DIXON POOL SERVICE

I've been using Dixon Pool Service since 2005. They perform weekly service, maintain the pool and open & close for the season. The service they perform is outstanding. They are very responsive to any situation that might arise including last minute pool cleaning for my special events. We have sold our home and it is with regret that I will not be seeing them during the summer as I have for the past 17 years. I cannot say enough about Thom and Thom Jr. and their great staff. I HIGHLY recommend Dixon Pool Service.

We needed to replace all of the pool equipment and converted our pool to salt water. We also upgraded the lights and had a new pool cover made. Even though things were delayed due to the Covid 19 pandemic, all the work on the pool was finished in time for the summer. We also use Dixon Pool Service to take care of the pool, including seasonal closing and opening, and they do a great job maintaining the pool so we can just enjoy swimming. Thom is always friendly and helpful and he answers the phone himself! He also has made good recommendations for associated work, such as resurfacing our pool. I highly recommend Dixon POol Service.

Tom Dixon the owner of the company is wonderful! He fixed my burned out heater on a very tight timeline in time for a large party this Fall. He made multiple service calls after hours to diagnose, source parts and get the unit running. He also fixed the pool light which was also affected by a power surge. All this was done keeping cost in mind and I always feel that the charges are fair. We use Dixon pool for all our pool opening, closing and repairs and couldn't be happier. Highly recommend!

The service man showed up on time and was very professional and knowledgeable. However, the pool heater was beyond repair. The only problem I have with them is that he promised a quote from the company for a new heater which I never received so I went with another company.

We use Dixon Pool generally for our pool services and just used them to repair the pool heater. Thom tenaciously got to the bottom of the problem (literally) over a couple service calls-- including consultations with the manufacturer-- and got the unit functioning again. Not only do they apparently know how to do everything pool-related, they do it in the most amiable, responsive, honest and cost-conscious manner. We highly recommend Dixon Pool.

During the busy pool opening season, I called and they fit me in next day. They showed up on time, fixed my pump at a fair price. What more could you want

I decided to hire this company because of there reviews and price. Whoa, they did a GREAT job to check everything to ensure no leak and a good motor. I did ask Thomas a lot of questions, and he honestly answered all of my questions to ensure that it made sense to me. I am so happy with the company! I will HIRE them every year!

Great! Tom Dixon came and evaluated the problem, quickly determined the there was a bad circuit board on the heat pump. He confirmed it with the heat pump manufacturer. He ordered the part and was back the next week to install. Our pool heat is working fine now! Tom was professional, prompt, friendly and he knows his business. I'm so glad we found Dixon Pool Service on Angie's List! I highly recommend his service!

Dixon came out as scheduled right at the time they said they would. Although, I didn't ask, they also vacuumed the pool so when I'd open it in the spring it would be ready to go. They were courteous, professional, knowledgeable and even gave me a 5% discount being a first time Angie's List user. I highly recommend this company for anybody needing a pool or hot tub servicing.

Was referred to Tom Dixon by my barber. Contacted him via FaceBook. He responded within an hour and came out that evening. I had received repair quotes in the 6 to 700 dollar range. He was very honest and told me it was a $6 dollar part and charged me $20 for labor. Amazing work! HONEST! I also hired him to fix a coping ledge problem that a previous contractor did not fix. Again it was a fraction of the other pool company quotes and it worked! Done quickly for less than $200. I only use Tom Dixon now for pool issues!

I had been thinking that it might be a leak somewhere in the return line. It took him about ten seconds to tell (by listening to it) that it was a clog, not a leak. He tried a few times to clear the line by blowing it out (and the fact that the line would pressurize validated his view that it wasn't a leak). He did get the line to draw some water - much better than I'd been able to - but the line was still in his view clogged. He shared a few theories as to what the underlying problem could be, and referred me to another company who had the equipment needed to identify the location and nature of the clog / crimp, and make a reasonably efficient fix. Note that the price I'm listing is what he would accept when I insisted on paying him for his time - from his perspective he hadn't actually fixed the problem so I didn't owe him anything.

Extremely professional, friendly, and competent. No hesitation in recommending, and will certainly use again. Price above included opening, cover, vacuuming, and algicide. Excellent work.

Service was timely, satisfactory and a good value

These guys are great! It was easy to make an appointment. They showd up on time and they talked me through every step. They even provided me with rebate information for my new pool pump. A few weeks after service something broke on my pool cleaner the day before a big party. I called and no one was able to come out that day (due to an injury) and I was told over the phone how to fix the problem myself. I have them scheduled to shut down my pool and I am sure it will go well.

They are a very good company. They are very reliable.

We are new to pool ownership and operations and have contracted 3 pool maintenance companies in 5 months. We like Dixon's pool service the best. Thom, the owner, personally came by to provide an initial estimate and took great care to answer many of our questions on the spot. He was also able to demonstrate some easy pool maintenance techniques for us as well. The cost of services is also very affordable as compared to the other vendors and the level of service exceeded our expectations. Thom is very professional, knowledgeable, and polite - that is why we plan to continue using Dixon's pool service in the foreseeable future.

I love these guys. Friendly, professional, and so helpful. I just bought a house with an in-ground pool that they have a history of servicing. They spent a couple of hours with me doing their "pool indoctrination" to teach me all about the pool and how to clean/care for it. They answered all of my questions and provided really good information and tips. I have never owned a pool before but I had absolutely no problem following the instructions they gave me and the pool has been a joy. Afterwards they came and installed a new pool timer with no fuss at all. I will definitely keep using them for maintenance and to care for the pool when I am away on travel. Highly, highly recommend - they're just a pleasure to work with.

Tom was very nice and explained everything thoroughly. My pool was really dirty, so he spent extra time explaining the steps to get it clean and clear. He had all the parts that needed replaced so we didn't have to wait to get the pool up and running. Overall I would highly recommend Dixon Pool Service.

They were very good. They did an excellent job, they were courteous and they also gave us a way to save money. I thought it was a fair price.

I am extremely pleased with Dixon Pool Service! They are prompt, professional, honest and stick to their word. Mr. Dixon himself took my call and came out to service my pool. He also helped me troubleshoot a polaris issue via phone on a previous call to the company. He took the time to thoroughly check my pool when I noticed that it was not clean and did not have chlorine after being service a week before by a previous company (who the prior homeowners used/recommended). I have had no issues with the pool since then and have been able to maintain it as he instructed. He followed up with me on time two weeks after the initial service, as promised, to check on the pool. The price was competitive with several other companies I called and the one I previously used. I liked that Dixon offers weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly plans with no pressure to accept more services and treat you the same if you decide on a monthly plan. Monthly plans are a time and materials which is a little bit more upfront but a cost savings for me overall.

They were very professional. As far as the pricing, it was pretty standard. The guy who came out was very helpful and very professional. I asked him questions because I never had a pool before and he was very helpful. He studied through in some of the chemicals that he had put in it and he took care of everything. He charged me only for the closing. It was a little above & beyond. It wasn't a properly maintained pool when he came to close it. The price seems to be a little high, but I don't have much of the experience. It was a fair price. He squeezed the water that up and did what was required. I will use him again when it is the time to open it up.

I'm a first time pool owner. I had one company open my pool but thought they were dishonest. I had another company do an initial vacuum of the pool but they are a little pricey (the seller of the house had dumped all the dirty water and leaves in the pool so I felt a professional cleaning was necessary). After one season of owning it, I became rather proficient in maintaining it, but still wanted to hire someone to close it. I called Dixon Pool Service based on good reviews and Mr. Dixon answered. He was personable and gave me quotes for the tiered services they offer, which was competitively priced. He was able to schedule the closing in a few days and they arrived within the time frame provided. I vacuumed the pool before they arrived. They drained it (Mr. Dixon identified my septic system and ensured the pool was not drained around it. They added winterizing chemicals, blew air out of the lines, added non-toxic anti-freeze to the lines, put the pool cover on and provided guidance on how to maintain it during the off season. I needed more water bags to hold the cover down and they gave me a 20% discount. They also put everything neatly away in my shed. Mr. Dixon is no-nonsense and honest. He told me I could go another year with the aging cover and recommend a few options when I renew. He also answered a few of my other questions which will save me money. I also wanted some plumbing repairs performed on the lines and he provided a very reasonable off-season quote. His assistant was also personable and the two were able to close the pool in about an hour. I was pleased with the service and would hire them again. I'm just sorry I did not call them first when I opened the pool.

All my dealings with him have been great, whether it is replacing a piece of equipment or closing the pool. He is always courteous on the phone. If I cannot be at the house, he asks that the gate is left unlocked and to put the cover and water bags out by the pool. He leaves the pool area clean and orderly.
