Dicks Air Conditioning & Heating

Do not use Dick's AC and Heating LLC. They were doing work at my neighbors home. They backed into a stone wall in my driveway when they were leaving. My neighbor had to tell them to come let us know that they damaged the wall. The company sent out amateurs to do the repair....they made it worse. We insisted on experienced contractors so now they are saying that they didn't hit the wall AFTER sending folks out to try to repair it. Avoid companies with no ethics or integrity...spend your dollars on people who do the right thing.

I contacted Dick's to diagnose the problem with my Trane air handler and Honeywell zoning device. They said they charge $120 for dispatch. Their tech came and looked at the system and quoted another $300 for additional diagnostics. He said two guys are needed to finish the diagnostics. My issue is, why would they charge me $120 for an incomplete diagnosis? I was okay with paying $300 for initial diagnostics but they were asking for a total of $420 for that alone, repairs not included. Long story short I had to pay $120 for literally nothing. I called another technician (B&B Heating & Cooling) to get a second opinion. Sure enough the problem was minor, some of the dampers were screwed in the wrong way and the zone that wasn't working was wired to the wrong part of the board. They only charged $210 but got the whole issue fixed. This company's service is horrible, I'm not contacting them again.

Patrick Crews was very rude to me and my family members. He arrive at my house to fix the AC and implied that we should be thankful for him coming by at the end of the day to service our AC. He didn’t clearly explain what the problem was and then threaten to remove the replacement part if we didn’t just pay him. I appreciate the company’s prompt response to our service request but we wouldn’t recommend the company to others because of the arrogant and unprofessional behavior of Mr. Crews.

I called multiple people, and one company actually cancelled on us after verified the work we needed done. We were also in a rush to get this pipe fixed to prevent precipitation and animals from getting inside the pipe to the furnace. We contacted ***** and they were able to respond within an hour. The gentleman assessed the damage and was able to repair the pipe the had fell off.

It is not a contract. I call them when it is needed. It comes with a 30 day warranty. Pricing is excellent. They overlooked something and had to come back so quality is a B. They are very responsive. Professionalism is always good. I have used them for years. They clean up after themselves.

In the midst of a family emergency, my A/C stopped working around 9 pm. I called Dick’s at 8:30 am the next day and a tech was at my house by 9:30 am that SAME DAY! What incredible service. Technician Doug quickly diagnosed the problem, installed a replacement part and the A/C started working/cooling immediately. I couldn’t be more happy with the prompt, reliable service that I received. I would HIGHLY recommend Dick’s for your A/C and heating needs. I am an extremely satisfied customer.

The only thing I have them do is come in once a year or twice a year and do some updates.Dick is the originator, this other gentleman married his daughter and he took over the business with the daughter of Dick. I really thought he was a confident person; he was in the business for 25, maybe 30 years, but I'm not sure if he's going to be the same guy. He gave me a passing grade on a heat pump that's been working for 20 years, it's kind of surprising to me. I'm uncertain if I'd use them again. I was giving him the grade of A.

Horrible - one hour after Dick's installed the system in our home their system began to leak on the main level of our home because of the way the tube was routed in the wall. Dick's sent out a technician Patrick to repair the problem that evening and he did not resolve the issue and the unit began leaking again. On May 20 Dick's sent out two technician's Patrick and Doug and after 5-hours of work they could not resolve the issue. On May 21 Patrick and Doug returned to resolve the issue and not only did they not resolve the issue but they destroyed our kitchen wall by cutting out spaces around the unit in hopes to resolve the leak but the unit continued to leak. On May 22 the original technician returned to resolve the issue and to take pictures of the damage to the wall - he resolved the leak (for a few days) and promised that a repairman would be out to repair the wall (who never came). Two of the units stopped working on June 9 due to a programming issue which Linda in the main office helped us to resolve but June the unit started to leak again. In speaking with Lisa in the main office over the last three weeks she has tried to work with her technicians to resolve these issues but has not been successful. We have asked on two occasions to have these units removed from our home to avoid any more water damage to our hard wood floors but they continue to send technicians that are clearly inexperienced with installing ductless system to resolve the problem and has never considered removing and replacing the unit. We have no faith in Dick's A/C and Heating to resolve our issue and will be contacting the manufacturer for a recommendation for a company to help resolve the issue. Beware of hiring Dick's A/C to install a ductless heating and air system in your home. At this point they are not trying to help us fix our wall and have grown tired of the calls to resolve the leaking unit.

It went great. I think their prices are fair. I haven’t been having any issues. We called them and they showed up that day. I wasn’t there when they cane for the heating. I would call them again and I would recommend them. One person came out. They left the area clean. When the did the inspection there wasn’t any issues, everything was fine.

Initial communication issue but the check-up went off without a hitch. They installed my system 10+ years ago and have always been reliable. I usually get the service plan but had let it lapse because I have been so busy, so I wanted to get back on the "they will come when it breaks and it covers parts" plan. Their service people have always been friendly and knowledgeable. ** One note the phone number listed in Angie's List service appears to be a old number as I had to look up their number from their web site to schedule. **

It was kind of difficult to schedule the appointment because it appeared online that you could schedule the appointment online, but we never heard back from them. However, when I was able to reach them it was easy to get someone to come out and the person that came was great. The person that came out provided wonderful service and the person I spoke with on the phone for scheduling provided good service. However, the person who was supposed to respond online, never responded so there was a lot of time wasted. Had I not been persistent, I may still be waiting. I would use them again now that I know who to contact and how to contact them to get the appointment.
