed us how the unit worked. There was no up-sales involved. They serviced both garage doors and made sure they were okay. I'm very happy with the work and the new unit. Grant it, it was only done today, but the warranty should cover any problems or issues with the unit. The second garage door motor will be replaced by ECD in the next few months.

Worker was prompt. He first explained what he was going to do and then he did it. Worker finished job ahead of schedule. He cleaned up afterwards. He took the time to explain to both of us how the system operated and gave tips on how to maintain the systems. We were very pleased and would recommend this company.

Great. They were able to come out first thing the day after I called. The installer was very friendly and efficient, and even gave me some great restaurant suggestions since I am new to the area. I would definitely use them again.

I found East Coast Doors on Angie's List and called them because of their outstanding rating and reviews. They responded quickly to our inquiry phone call and came out to take a look. They were replaced the cable mechanism on our center garage door and provided us (at our request) on pricing information if we were to decide that we wanted to replace the whole door. We really appreciated that we could ask for, and get and quot;alland quot; of the information without a hard sell to go that direction. A couple of weeks later our garage door opener on a different door broke. East Coast Doors was there THE NEXT DAY and again gave us the pricing information to replace the whole opener vs. the pricing information to replace just the gear that had burnt out. While we opted, at this time, to do the more price conservative solution for both repairs when we get ready to replace all three garage doors (doors, tracks and openers) we will definitely be going with East Coast Doors.

On Friday evening my garage door spring broke. I was not aware that it was broken until Saturday night. I posted my saga on Facebook and someone recommended East Coast Doors. I went to Angie's list for a rating and was excited to see that they received high marks. I called them this morning and they came this afternoon at 1:30 PM to fix the door. Allen oiled the hinges and installed a new spring. The door operates quietly and effectively. I would recommend East Coast Doors to anyone who needs garage repairs or installation.

The spring for my garage door broke. Unfortunately both of my vehicles were inside at the time. The repair man was very knowledgeable and helpful. He recommended that I replace the single spring system with two springs. That way if in the future a spring broke with the help of the motor I should be able to open the door. He also noticed that the garage door opener in my garage was starting to fail. I replaced the opener with one with a battery backup and had the two spring system installed. Additionally, he showed me how to properly lubricate the rollers and what to use. He also reinforced my door so that it will last longer after noticing some cracking. I was very happy for the service I have received as well as the additional education on how to properly maintain what I have.

Late in the afternoon, the spring broke on my garage door, preventing it from being opened. I have used East Coast in the past and called them again. They said they would be out the next morning between 8:00 and 12:00, and actually arrived at 8:30. They replaced the broken spring with a higher quality dual spring system, which will allow the door to open if only one spring breaks. They tightened the springs, readjusted the electric garage door opener, and checked safety features. In addition, they resolved a long-standing electrical problem with the garage door opener. Prompt, quality service at a reasonable price!!
