Description of Work: Dixon Pool did a wonderful job closing our pool for the winter. We are new homeowners and had never been through the process before. They were patient and answered all of our questions. We will certainly work with them again for all our pool maintenance needs.

+ -1 moreThe original builder provided a very high estimate for replacing the pump and was unwilling to negotiate. I got Dixon's listing from Angie's List and called them. They provided an estimate several hundred dollars less than the original one and they were able to come out the next day. Dixon's techs arrived on time and explained everything they needed to do. They replaced the broken filter pump with a comparable unit and also diagnosed problems with the remote and the rubber o-ring seal on the in-line chlorinator. They cleaned up after themselves and were very polite and professional. Very happy with the service provided, and they gave me an Angiie's List discount!
Description of Work: The filter pump for my in-ground pool failed and needed to be replaced.

+ -1 moreI love this company! They are so personable. The Dixon father and son team really care about their customer and their pool. They want to make sure that everything is running correctly. I found them to be professionals and very knowlegeable about all the products and caring for the pool,. They taught me in terms I could understand. They were always on time and always did the job completely, In fact, they went above and beyond what was expected. I can call them anytime for questions. It's like having a doctor on call. I will continue to use them all the time for my pool and highly recommend them to everyone else.
Description of Work: Inspection of nearly empty pool with greenish blackish water in it. The water level was very low. About 5 inches. The mechanical things looked like they hadn't been used in a while. It needed a new pump. They did as thorough an inspection as they could without having a pump and then returned a 3-4 weeks later to install a new pump. Meanwhile they had been on the phone with me, giving instructions what to do to fill the pool gradually every other day. So when they came with the pump everything was ready to be fully tested and the pool was ready to be worked on and fully tested. Because the water was still very dirty, it was going to take a while to clean it. The Dixons taught me "Pool 101" as they call it. I learn how to back wash, test water and a bunch of other things about having and caring for a pool. They are going to stay with me the whole season, by phone and physically, coming by if I need them.

The previous owner's had not taken the opportunity to winterize the pool so the opening was a bit more difficult than expected, but Tom ensured the experience was not daunting. By the time Tom left our pool we felt confident in our abilities to maintain the pool and very much looking forward to a great pool season. I would not hesitate to perform any of Tom's recommendations.
Description of Work: Tom & Son were excellent. Tom took the time to explain to us what he was going to take care for us with regards to the opening of the pool, and made recommendations for what we needed to buy to maintain the pool for the remainder of the season. We received a thorough explanation of each piece of equipment and how to maintain them. We will most certainly continue to use Dixon Pool Service for our pool as well as highly recommend to anyone!

Description of Work: Opened my pool and has provided a weekly cleaning and servicing of the pool. Mr Dixon and his service technicians have been wonderful. My pool is clean and the water so clear and I didn't even know they were there . I purchased a polaris pool cleaner and they were so helpful in educating me on how the new equipment worked. I am very pleased with their service and will continue to use throughout the summer and the closing of my pool in September. I give them an A+ on their service.

Description of Work: When our Polaris stopped working I called the service company that had opened our pool but they were booked and I would have had to wait 2 weeks for them to come out. I had seen Dixon Pool Service in the neighborhood and called them. They came out the next day, found the problem and fixed it. I was unable to be home at the time which was no problem. They called to tell me what was wrong and left an invoice. I appreciated their quick response. .

+ -1 moreMr Dixon was professional and didn't try to sell me stuff I didn't need. He was knowledgable and I am planning on using his company again.
Description of Work: I set up an appointment with Mr Dixon to open my pool. As a first time pool owner, Mr Dixon spent about 20 minutes on the phone with me going through everything that would need to be done. On the day of services, they were about 30 minutes outside of their estimated window but that is understandable. Mr Dixon was very professional and is obviosuly very knowledgable about pools. He took the time to answer all my questions. He went above and beyond to help me diagnose an electrical problem I was having with the pool switch as well. I appreciated his extra time and dedication in working with me on something that was outside of his specialty.
