Description of Work: I thought my heating system wasn’t working. They did fix the problem.

Description of Work: My father was there to greet the technician. According to my father the technician speculated the problem. Took a part and was going to get back with us. The technician never came back.

Description of Work: I contacted Dick's A/C & Heating to do a routine fall maintenance on my oil furnace, as well as a rental house we have located on the same property. Normally the yearly maintenance includes cleaning, replacing the burner tip (nozzle head) and the oil filter. After the technician was here a short period of time, he informed me the furnace didn't need any repairs, etc. It was "clean, clean." Normally I would have heard a vacuum running, but not this time. I also asked him if he had replaced the nozzle head and the oil filter. He said they didn't need to be replaced, but he would do it if I wanted him. He did at an additional cost above the $69.00 of $77.00. I talked with the tenant yesterday and he indicated the same procedure was followed at that house. The technician did arrive within the time frame I had been given. I also got a phone call indicating he was on his way. He was very courteous and friendly.

Description of Work: I had a new heat pump system installed. I called for an estimate and they scheduled an appointment for the same weeik. I received the estimate back during that week and was able to make a decision fairly quickly because of their prompt response. I had called another contractor, Cropp Metcalf and it took them over a week to come out and I waited for two weeks and never received an estimate. The system is working fine and they said they would come out for each season change this hear to service the heat pump. I haven't called them out yet,but plan to do so this week.

Description of Work: I called Dick's on Sunday afternoon concerned about my AC unit not shutting off after the appropriate temp was reached. This went on for 5 days constantly running. Then I had enough and thought about my Pepco bill. It was such short notice I thought they wouldn't have any appointments available the next day. They called before they came to my house and arrived within 15 minutes. Patrick diagnosed the problem. The wires from the outside unit had burnt out and needed to be rewired. This required another technician because Patrick couldn't fish for wires by himself. He made several calls and next thing 2 more Dick's techs showed up. The entire process took 2 hours. I was just glad he didn't say we needed a new system.

Description of Work: You should list your actual service area. I am wasting a lot of time calling service companies that don't actually cover the area listed (in pg county greenbelt).
