Dicks Air Conditioning & Heating

After calling another company (SILA) and them telling me I need either another motor and then suggesting that I should invest in getting a new furnace, I decided to get a second opinion. I looked on Angie's list again and called Dick's Air & Heating. they fit me in the next day, the guy was very friendly he checked my furnace and found a dead bird which caused my heating unit to automatically shut off, he also said my furnace was fine and I will not need a new one no time soon. I can not thank this company enough for they honesty and skilled workmen. I will definitely used this company from now on for my maintenance check ups. As a single woman home owner, it is important to deal with companies that do their job correctly, tell the truth and not try to rip people off. Thank God for this company

The job went very well. Our AC unit wasn't working. A technician was dispatched and diagnosed the problem very quickly. We needed a motor which was ordered that day. The motor arrived the next day and was replaced immediately. We haven't had any problems with our AC since.

The service depends on the tech that you get. I always ask for the same person who has serviced my units. I did have an issue with one tech telling me I was having a problem with my air duct work but it really was the furnace. I called back and asked for the original tech, the one I use all the time, he came in and knew the problem right away.

Very well. Just sorry they don't work in the area where my other house is.

prompt service to address my water leak was appreciated. Leak issue was resolve immediately. Technician seemed highly skilled in identifying and solving the problem.

Excellent service! I called Friday evening at 6pm, and a service tech (Doug S.) was able to have my AC up and running by Saturday at 3pm. My AC is located on the roof of mid-size condo, and was not marked nor was there a floor plan to locate. It was also 90 plus degrees (we were in the midst of heatwave). In spite of all these obstacles, Doug was able to locate and identify the appropriate unit; he even marked it and showed me where it is located for future reference. I very much appreciate these extra efforts! Doug is professional and knowledgeable. He took the time to answer my many questions, so I learned a few things about AC units.

The service call went great! The dispatcher at the company said that they would be at my house between 8a and 12n, I would be notified when the technician was enroute, and that I was the first call of the day. She also advised me to turn my air conditioner off (why do a/c units always develop problems during the hottest days of the year??) to avoid any potential further damage. I received a call at 8:15a saying that Douglas was enroute. By 8:30a, he arrived. Douglas was very friendly, very professional and very competent - exactly what you want when someone comes to your house to do a repair. Not only did he clean out the pipe, he also showed me what I could do to prevent this problem in the future. Then he checked over my entire system to make sure it was running correctly. I would definitely hire this company in the future for maintenance on my Hvac system.

***** Air Conditioning and Heating was outstanding. The tech sent to our home, Doug Sanford, was extremely knowledgeable and professional. We received a diagnosis from another company regarding our broken air conditioning. That company suggested an expensive but unnecessary repair. Doug quickly diagnosed the real problem and fixed it within an hour, saving us from enduring a weekend with 90+ temps without air conditioning. I will definitely use this company again for my heating and air conditioning needs.

I had a prepaid annual maintenance contract each year for my furnace and heat pump on my original equipment and after D**** installed new ones. both units were serviced in the fall and spring each year. last year a different technician came to service unit. charged me an additional 125.00 to clean coils on furnace after asking for a brush to clean the coils then coming back to show me a picture on his phone that he claimed was my unit, requiring special chemical treatment (125.00). I called office and was told that this was usual. I sent a letter this month to D**** identifying my feelings and asking for information on the things covered under the maintenance contract. that was 2 weeks ago. I have not received a response of any kind! BEWARE!!

With the exception of a possible misunderstanding based on how the technician spoke to us (which came across as unprofessional at first), it went well. The technician also did an excellent job of explaining to me - a novice to say the least! - the issues surrounding what I thought was a bigger problem than it was. He was very patient.

Tech arrived as scheduled. Two a/c systems checked with no problems. Freon and filters were good. Both systems working properly.

Excellent service from the moment we called. The technician arrived at the appointment time and checked our AC unit, a part had to be ordered and the technician returned earlier than expected to do the repair, we had our AC repaired in one day with an explanation as to what was going on with repairs and friendly service. So glad we called Dick's , I would highly recommend them and we will definitely use them for all our Heat and AC needs in the future.

Everyone that I interacted with at this company was friendly, professional, and thorough. They take pride in doing their jobs right and really know their stuff! This is kind of dedication and commitment to excellence is rare. The tech who arrived to perform the inspection for our estimate did and thorough and proper job of it. He did not simply walk around the inside of our home counting registers in order to determine the type of equipment to recommend. After his inspection, he took the time to discuss our needs. He didn't try to oversell us and, most importantly, did not leave until he'd answered every question to our satisfaction. We were never once made to feel as though he had somewhere more important to be. The day of the installation, they arrived right on time and the installation went well. We're very happy with our purchase and saving big on our electricity bill. I highly recommend them and will definitely be doing business with them again.

I used an Angie's list big deal coupon and called late in the afternoon and they were able to schedule an appointment for the next day. They showed up promptly and answered a few questions I had. Their representative was very professional and knowledgeable. He worked quickly and efficiently. I would use them again in the future and in fact plan on using them for my next maintenance checks.

Professional all the way. Tommy, who they sent out, was cheerful, respectful and completely professional. He handled the business super, super quick! As a result of that, and the fact that I have an old unit, I'm going to be scheduling a new unit install with them for this fall. These folks are pros and their local - two pluses in my book.

They did a great job. They are responsive, professional, very good. They give you an estimate up front, and it generlly matches the final cost. We are very pleased with their work.

The technician, Gerald, was early and ready to get to work! He checked all levels in my home to see how the HVAC system was working at maintaining the temperature. He showed me how the installation company (AR-) cut corners thus adding to the inconsistent temperatures throughout my home. That has been my complaint since purchasing my new home. He strongly recommended contacting the company to fix the issues. (Which I had on numerous times, yet they refuse to resolve.) I would DEFINITELY contact Dick's again!!

Excellent service! Our furnace stopped working and I called them the night before and they sent someone out the next day. Patrick came out and made one repair but the next day our furnace still wasn't working properly. Patrick came back out again and was able to fix our furnace. I was really worried I would need a new furnace but Patrick was able to fix the problem and even said we could probably get another 5-10 years out of our furnance. I was expecting them to try and sell me a new furnace but instead they were honest and I really appreciate it. I definitely recommend using them for all your heating or HVAC needs

They were outstanding. The tech was very punctual, told me a bit about the history of the area in addition to what he did with the furnace. It was great.

The workers were great -- very professional. There was some discrepancies with the rebates that we were entitled to. We spoke to them about it and kept going back and forth over the amount. The workers did good work and they were prompt. I like that they send the same workers who are familiar with the house & dog.
