I needed crawlspace and basement mold remediation and waterproofing. I couldn't be happier with the work Basement systems USA did. Completely satisfied and would recommend to anyone who needs a basement job done right!

After interviewing a variety of companies to help us out with our water issue in our crawl space, we decided to schedule the work with Pete Westera's Basement System's USA in North East MD and we are so happy with our decision. From the first phone conversation with Tina Reaves (production manager) who scheduled our free estimate, to the estimate appointment with Tim Schlegel (inspector), to the day the work was completed by Jordan (lead technician) and Nate (assistant technician) the experience was a pleasant one. Tina was informative and easy to talk to. Tim was very down to earth, you felt like you could have him over for coffee. He explained everything in great detail and I didn't feel like I was talking to an obnoxious sales guy. He cared about our issues and fixing them the right way and the cost effective way. It was refreshing to have him break down all the parts/equipment to decided what was worth spending the money on and what we could stand to forego while still solving our problem. He created a blueprint on his laptop in our kitchen and explained every detail. He allowed us a few days to make our decision just as we told him that we need and he wasn't pushy with the follow up, but still kept in touch. His personality, attitude and sales tactics were a huge selling factor in the reason that we selected this company. We also loved the idea that the company and the owner were local to our area and that the own was a preacher. They also have an excellent warranty that covers the life of the structure making it comforting to know that the warranty can transfer through multiple owners without any "fine print" snags. They originally had the next available install date about 30 days from the day we received the estimate. Due to our busy life schedule, a honeymoon, and the upcoming cold weather we were in a time crunch and requested to have it done in 2 weeks. Tim and Tina made some calls and made it happen, again helping us out big time. The week before the install we were out of the country on our Honeymoon and I communicated with Tina asking that she reach out to my Mom in the event of any last minute changes, she made a note on the account and everything went smoothly. The install crew arrived on time and the lead Jordan was excellent at communicating with me from the time that they arrived to the house, to excellent detailed description of what they we actually doing as they performed the work, to the time they took a brief lunch break and the follow up the following day when he had to return to finish the drain outside. They were both very courteous, they worked very hard all day, they were easy to talk to and maintained a very clean work environment both inside and outside of my home as they completed this project. The company also offers a financing option of up to 6 months with 0% interest which was very appealing to help us pay off this project in a timely manner without racking up another high interest home project credit card. From start to finish we couldn't be happier. Now 5 days post install I am happy to report that our system is operating properly and it was well worth the money (a very competitive price I might add) to have the piece of mind to know that we received quality workmanship and to no longer have the fear of further expensive water damage or cringing every time that it rains. We had a SUMP PUMP installed outside a basement door to stop water from coming in door. There were a few â  rockyâ  moments with the 1st installer (& the dispatcher) but the owner of this company.. Pete Westera... stands behind his work 100%. & fixed everything with a second installer to exceed our expectations.

As someone who has dreaded going to the basement for 20 years, I am now incredibly thrilled with how dry and clean the space has become thanks to the excellent work by Gary, Benjamin, and Edgar at Basement Systems USA in Elkton, MD. These men were polite, respectful of everyone is time, left the place cleaner than they found it, and were thorough! Each step was carefully explained to me and confirmed throughout the process. There are no more ugly, mold-stained walls or beams; water runoff outside the house was diverted; and a new, size-appropriate sump pump and dehumidifier were successfully installed. Our basement needed assurance that the existing sump pump could handle rising water levels under our home. It was recommended that we install a second sump pump alongside the existing one, with piping exiting water discharge to the outside. The Installer (Mr. Bernard W.) took care of everything in a very professional manner. His work was superb, especially clean and cosmetic in every respect. Thank you for your superior services!

After a long night of manually pumping water out after a power outage rendered our sump pump useless, we hired this company to install a new sump pump pit with a waterproof housing and install a second pump and a battery back up. This was in 2012 and we have never had another sleepless night manually pumping again. Jorge, the installer completed the job quickly and professionally. Since then, they have been back to service and maintenance our entire sump pump system and Jorge always comes. I appreciate that they send the person who installed the system because he knows what to look for. They have honored their warranty and we were able to transfer the remaining warranty to a new buyer after we recently sold the home.

My house is located in a wet area and I always have water coming into my crawlspace, even if it hasn't rained in several weeks. The moisture issues are compounded by the presence of iron ocher, which would cause the trench drain and sump pit in my crawlspace to clog and overflow unless I crawled back into it and treated it with bleach/chlorine every week. Basement Systems suggested a plan to install a new drainage system and relocate my sump to an area that would be much easier to access and maintain. They upgraded the existing sump pump to a triple safe system with three pumps (including a battery backup!) so I have multiple redundancies in place to prevent flooding. They also wrapped my crawlspace with a heavy duty vapor barrier to keep all of that moisture from permeating up through my house. I couldn't have been happier with Javier and his crew, and my wife had no qualms about having them in our house while I was away at work. They called me several times to communicate their schedule, and took care to protect the flooring on the main level of my house. Javier was more than willing to work with me to route the sump discharge pipes in the area I wanted them. He and his crew worked very hard and put in extra hours to have the job completed on schedule in two days even though they ran into several unexpected issues. I couldn't be happier with the quality of work, the professionalism of the crew, and the integrity of company, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Basement Systems to anyone.

Needed my basement dry quickly and not too expensive. I had these guys come out and do it. The price was very reasonable and they were done in a day and a half. I have had several rainstorms now and my basement is dry. I am very happy with the work. I would highly recommend this company.

I had water coming into my basement from somewhere and I figured it was from a glass block window. Basement Systems USA came out and looked in the basement and at the window from the outside to discover there was no drain in the well and the water was filling up the well from underneath because the water had no where to go and then found its way into the basement. They drilled a hole from the the window into the basement. They attached a channel to the wall and installed a french drain leading to the sump pump. A new, stronger sump pump was installed. Luckily, I got the work done before the rain came the next day. The next day it rained and the basement was dry. Morgan explained the system to me after all the work was done. The work was done neatly and cleanly.

Wow...the MoldX cleaner with Sani Dry XP air system changed the odor of my old basement 100%. The representative for Basement Systems USA was thorough and the application got the job done. Thank you for the excellent service! My only regret is that I didn't contact this business sooner.

Love this company and the work they do! They repaired a leaking crack in our basement. Work was done quickly and efficiently and we haven't had any issues since! Crew was great! Basement systems USA was prompt to respond to my initial phone call. They provided us with lots of options and pricing based on our financial situation and current problem situation. The person who came out to evaluate our basement and explain the products was very nice and took his time to make sure we understood everything. The work was done on time and completed according to the contract without any issues. The workers did their work but were courteous and cleaned up all the mess before leaving. The drain has kept our basement very dry up to this point (however we have had no major floods or hurricanes)

Basement Systems USA is a great company. I never write reviews but I have to say I was so happy with the work they performed in my basement. I had extreme water damage behind the walls of my finished basement that was never seen by the home inspector a few years back. Over the last year every time it rained I would have small amount of water on my basement floor. Finally in a large rain storm our basement flooded. I called Basement Systems USA and Dave Ryan came to my house, did a full inspection and found the problem areas. His crew came out lead by the foreman Estaban and three days later I have a dry and smell free basement. The installers were great, hardworking and professional. I can't recommend this company enough and I am finally happy I can use my basement!

I had Basement Systems USA put an egress window in my basement, so I could use the space as a bedroom. Every step of the process was a pleasure. I contacted 5 companies and only Basement Systems USA sent out a sales person to look over the job before giving me a quote. After setting up financing and scheduling the job, Basement Systems USA sent out a crew led by a foreman named Esteban. The crew had to work both inside and outside of my home while I was working from home. The crew was extremely professional. They left NOTHING around, or inside, my home when they left and other than some noise I couldn't even tell they were there. I would recommend this company and this crew to anybody looking to have work done around their home.

We had an exterior drain installed at our basement door along with a Super Sump pump. LOVE, LOVE, LOVE BASEMENT SYSTEMS USA! From the time Tim Schlegel first walked into my house to give me an estimate until Jorge completed the final punch list adjustments, I knew that Basement Systems USA was the right choice to for the new room in my basement. Tim patiently explained the process that would take place from start to finish in complete detail. No questions were left unanswered. After we signed the contract, the initial meeting took place with the entire crew who would be working on the project (including the electrical and plumbing subcontractors). They were punctual and re measured and discussed all aspects of the job with us and told us essentially the time line for how things would progress. Fortunately we were assigned what I am sure is unquestionably Basement System USA's best carpentry team of Esteban Morales and Miguel Luna. Each workday Esteban courteously called me 30 minutes before their arrival at my home. They worked compatibly and as quietly as possible. Any questions/changes I posed were politely accommodated. They left the job site broom cleaned each day. They efficiently completed the job with no complications to my complete satisfaction. Dave Ryan, the shop manager was readily available for questions and adjustments by phone or email. He was always friendly and courteous and made sure that my wishes were taken care of without question. If I ever decide to complete the rest of my basement there is absolutely no doubt that I will hire Basement Systems USA again. I would not even consider hiring any other company. Work was completed on-time and on-schedule. 3-man installation crew installed new Triple Sump Pump and rebuilt 30'x25' French Drain in two days. They are hard-working, courteous and highly skilled.

We called the professionals at Basement Systems USA after we saw our wall starting to crack from moisture. After much research for a company we found their information and plenty of wonderful reviews (all true). We called to set up an appointment and the gentleman Scott Beard we spoke to was extremely polite and very accommodating. He came out the next day. He was extremely through and was at the house two hours performing an extremely detailed review of the damage. Hi write up was very precise and specific and the estimate we received was fair and right on the money. He was just a very friendly and sociable person and we knew right away that we wanted to hire them for the job. We called him next day and he promptly sent the contract over. The contract was very straightforward and fair and the required deposit was very reasonable. I liked that they didn't expect full payment until the job was done, inspected and approved by all parties. As soon as the contract was signed and the down payment was confirmed they got our appointment set up with the foreman for him and his team to come out immediately. Sean Ryan and his crew were extremely professional, friendly and punctual. They showed up on time, laid plastic down to prevent tracking dirt in (we have carpeting), covered the furniture in the effected area and kept their equipment in one place to avoid clutter. The job was supposed to be done in one day but once they got behind the wall they found additional damage and black mold. Even though this was not part of the original problem (understandable since you can't predict what you will find behind the wall), they offered to eliminate the mold and make the additional necessary repairs. The price for the additional work was also very reasonable. Even better was that they said they would get everything done without having to make another appointment for the new project at a later date if they didn't mind them coming back the next day (Saturday). They worked until dark and got the majority of the work completed. As promised they came back on time the next day and finished the additional work promptly. They did a good job cleaning up and made sure we were happy with the work. The wall looks great (I want to do the whole basement like that now) and the sub pump is working great. We have had no more moisture or water damage. Needless to say we are happy with the final product and appreciate their professionalism and concern with our needs. They went above and beyond (especially by coming out on a weekend to fix an unexpected problem) to get the work done in a timely fashion and with great results. They also have electronic equipment (i.e. iPad) to print out paperwork and take payments which makes it easy if you don't like writing checks.
