Emailed the contractor via Angie's list and he responded immediately. Asked me to text photos of the job I needed done. Once I sent the text, the response again was immediate. Scheduled an appointment for the very NEXT day. The contractor phoned when he was in route to my home arriving slightly earlier then the appointed time. The job was completed in less then one hour. The cost was fair and I could not be more pleased with the results. I wish ALL contractors were as good as John. He listened to my concerns, addressed them all and offered recommendations for future flooring needs I would recommend Riley's to anyone in need of carpeting install or repair. This was a relatively small job but he made me feel like it was just as important as any of the larger projects this company has done. Thank you John!!

Shawn was wonderful. He responded quickly to my initial call, came over and gave me an estimate. After we had established what needed to be done he was able to accommodate us and our short time table. He was professional, courteous, and on time. I would recommend him to anybody looking to install carpet. I will definitely be using him when we put new carpet in the rest of the house.

Shawn was punctual and thorough for both the estimate and repair. He was very open and honest about our options and recommended what seemed practical rather what could have made him more money. I left Shawn, owner, a text message and he got back to me within 30 minutes. He asked that I text a photo of the damaged area, which I did, and he sent me an estimate and said he could do it the next day at 0830. He arrived promptly and we selected the best remnant for the patch and repair work. He also looked at the large, basement room that needed to be re-stretched and and gave me an estimate. Shawn moved the tack strip and 'cut-in' the new piece using heat sealing on the seam. Looks great! Next he moved to the basement and power stretched the carpet after drilling and re-nailing the nail strips. The carpet looks like new. Shawn was punctual, professional and cheery to work with. Couldn't ask for better service. I will definitely use him again for carpet needs and recommend his work to others without reservation.

Shawn responded to my first inquiry in less than five minutes. His communication was excellent throughout the entire process. Shawn is very knowledgeable about carpet and he did all the installation himself. He and his helpers were accommodating and friendly. Shawn may not be the cheapest guy in town but the quality of his work was worth every penny.

Mr. Riley was extremely accommodating and managed to fit in this small job early in the morning before he and his assistant were planning on tackling another huge job that would take them all day. He is very knowledgeable and experienced and does things the way they should have been done in the first place when he tries correcting installation mistakes made by others. He and his assistant could not have been more pleasant and helpful.

Mr. Riley responded to my inquiry very quickly, set up the appointment to come quite quickly, and arrived on time. He had given me a general idea of the price over the phone, but had to see the carpets to be specific. He said he would come, give me a price, and if I accepted it, he would do the work on the spot. If I wasn't satisfied with the price, I would have no obligation. His price was fair, but not cheap. He worked quickly and did an excellent job. One of the carpets was fairly new, the other two quite old. He had the right tools to restretch my carpets and they look nice. He did not try to sell me services that I did not need. I recommend him and would use him again.

Shawn di a great job. Being so far away from the house he stepped right up to ease my concerns. He call before the job to inform me of the carpet delivery and confirm his schedule. He showed up on time and with a great attitude. He delivered all that was promised and more. He not only installed the carpet he made sure the doors all worked and even adjusted quite a few of the closet doors so they worked correctly. He talked me thru each issue that he found with solutions instead of excuses. The carpet is great and not being there to watch the job I had my sister inspect the job once completed and she was so please. I have had three other walk the house and they all agree the color selection was perfect and the installation flawless. I would give him a 10 on all of this experience. He did an incredible job and the carpet looks fantastic! I would recommend him to anyone due to his professionalism, respect, and hard work. Communicating with him about the specific stair tread (I have an open staircase so I couldn't do traditional carpeting) was easy and helpful too. I ordered the high end carpeting (his suggestion) via Home Depot, received samples, and Facetime'd with him to show what he'd be working with before he came out to perform the job. Overall, a wonderful success!!

Couldn't be happier. Looks great, and since the newly carpeted loft room is right above the master bedroom, we wanted maximum sound insulation. Now we can't hear our 13 year old son and his friends above us...and they can't hear us. Riley did a great job with this very demanding custom installation!

The owner, Shawn, was very professional, reliable and had an excellent fund of knowledge regarding the carpeting business. We appreciated his honesty in telling us that our carpeting was still in good shape and did not need to be replaced, just restretched. His estimate to restretch our wall-to-wall carpeting was fair and he completed the job quickly, yet very efficiently. We didn't lift a finger to move our furniture around as he did everything, including a great clean-up job. The carpet looks great now and we highly recommend his services. In fact, when we are ready for new carpeting to be installed, we will contact this company.

It was more work than we originally thought but Shawn took it all in stride and did a fantastic job. He re-did all our tack strips and screwed down the loose floorboards. Finally he restretched the carpet and it looks great. This was a cleanup from a poor install job Luna did two years ago that they were making us jump through hoops to fix. Shawn was our savior here! We'll definitely use him again.

His work and professional service at a fair price are unrivaled. Cut out the middle man and deal with Shawn. He is down to earth and he doesn't play pricing games like the big companies. He does the work himself and you can reach him anytime on his cell phone. I have done a lot of dealing with home improvement vendors and Shawn is by far the best, most easy to deal with of all of them. We will use Shawn for all of our carpet needs in the future as well.

I contacted Riley's carpet service through Angie's List. I was contacted within minutes of submitting the request. Shawn scheduled an appointment to measure the living spaces and provide samples / pricing. He arrived on time, measured the area and gave me a quote on the spot. He is extremely knowledgeable regarding carpet / installation. I shopped at 3 local "big name" carpet stores and the carpet I got from Shawn a much higher quality at a lower price. He stays on site and assists with the installation. 100% satisfied.
