Custom Tub & Tile Resurfacing LLC

We tried repeatedly to speak to the company to get work scheduled. Each time, they said they had not received a purchase order from Angie's List. I'm not sure where the blame should go for that, but their agents were not helpful in trying to resolve the issue. Finally, they called today to schedule the work and asked me provide a credit card number that they could have on file. As the work had already been paid for via Angie's List, I asked why the credit card number was needed. The representative said they would not schedule the work without my providing a credit card number. Again, I said this was most unusual and no other company had asked for a credit card number to be kept on file. The company agent then hung up on me. Buyers beware. Something is wrong here, and the company's telephone reps are less than courteous or helpful,and there's absolutely no reason they should ask for your credit card number.

I am very happy with the tub, but I think they made a mess and then tried to clean it up because I noticed a film on my bathroom floor tiles. I have been able to get some of it off, it is just that I don't have the time to pursue that with them. I would tell a friend to double check the job before they leave. There was no additional fee. It is different, because I think that they did a super excellent job with the tub, but the mess takes away some of it.

It was fine. There were a couple of bumps in there but it was fine. They did a pretty good job. They tried to sell me some other stuff but I didn't purchase what they were trying to sell me. I would give them a B only because of some rough areas. I thought they had some thing to dry it out. I waited like for 4 days before I used the tub. He was very professional and very pleasant. The price was good, I have checked and it was $50 cheaper than this other place. I didn't call them back, I decided to forget it. Communication was an A, they were good. I would use them in future and I would probably call to see that it's fixed. I didn't follow up like I normally would. The problem is really my fault, I should have done that but I decided to forget it. At least the tub is better than it was. I would like other Angie's List members to give them a chance. They are pretty good. The guy that came was very nice and very professional. I felt safe with him being in the house alone. He worked very hard. He was in here for a long time, hours. They should have come back after drying to check it. If he had done that, he would have seen what I was talking about. It is not like the paint was smeared or messed up. The paint job was good but the area should have sand down or something. But, it is something I can live with.

It went great. The guy showed up on time and did exactly what he was supposed to do. The smell did linger a bit longer than they said it would, but that's a small price to pay, and our bathtub looks new.

The company was responsive to my inquiries, provided an estimate, and came at the time that we had scheduled. The work was performed very thoroughly. The newly resurfaced tub looks great and seems to be very good quality. It is just like new.

So why would I write a positive review when I didn't use the services of this company? Read on... I called Custom Tub and Tile Resurfacing because I wanted my bathtub resurfaced as part of a remodel. Christopher and I had a few messages back and forth so he could clarify my needs. As part of that process, he asked me to send him a picture of my bathtub, which I did. In the picture he could see the bathroom demolition had been completed. Then, he took the time to call me and inform me that it may be in my best interest to rethink the need for a tub resurfacing when it would be cheaper to replace the tub than to refinish it. I was skeptical at first, but after doing some research and talking to my contractor, it was a cheaper and better way to go. I was so impressed with Christopher's professionalism and his desire to work in the best interest of me, the customer. That is a practice that is rarely seen in today's world and should be celebrated. So yes, I feel qualified to rate this company even though I did not use its' services. But you can bet, if I ever have the need for his type of business, he'll be the first company I'll be calling!

The process took about three hours and the finished product looks wonderful. I am so pleased with my 'new' bathtub.

I called the day before the scheduled service to confirm and was told that I'd misunderstood the time for the service. The representative refused to budge (at first), said I could reschedule for a penalty fee. I purchased this deal back in November, scheduling it for yesterday, strategically between my bathroom renovation and a family visit. I was very disheartened that I was being penalized for misunderstanding the time. It was a heated conversation. I called Angie's List to report the incident, and they opened a ticket. Not long thereafter, the company representative called me, and we worked out a compromise on the time. Ended up apologizing to each other, and all ended well. The technician came yesterday and did the work. The tub looks great, but I was disappointed that he didn't make the extra little effort to touch up the grout between the wall tiles adjacent the tub. I had to leave him in the house while I kept my appointment (hence the reason for the upset reaction to the time misunderstanding), and I left him a nice tip. I just get the impression that this company follows their policies very strictly, not much room for little niceties. I hope I don't have to repeat this service again in my lifetime but, if I do, I probably would not use this company again. The whole experience was just a little rough around the edges.

It went well. I paid another $125 because they had to remove some things. They showed up on time.

The provider was prompt, courteous and friendly. The work was excellent and completely transformed the space in only a few hours. There was little to no mess not cleaned up, ventilation was provided and the smell of the epoxy quickly dissipated. I would gladly use these people again, and wish I had not waited so long to get rid of the baby blue tiles that had dated my bathroom for so long.

Everything went great and as expected. Courteous call to schedule service. Friendly call to follow up and remind about service scheduled a day or two in advance. Expert technician that worked quickly, efficiently, ensured proper ventilation, and made sure to protect surrounding areas. Great result. 60 year old tub looks brand new.

This was a very positive experience. From scheduling the work (Larkin was extremely responsive and pleasant) to the completed refinishing, it could not have been a smoother process. We were extremely pleased with the professionalism and thoroughness of Jose, who was the service technician. The bathtub looks excellent and I'm very pleased with the skid-resistant surface (which is an improvement from the original bathtub). The odor generated from the resurfacing process was minimal and dissipated within 24 hours. I can understand why Custom Tub and Tile Resurfacing receives such high customer reviews. I would recommend the company without hesitation -- and thank Angie's List for such an excellent deal.

Service was very good. Technician arrived on time and finished a long day but had to come back for a short session later to "finish" the job.

The provider was going to resurface our tub. We were not able to use them because of we were outside of the service area, however, the owner of the company did call us and give us a recommendation for a company that was in our service area. That is good customer service. Thank you.

They resurfaced an old bathtub making the dull, worn out unit look shiny and new. They took up the old caulk and laid a new bead of bright white caulk. The work looks great and was a fantastic bargain.

The tub looks BEAUTIFUL! The old color of the tub dated the bathroom, especially since the toilet and vanity sink had been replaced with a more modern color. But I wasn't interested in the expense of replacing the tub. I was amazed at how smooth the coverage is and love the look of the bathroom with the new color. Carlos was the technician who came. He was professional, polite, and informative. I would definitely recommend the company.

Everyone involved was professional, prompt, and courteous. The gentleman who did the work came on time, left everything neat and clean, and did a fantastic job. My tub looks shiny and new. Great work. I would definitely use this company again.

The provider called a week before the appointment to review what I should expect on the day of service . The provider was on time & prepared the bathroom for the tub reglazing. A large tubular vent sleeve was connected to a fan in the bathroom & the end was placed through an opened window in the closest room to the tub. This decreases the fumes/ smell of the glazing product. The process took about 2.5 hrs which I was advised of on the previous phone contact. The tub looks great ! I do have to say that the smell from the product did linger for about 3 days but I was expecting that from reading previous reviews. I believe if we had left the bathroom door open the odor would have dissipated sooner. We closed the door & turned on the bathroom vent fan which actually caused the smell to linger longer... so leave the door open. I am no longer embarrassed about the look of my bathtub. The technician [ Mr Gonzolez ? ] was very timely, polite & cleaned up everything before leaving. He provided us a list of approved cleaning agents that we could use & advised us that the tub could be used after 24 hours. Custom Tub & Tile emailed the same information the following day along with the certificate of 5 yr warranty. Great service... we are very pleased with the results! If we needed any other service of this nature I would not hesitate to call them . I would certainly refer any of my friends/ neighbors to them also.
