Extremely satisfy with this company, very quick to respond as oppose to other top rated companies in Angie List. Brian and Mike were very quick and provided all the necessary information for this small project. Only offered what was needed and did not tried to sell extra services. The two-men crew arrived on time, were very respectful, and completed the job perfectly. They were extra careful with the recently painted walls and covered the wooden floor to avoid any scratches. I highly recommend this company for any insulation projects. Very glad I chose this company over the top competitors.

I apologize for the long review but others need to see what we dealt with with this company and also know we have seen no significant change in our electric bill. We first contacted USA insulation through Angie's list because we were hoping for a positive experience. We had 7 other companies give quotes for the job and we chose the company with the highest reviews and what we thought to be the best product. Although their prices were higher than our other quotes we thought we would have peace of mind due to the reviews and getting what you pay for. We were wrong. The process: The gentleman began drilling the holes with no real process other than guessing the location of studs in the wall. After the holes were drilled a second man follows with the hose "filling" the holes. The gentleman explained that I was welcome to check the work as they began filling so I did for a couple of minutes and then left them to work. As the time ticked by I walked up and noticed a few missed areas of in the house. I asked the guys to check it out and they assured me they would. They drilled holes in the areas and assured me they would be filled. They follow by spackeling the holes and cleaning. Customer service: after the work was completed we asked that they return to fill a few missed areas. The company retuned two weeks later and we showed them problem areas and made them drill additional holes only to find that the entire exterior wall of the house was empty. We are now unsure of how much of the house was treated in this manor. Furious, with the situation we asked to speak with the owner about a partial refund. His response was that they would refund a "reasonable" amount that would not affect their profit on the deal and that we would have to agree not to leave a bad review. Aside from the cost of Dust/clean up: The company was prompt in their arrival and began work immediately by putting down plastic through the house. I was pleased to see this until they removed it during clean up and fired up the broken shop vac. As they started the cleanup the vac that clearly had no filter started blowing dust all through the house. Despite my prompt that the shop vac was broken, the gentleman continued to use it through the rest of the house. Also during cleanup the other two workers left the house for a 2 hour period leaving the one gentleman to conduct the entire cleanup. He walked through the house spraying simple green on hard surfaces but doing nothing for the carpet we recently installed or any other bedding, curtains, couches or other soft materials that had just been coated in debris. When the other worker returned he walked in and handed me a lead abatement pamphlet saying that USA was a certified lead contractor and then passed me the paperwork saying they had completed the work without checking cleanup had been finished. I refused to sign the lead pamphlet and had to make them stay to finish clean up. Update* Following a further inspection we checked the work to find additional spaces where foam had broken down and completely dissipated. We contacted the branch manager Brian Seligman. When we spoke with him he was more combative this time and exclaimed that if we wanted the work to be complete we would have to sign a non disclosure agreement that prohibited us from posting any review and also sign out of any further work within our contract. This was unacceptable to us and after numerous phone calls about the matter we contacted corporate. USA insulation took care of the matter and sent out different workers and told us not to speak with Brian again. The new workers came out and had us watch their work and reassured results would come. To their credit corporate USA insulation was great to work with and backed the customer over their franchise but the overall process was terrible.

Went great. The guys arrived on time. The blew the insulation in and cleaned up after themselves. I would hire them again.

Everything went smoothly, on time and without issue. I can't say if the price is competitive as we didn't get other estimates for the work.

Everything went to plan. The workers arrived 15 minutes early and waited outside (it was before 9am) until I went to tell them they could start whenever they were ready. They were very courteous and cleaned up after they were finished.

We had three estimates to add insulation to our attic. This company was not the least expensive, but matched a lower estimate from a top competitor. We chose this company because of the discussion that we had with the company owner who provided the estimate, and because of the reviews that have been posted about their prior work. The workers arrived on time, as scheduled. They were careful to add covering to help protect our newly added hardwood floors. The group was efficient, had an onsite supervisor who checked the work as it progressed, and completed the work timely. During my inspection of the work, I noted that there were some cracks on the master bedroom ceiling, which were not there before (we had the room recently painted as it was a new home purchase). We were informed that periodically, the weight of people walking in the attic can add pressure to the ceiling sheetrock which reflects later with cracks. The site supervisor called the owner, and informed me that they would ensure that the ceiling would be repaired. The owner called me quickly thereafter and assured me that he would not "leave us hanging" with the issue and would have someone take care of the ceiling repair. I paid the bill in full, a short time later, I was contacted by the owner who provided the name of a sub-contractor who he hired to repair the ceiling. The sub-contractor arrived to the home at our scheduled time to make the repair. After the repair was completed, there are no signs of damage. We are overall very happy with how the company conducted the work, their matching of the competitor's quote, and with their outstanding customer service in following up with the issue in the ceiling. The company was thorough and professional. We do not hesitate to recommend this company and would hire them in the future for similar work.

Everything would've been much better if the contractor came out to my house and gave me the opportunity to ask questions. There were times when I called them because I had questions but there was no response. I found out the contractor was in an accident so I understand. With the lack of response from the company I ended up getting a discount for the service. The workers did a great job and cleaned up everything, I have no complaints about them. I hope that the next person that works with this company gets the opportunity to discuss their needs with the company and that the contractor shows up to their residence.

Overall went fairly well, however I had some difficulty w/installer explaining some things & sometimes hard to understand what he was conveying.

It went very well. The cost, their prices were very reasonable. The crew replacing the insulation was kind, efficient, and very tidy/clean in our home. I was really glad Mike who came out to give the estimate did not try and over sell on work to be done. Folks in the office were very attentive as well.

This was lowest of 3 estimates, estimator was on time extremely professional and answered all questions. Workmen arrived on time, knew exactly what they were Dongank went right to work, work site was spotless when they left.

The USA insulation team did a good job within the timeframe estimated. The team was very knowledgeable and did a good job with the insulation placement and were careful not to cause any unecessary damage to the home. We were disappointed to learn that instead of an outside install of the insulation (under the vinyl siding), that couldn't be done because of asbestos siding underneath. We had to gear up for a interior wall placement of the foam insulation, which requires a lot of sanding, painting, moving/covering furniture, and time. In either case, I'm glad it has been done finally; it was long overdue for this old house. I would recommend this company to anyone; they are very quick to respond and even offer financing if you need it.

It went well. We were very satisfied! I rated them with an A overall but just fair on the responsiveness, as it took many messages to get a call back on some follow up questions. And they still owe me a final receipt. Job well done though!

From beginning all went well. Estimator showed up on time for quote. Scheduling was easy. Crew showed up on time and were very professional. Put down tarps to protect carpets. I had some questions on baffles & all were answered. Cleanup was good. Would use again & will for our house!

A mechanical failure resulted in rescheduling two weeks out the crew ever left the shop and owner called immediately to relay the news. When the crew did show up they were punctual polite and professional. Setup to protect the floor and remove all debris as they left. Job well done.

From start to finish, this was a very positive experience. I found USA Insulation here on AL and they had excellent reviews. I used their website to schedule an estimate at the end of February. Mike called me and set up an appointment and arrived promptly at the appointed time. He was friendly and courteous. I took him around to the bedroom that we were experiencing really cold/hot temps and I asked that he take a look in the main attic to give me an estimate on raising the R-value as the upstairs was constantly hot in the summer (and the kids' bedrooms needed space heaters in the winter). He explained the process of the installation and my options regarding types of insulation and the different R-value levels. He provided me an on the spot price. I thanked him and he went on his way. Later that month, he sent me an email informing me they were having an end-of-month special. We were in the midst of preparing for a new baby and I didn't get a chance to touch base with him until the second week of March but he was able to still give me the sale price. We booked for early April. On the day of the install, the two man crew arrived at the appointed time and I walked the lead guy (wish I could remember his name!) up to the attic access and showed him where he could run his insulation blowing hose through a window. He explained how he would prep the site (cover the bed with plastic and lay out canvas drop cloths to walk over and protect the carpets), donned his Tyvek suit/respirator and then set to work. Six hours later (SIX!) he came down and asked if i would like to check out the attic. I climbed up and saw a sea of blown insulation that was neatly level, new measurement sticks and a nicely build "retaining wall" of batting in all the locations it was needed. He explained that this was a huge job. The estimate was for 22 bails, they put extra on but because he's been on these jobs before he threw a couple of extra bails "just in case". He ended up using 29. He explained there were parts of the attic where NO insulation had been before (particularly over one of the bedrooms and bathrooms). Thanks Miller and Smith... That was job one, and on to the next, the knee wall install of batting. There are two access points, twenty feet up. They scampered up and knocked it out in an hour or so. This time, he took pictures to show me their work as I wasn't climbing up 20 feet (i'm not a ladder guy). They cleaned up quickly and went on their way. Very cheerful, very professional and very good at what they do. I would recommend them to anyone looking to have insulation done on their home. It's been a couple of weeks with crazy Virginia spring weather (snow, ice, mid-80s, back to the 30's) and I've been keeping an eye on my Nest thermostat. I'm already seeing a noticeable difference in the amount the HVAC system operates, down to a couple of hours a day (some days not at all) from running all day. The true test will be this summer, but I'm pretty confident this did the trick. The uncomfortable bedroom no longer needs the space heater and it's not sweltering on the hotter days thus far.

They did a excellent job and even discounted the price $250, when they realized that they did not have to go through the wall in the bathroom upstairs and could complete the job via the ceiling in the garage. The crew was very professional and the repair of the holes made in the ceiling were performed in an excellent fashion. They also did a great job cleaning up after themselves. With the freeze and Blizzard that subsequently came, the bathroom was significantly warmer and the pipes did not freeze. Overall, a job well-done and my wife and I are completely satisfied. We would recommend USA Insulation to anyone without reservations.
