USA Inslulation reinsulated attic crawl spaces and knee walls. Estimator came out and was very knowledgable and recommended appropriate insulation for the job. He arrived on time, was pleasant to work with, and provided other energy savings tips. Work included removing old insluation that had fallen down, air sealing, insulaltion baffles, blown in fiberglass and fiberglass batts on the knee walls. The insulation technicians were knowledgeable and conciencious and worked efficietly to complete the job. They put paper tape measures in the blown in section which indicates the depth. The area was cleaned up nicely when done. Office staff was friendly and returned my call with additional information when they said they would. Overall summary - a good value, a job well done, and good people to work with.

Hired USA Insulation to insulate the attic of my 1958 rancher. Job went off without a hitch. Had 20 inches of blown insulation put in the attic along with an extra layer over all the duct work in the attic. Crew arrived on time, was courteous and cleaned up before they left. Working with USA Insulation was a great experience and I would definitely recommend them.

Fantastic experience with USA Insulation. From our first meeting with Paul (consultant) and our contacts with Loretta, to the installation of the insulation (Carmello and Elizar) things couldn't have gone more smoothly. Contracted with them to add 17 inches of blown in insulation to come up to code in HoCo (house built in 1972). Had to delay insulation because of an addition being built since our contractor needed clear access to the attic in main house. Advised company who graciously held the contract open for us. Maintained contact with Loretta (who is exceptional and a pleasure to talk to) and once addition was finished was able to promptly (re)schedule the installation. Installers arrived promptly, explained everything to us in detail and even showed us before/after pictures of work performed. Both gentlemen were friendly, professional and courteous. Left work area cleaner than when they arrived (thorough vacuum of work and surrounding areas). Most pleased with the work performed. Looking forward to a more energy efficient home.

The experience with USA Insulation was very positive from start to finish. From the first call, the owner, Brian, spent time discussing my questions about the company’s services and insulation products. Mike came on time for an estimate and also helpfully discussed our questions about cutting into a plaster ceiling, what would happen if asbestos or animal intrusion were discovered, covering light fixtures and other initial install work, R-levels, insulation types, etc. After getting quotes from two other well-reviewed and professional companies, we had follow-up questions for Mike about foam insulation and caulk to seal potential cracks and openings, which he helpfully answered by email. Mike was always quick to say what extra services that we would not benefit from. USA Insulation does not install access hatches after cutting a ceiling access point, unlike the other two companies. However, USA Insulation gave the most competitive bid at the outset, and gave us confidence about how they would handle anything unexpected and stay close to their estimate. Because they are popular, they could not come to Northwest DC for a couple of weeks after we decided to move forward. They were worth the wait. The two-person crew that came arrived on time, were very professional tidy, and patiently walked through my questions confirming the products being used, R-levels, light covers, and letting me take a look and take photos at each work stage. They covered floors and furniture before starting, and took out debris and vacuumed once they finished. They also installed some insulation in our basement where we had done some plumbing work behind the walls. When I asked them to add as much R-19 insulation that could fit between the pipes and wall, they obliged and carefully tucked as much as they could – a process that included contorting into awkward spaces to insert the insulation. Because our attic’s roofline and beams prevented the team from installing 4 out of the 6 light covers, Brian reduced the final cost. It has been a week since the insulation was installed, and we are pleased with the comfort of our room temperature now. We are very pleased with USA Insulation’s services.

Very well. The estimator even crawled up into my attic to give a good estimate. The crew was polite and worked quickly. There was a minimum of dust. The price was very fair.

They installed my insulation today and I could immediately tell the difference in the temperature of my home. I had insulation installed in two attics(split level home) and crawl space. A three man team was sent. They were professional, they offered a higher quality of work at 2/3 the price of competitors. I would definitely recommend them to a friend. They got the work done in one day, were very respectful, polite, and professional. We had a noticeable difference in the temperature of our upstairs and reduction in our energy bills.

We are very pleased by the work done by USA Insulation. The workers came on time and worked hard to get the job done well and efficiently. They laid a cloth down and were meticulous about cleaning up after themselves. Before closing up the attic access, the men showed me what they had done. There was a huge difference! The contractor came to my home promptly to perform an inspection of my attic and develop a written quote. Once the contract was signed, the work performance date was established within a matter of dates. The workers arrived on time; worked with all deliberate speed; invited me to inspect the attic; and cleaned up all debris and left. I was remiss in not asking to visually verify the installation of the airseal boxes before all the insulation was installed.

It went well, the crew was wonderful, extremely hard working, and courteous. Some unexpected issues arose during the project, but solutions were found and the job completed to my complete satisfaction. I would hire them again.

In all regards this was an excellent experience. We needed to have new insulation put into the walls of our home which was built in the 1940's and into a finished attic including behind knee walls and above an attic ceiling. We received a solid estimate which was professionally provided, covered all aspects of the desired work, and was within our budget. Their communications with us were good so that we knew what was going to be done and when. It was a 2 day job. Both days the team arrived on time, worked hard, and left only after cleaning up after themselves. The head of the crew who did our work was nicknamed Lalo(?). If you have USA Insulation do a job for you, then you might want to request him. He was really outstanding going above and beyond with his effort to do everything well. It is impossible to list all of the little things he did to make sure that the job was done correctly, totally satisfactorily, and with minimal mess. Oh that I wish more contractors were like these guys. In my opinion, you would be nuts to consider any other company to do your insulating work, based on what Lalo did for us. I have looked at some recommendations for contractors in the past from Angies List and the work they did turned out to be bad, including one nightmare. I was cautious about trying Angies list again for a recommendation. This time it worked out much better than I ever expected. Angies List owes a debt of gratitude to USA insulation for making me a believer again.

At first fine until cold weather came upon us and the garage and the room above are still cold towards the front. We tried calling week the week of Christmas, no return call, gave them the benefit of the doubt because of the holiday, but when the next call has not been returned, says it all. We have let several messages for Mike Doolittle after insulation and he has yet to call us back, one would think 4 weeks is plenty of time to return a call. We are experiencing issues with the job that more than likely could have easily been resolved amicably if calls had been returned. UPDATED: they can out and "reinsulated" Room is still cold. I do not think they used the proper R Factor insulation.

Excellent. I ran poor Mehran through the wringer. He gave me an estimate of what was needed to insulate my house then waited for six months while i checked out other companies and got estimates. This included trying to work with the energy audit program which turned out to be a huge bust (twice). USA Insulation offered so much more for a lot less money than the competitors (his price was 1/3 of the energy program contractor). I was very pleased with the solutions Mehran offered to my insulation issues and the price at which he offered them. He was always very respectful and answered my questions. The installers were pleasant and professional, did a high quality job, reviewed their work with me at the end, and then left my house as it was before they arrived. They even helped me fix an issue that another contractor had left behind. I am very happy I used USA Insulation.

The company could have put more effort in the communications department - This is a step by step review - Sent Email requesting proposal Received a very prompt response Signed contract Nov 1, 2017 Attempted to refer my friend on Nov 2, Never received a return call - went on line asking for a response. Had my work done Nov 30 My Friend signed a contract and had the work done Dec 11 Work was fine. USA fell short -- No Thank your for the referral, no phone call from the sales person or company asking if everything went fine. No thank you for your business, and according to their web site would be entitled to a "attic Insulation referral" and have heard nothing. Over all the company did what I consider a good job on the actual work, but seem to lack the effort to say Thank you I appreciate your business and thank you for the referral. This company has a good reputation with Angie's list, that I why I selected them. All they need to do remember the satisfied company

First of all, be aware that the coupon offered on this website will not apply to other USA Insulation companies, like Central Maryland at Elkridge. But they do still offer you discounts and/or financing. Crew was very professional and everything went great. I can't tell the difference yet but I am sure it will be better as we didn't have any insulation before. Be aware that you will need painting work if they need to drill from inside for wall insulation.

The process was very smooth and everything went well. The workers were neat and cleaned up after themselves. I did find a couple of pieces of foam here and there, but they wouldn't have known to look (like in the basement, strangely enough). Also some of the foam may have leaked out after they finished, I don't know. Before the job, the back of our house was comfortable, but as you walked the hallway toward the front, especially in the winter, the temperature change was extreme. The rooms in the front were also much colder in the winter. After the work was done, we still notice a difference in the hallway (not as obvious). There is no vent in the hallway, so that could be part of the problem. The good new is that the rooms in the front are noticeably warmer. When the estimator came, he checked our attic and said that we only had 2 inches of insulation! I think he said the standard is 18 inches. The offers included insulating the attic only ($2,760), the walls only ($5,200), or both ($6,275). Our house is one level and about 1,800 sf, so I opted for both.

Crew arrived early as scheduled, provided protective floor coverings, responded to requests made during insulating process. Finished insulation covering looked good and evenly distributed to depth as contracted.
