It was good. Only one thing that I want to add as a feedback, when they did it, the deal was I think $275. I was expecting that they're going to come and they're going to refinish color it. Once they came here they said that the tub was previously colored. First I need to take that thing out that is extra labor. Its going to cost me $125. I ended up paying $400. I took some time off from work. I took the appointment for 8 o'clock and I didn't want to let it go because they're there. I didn't want to go through the hassles and since they're there let's do it. $125 extra is fine. It would have been better if they would have said, whatever the deal is, we're going to do it. I got this little shock that I had to pay extra. I had a feeling that underlying, there is a fine print. It shouldn't be like that. It should clearly say that if your tub is previously painted, we have to take it out and you have to pay $125 extra. When I bought it, I didn't see that. I expected you to give my phone number and email address. I was expecting that they're going to call me or send me an email. Seven days passed by, no calls, no emails. Then I called the company. The receptionist I think was Jackie as far as I can remember. I have bought something from Angie's List and I didn't get any call. I need an appointment to get this repaint done. Then she said, we respond very quickly. I don't know why you didn't get it. She started to get the information. The manager was saying we send the message in, when you log in to Angie's List then you can see that we sent you a message. We don't get our email or phone number. Some other people might have the same thing; they're expecting a call or expecting an email. gain in the confirmation, it doesn't say that all the correspondents, once you log in to Angie's List, only the correspondence will be there. Maybe he's right but I didn't have time later on to go online and check if whatever he was saying is true or not. Those are the only two things which actually got me. Other than that, everything was fine. I was expecting it to be a bit more glossy. I never have done this before so I don't have anything to compare it with. It is painted nicely but it is not that glossy. It is a little bit mat compared to a new tub. The finish is holding up. I talked with a couple of other people, somebody asked for $400 at that time. When Angie's List came with $199, I thought I got a good deal. I had a couple of hours left, I bought it quickly. The price was standard, I didn't win anything.

Dennis the service tech arrived on scheduled and explained the work he would perform. The entire process was performed quickly and the results were outstanding. The tub looked brand new. Dennis explained what should and shouldn't be done during the next 24 hours and left information for me to review. I would certainly used this vendor again.

They did a great job- worked cleanly and finished in under 3 hours

It was a very positive experience. It was very easy to set up appointments. I had to reschedule once and the representative worked with me to find a date. I was provided information regarding the process and what to expect. I also received information about preparation. On the day of service, I received a call ahead of time to let me know they were on their way. Upon arrival, the worker once again explained the process. He set up an air handling system to send the dust from the sanding to the outside. This was very helpful. There was a bad smell during the process but it went away quickly. The worker was very professional After finishing, I received information about care of the tub to maintain the surface. Later I received an email with a 5-year warranty and reminder about how to clean and what to use. I was very pleased with the final product. I now have a shiny white tub.

It was done very well. The chemicals they use produce an odor that takes awhile to get out of your house, but from what I understand that is the nature of the process. I think they should do a better job at isolating the chemicals so they don't spread to the whole house.

I bought a coupon on Angie's List for $275 to refinish a tub. Did I read the FINE PRINT? Nooooooooo. I read the highlighted print on the confirmation email. I didn't bother to read the contract. I didn't realize that $275 is only for tubs that had never been refinished before. Workman shows up on time, I show him the tub, I point out it had been refinished before-- he blanches and says that it will cost me an additional $______ (can't remember... $125 or something?) to strip the tub before refinishing. He looks puzzled and chagrined, because the company's schedulers are trained to make sure that customers understand this ahead of time so that there aren't any surprises or accusations of "bate and switch." So was it my bad or did I get a new scheduler-in-training who didn't alert me to the issue of previously refinished tubs costing more than the coupon value? I remember the scheduler going over a number of issues to prepare for the refinishing, i.e. the issue of pets, to which I responded-- "yes, I remember-- when we used to have cats we had to lock them away in a room while the tub was being refinished." In other words, I let the scheduler know we had done this before. That was the time to say-- "Wait, did you say this tub has already been refinished once before? That costs an additional $XXX to strip it, not just the coupon price." I don't recall the scheduler saying anything about it at all. There was this awkward stalemate, so the worker got me the owner on the phone, who was horrified that this situation happened. He works with the staff to make sure that pricing and add-ons are absolutely transparent and is determined not to have these situations arise. Solution: the worker recommended I NOT refinish the tub that I had planned to refinish, because-- he said-- that tub was really in pretty good shape (a few nicks here & there from dropped hand-held shower head, and such, but basically the finish is sound-- no peeling). Instead, I should consider refinishing the other tub in the house-- a small one in the guest bathroom, which was stained from water pooling in an area where it was not draining properly. The worker said he could level that area for an additional $85, and the owner agreed to honor that price even though the worker spent HOURS fine tuning it. That tub looks great now. Drains well. The smell lasted over 2 weeks. I was pleased that both the business owner and his worker did their best to make up for this misunderstanding, in order to ensure that I would be happy.

Great service. Their office scheduled the work, and then rescheduled when I had a conflict. The technician showed up on time, was extremely courteous and knowledgeable, and exuded a sense of professionalism and confidence. In fact, after he started the work, I felt comfortable enough to leave him there along to complete the job. The finished product was terrific. I plan to use Custom Tub and Tile to do the other tub, and also clean the wall and floor tile in both bathrooms. A quality experience. I would recommend them to anyone.

I had a 25 year old tub that was not only a yellowish color but also had a severe case of soap scum that was very difficult to scrub off. I decided after a short while of trying to clean it that I wanted to refinish the tub anyway so why not let them do the cleaning. I even had a dime size spot where the enamel had come off. I saw the Angie's List deal for $275 and decided to pull the trigger. I just got the standard white and I think it looks so much better. The tech even went above and beyond in cleaning the overflow drain. It does smell very strong for that day and the next day but by the following morning, it was not as bad and it was pretty much gone within four days. If I had not already changed my other tub into a full size shower, I would have had them do it as well.

They did excellent work. It looks gorgeous. They did very professional work and were on time. They are very nice to work with. It was an old bathroom where they did the tile. It came out beautifully. They covered all the cracks that were there. So that was great. The price was very fair. They were very responsive. They helped me a lot emailing back and forth all the details.

Everything went better than you could wish for. The tech was on time, courteous and knew what he was doing. The finished product is better than you can imagine. I will be using Custom Tub and Tile AGAIN, and will heartily be recommending them to my friends.

Although the finished product seems to be satisfactory, there was not much attention to protecting the bathroom from over spray. After the technician left I was left with a rough film coating on the sink, toilet, fixtures and faucets. The adjacent closet was also left with a film on the floor since apparently is was not covered during the process. The caulking around the tub was not refinished as nicely as what I already had around the tub.

I purchased the Angie's list deal on 1/14. I was immediately contacted and able to setup the bath tub to be re-glazed and re-caulked on 1/19. The technician (Juan) called 30 minutes before arrival, arrived on time, and took approximately 2 hours to complete the job. Many reviews talk to the smell which was noticeable hours later, however for that minor inconvenience we now have a bathtub that looks brand new.

It went great. My guy was unable to make the initial appointment but they called to inform me he was stuck at another job and quickly rescheduled. When he came to do the work, he was professional and I was happy with the finished product.

Prepared the bathroom and vented it to an outside window. Went through the many steps of resurfacing. The tub and tile is now a clean, crisp, new white color instead of yellow. It looks new. A beautiful, amazing difference. The clean-up was great. I was very happy.

We were very happy with the service. The company arrived on time, did the work nicely and cleaned up after they were done. They gave good instructions for what we needed to do both before and after the refinishing to maintain the new finish. We're really happy to have a nice, new looking tub for a fraction of the price. Three months later, it still looks good and is easy to care for. The chemicals they used smelled very strongly for about three days, but they had warned us about this and I'm sure it would be the case with any company (just something to be aware of before deciding to have this service done - not anything the company could have done differently).

Could not have asked for better service. Finally, a company that does what they said they would do! Excellent work, aswesome customer service, punctual and professional. Worked long into the day to get the work completed for customer convenience.Would recommend and hire again.

We bought the big deal for a tub resurface. They came and did a great job of resurfacing the tub and applying a new edge of caulk around the tub. The tech covered areas in the vicinity of the tub. However, once the job was complete, we noticed the glazing material on our toilet, sink, handles, towel bar, etc. we called the company and they came out immediately to clean it up.

They did an excellent job. They were very professional. I had some concerns and spoke to the owner beforehand. I had to reschedule and they were fine with that. The person that came out was on time and very knowledgeable. The fumes were very strong and I would recommend scheduling a few days to let it air out.

That went okay. They did what they were supposed to do.

It looks perfect now! They arrived when they said they would, it took as long as they said, they left great instructions for care. I would definitely use them again.

I bought the $275 bath tub resurfacing package on Angie's list and was promptly contacted by the provider to set a date. I was informed that if my tub had been resurfaced before it would cost an additional $125 because they would have to remove the old surface. I sent them a detailed picture of my tub and it was confirmed that it had indeed be resurfaced. After comparing the cost of replacing the tub verses resurfacing I decided to have it resurfaced. The job went just as described on their web site. The day of the job the technician arrived on time and quickly went to work. It took around 3 hours to finish the job. The tub looks like new and he did a good job calking around the tub. All the handles, shower head and drain were taped and looked good. Even though they have a blower which vents the fumes outside during the job, you are still left with a smell in the bathroom. After two days passed I filled the tub with water for a day before draining. This helped with the smell which over time dissipated.

I purchased an Angie's List Big Deal to have my bathtub re-glazed. The appointment was scheduled by telephone and the person I spoke to on the phone explained what to expect and how to prepare for the process. She also emailed me further helpful information. At the time I scheduled my appointment, I was told that if I cancelled or changed my appointment less than 2 days before the appointment I would be charged $75 and she requested my credit card information at the time I made my appointment even though I had already paid in advance for the service (based on my experience with other Angie's List service providers, this was unusual). I did not change my appointment time so was not charged the extra $75. The technician - Juan - arrived on time and set up an exhaust system that vented from the bathroom to the outside through a bedroom window since my bathroom does not have any windows. He was careful to wrap the bathroom door in plastic. The entire process took about 3 hours. My bathtub had several scratches that Juan completely removed and he also removed and replaced all the old caulking around the tub that had looked awful. The tub and caulking now look great! The bathtub looks brand new and shiny. Juan was very professional, courteous, and he cleaned up well after he finished up, leaving the bathroom clean and neat. I feel that I received excellent value for the amount I paid and I am very pleased with the results. I chose re-glazing as a less expensive alternative to buying a new bathtub, although extra care must now be taken to avoid using abrasive cleansers and anything else that may damage the surface.

The provider was on time, friendly, and courteous. It took a while to do and smelled a little bad during the job but the end result is great. I'm glad I had them do it.
