Main Street Oriental Rugs

Mr Baha was helpful in showing oriental rug collection of requested size; provided background information on rugs. Rug purchased at good price (50% off using annual sale ad coupon). Cut and bound runner. Binding completed within projected time frame. Kept me informed through e mail.

When I called Main Street Oriental Rugs in Ellicott City, MD, they assured me they would definitely have a rug for me - they had thousands of rugs. When I arrived, I was overwhelmed by the variety of rugs (sizes, colors, types). I went to another part of the store, and the proprietor was going over the different types of rugs, the colors, fibers, where they were made, how they were made, etc. While trying to make a decision, I was told that they had found a rug for me in the front of the store, and two members of the staff had unrolled so I could see. It was perfect! The right colors, size, texture, and price! On top of that, I was advised that I could take home to ensure that it worked well in my living room - at no charge. (They did take my credit card info, but no charge would be made until I advised I wanted to keep.) This is important - other stores that specialized in Oriental rugs would not allow me to take unless I purchased. If it didn't work out, I could bring back for a store credit. THIS WAS NOT THE CASE WITH MAIN STREET ORIENTAL RUGS. I am extremely happy with my rug and will definitely make my next rug purchase there.

I picked up the rug yesterday and it was so bright and clean and ready for our house. I have it placed and we are enjoying it now. I have other rugs that I plan to take there.

The owner is very knowledgeable about Oriental rugs and very patient. He took a lot of time pulling out rug after rug from the large inventory until I found the ones I liked. Because it is hard to imagine how they would look with my furniture, he offered to let me borrow several items for 3 days. It took several tries for me to find the best combination of color and design but I'm very happy with the results. I bought an 8' X 10' rug and 10' and 12' runners. (And Ellicott City is an interesting place to spend an afternoon.)

We brought our Viscose oriental rug which had been urinated on numerous times by our dogs and had frayed edges. The customer service was excellent! The owner told us up front that he may not be able to repair the frayed edges because he may not be able to acquire the correct thread for it. If he could not fix it, he said he would not charge us. We know he went the extra mile to acquire the thread needed and was able to fix it all within 2 weeks of us dropping it off. Plus he was able to clean the carpet stains and remove the urine smell completely. Our dogs have not soiled it again since we got it back! Again, excellent service with quality work at a comparable price!

The gentleman who came to my house was wonderful. He was by himself and i wondered how he was going to get the carpet out. (when he came returned the carpet he came with help) He was very efficient and informative. And both he and his helper were extremely friendly and polite. I enjoyed working with them. He even looked at the other oriental carpets in my house and told me what type of carpets they were, an estimate of their value and even how to manage sun damage. He recommended a few things, but not did not seem to be looking to boost the bill.

Excellent job cleaning a very dirty rug and I can't smell any pet urine on the rug anymore. Highly recommended and worth every penny for any expensive rug. Very friendly, quick and helpful. Estimate was exactly same as the final price.

Mr. Monjan (owner of Main Street rugs) had been referred to us by our regular carpet cleaners. I called Mr. Monhan on Monday after the Saturday party and he picked up the rug that night. He assured me that he would get the rug clean, or I wouldn't have to pay his fee. He said it would take 2 weeks, but it actually took 4 weeks for the rug to be returned to us. But... we are THRILLED with how our old stained rug looks. It actually looks new and we are so happy that we waited so patiently for Mr. Monjan to finish his work.

All of the rugs turned out very well, including the stained one. The proprietor made sure to unroll all of them in the store when I picked them up so I could examine them. The work was done very well. I was also very impressed with how knowledgeable they were as to my specific rugs origins and quality. Highly recommend.

It was a great experience, providing all the options I was looking for. The rugs were really well cleanned, I was stunned with how much better the rug with pet stains looked. The rugs were cleanned in the time frame estimated, and I was pleased with how little time it would take. I choose the option of dropping the rugs off, and picking them up myself, it is a cheaper option. The personnel at the store did a great job helping me get the rugs to and from my car. Folding the rugs in a way to make them easier to carry. I also was able to easily and reasonably buy a rug pad for one of my rugs, that didn't have one. I was really pleased, and felt that my experience lived up to what I had read in the reviews.

Excellent from start to finish. Mojan Bagha, the owner, is a thorough professional and an absolute pleasure to deal with. I called Main Street because of its high ratings on Angie's List and elsewhere. Mojan was very helpful on the phone and gave me an estimated price, which was fair by comparison with other businesses. He estimated that the work would take two weeks but finished in a week and a half. He was readily available by telephone. The work was done on site at his Ellicott City store. The results were stunning. The carpets have never looked so good. I highly recommend.

They were wonderful. It is the best place around to get an Oriental rug. It is the most amazing place. He actually let me bring rugs home in my car to try them in my room. He let me take as many as I wanted. He had piles and piles of rugs in his showroom and we must have looked at hundreds of rugs. He spent a lot of time finding the size and color rug I wanted. I just went in with paint chips and told him what I wanted and he knew where the rugs were. His price was very good and he was a really good guy. I was in and out of the shop three or four times.

Excellent - my mother has an old Chinese rug that desperately needed cleaning. Pet odor, stains, etc. The company laundered the rug multiple times until it looked like new.

They were an A. I was pleased with the work they did.

When I took the rug to the store for cleaning, I was also able to find an antique Persian rug with similar colors, which I purchased for what I believe was a good price. The rugs were delivered to my home, along with rug pads, and laid in place. Both the store's owner and the salesman, who also made the delivery, were very professional and courteous, and I must say patient in helping me search through their large selection of rugs.

I live near this merchant, and I like to support local businesses, so I didn't get other estimates, plus my neighbor recommended them as well, having done a nice job on her small oriental carpet. I stopped by, got an estimate, then brought the carpets in on the weekend. They were done right on time, and when I came to pick them up, I also brought an antique oriental, hoping I could get the story behind it. The owner told me where it was from, when it was made and gave me an appraisal. I am extremely satisfied with the cleaning and repair of my rugs, and wish I had more floor space so I could have some of their gorgeous carpets in my home. I will definitely use them again.
