Description of Work: They blew in insulation into my attic. They were efficient and talked me through the process and cleaned up afterwards.

Description of Work: We had them blow insulation into the attic and blow foam insulation into one outside wall and the ceiling of the garage. Being that there is a room over the garage that we were trying to improve its livability, these two things really helped.

From calling to finished insulation was done in less than a week. Helped with our summer heat issues and I have recommended them to neighbors and friends.

Description of Work: Bought the big deal. s/w provider who stated this service wasn't very effective for my house. suggested i contact you for refund. provider was very professional and honest.

Description of Work: Deal did not cover town-homes. USA Insulation handled this issue very professional. When I'm ready, I will use this company.

Description of Work: The salesperson was right on top of everything, the workers were very good. The only negative was they were suppose to arrive between 11:30am-2pm, call when they were on the way. They arrived at 10:30am with no advance call. I did not realize that with that much insulation in the attic (18inches) that storage became limited to a small area around the opening. Would recommend again!

Description of Work: Had USA insulate my attic and crawlspace. Shopped them against another company on Angie's and one not in Angie's. The one not in Angie's didn't return my call. The other one in Angie's seemed like a good company, but USA was cheaper by a couple hundred dollars. USA came when they said the would and were professional as they did the work. The only thing I didn't like was the salesman asking for 10 percent up front at the time of the sale. The previous week I had a tree trimming company do some work who didn't ask for a security deposit and previous contractors I had in other states never asked. I just moved to northern Virginia, so this may be the norm here. I went ahead and took the chance by paying the deposit because of the great feedback from Angie's customers: It worked out fine.

Description of Work: Rick came to our home to check if our attic was sufficiently insulated. He arrived right on time and check our insulation and determined adding more insulation would not improve the cooling in our home. He did not charge us for the visit and was very honest about not needing the work done. I would recommend them to anyone.

Description of Work: USA Insulation added new natural fiber blown in insulation to our attic. It was about 18" deep over existing old insulation. Added covers for our light fixtures and created a air block around the attic steps to keep cold/hot air from coming downstairs. They also added expandable foam insulation to all of our exterior walls. The job took about 6 hours for our entire house. They were very courteous and punctual. The sales people were able to work with us on financing which helped a lot. We also received an Angie's List discount. Our heating and cooling bills have really gone down since we had the new insulation installed. They did a great job!

Description of Work: Did not have the service done. I did not read the fine print and they do not do insullation in Townhomes, but the gentleman was very nice and apologized. I think if they could have done the work I would have been very pleased.

Description of Work: I am thrilled with the insulation from USA Insulation! My balloon frame house had NO insulation in the walls, so trying to close gaps wasnt making much difference. The USA insulation was the right product for my house and great to deal with Brian and his team. We had a challenging scheduling because I was trying to work with an energy auditor. They fell through but Brian made it right for me. My house is a different house this winter - no more drafts slicing across rooms or the stairs. I have turned down my thermostat, turned off a radiator in a room that had two, and dont need a heated mattress pad or layers of clothes to stay warm. What a difference that's all goodness. The additional sound insulation is just as much of a treat. I could hear the difference as the foam was installed. It's like noise-cancelling headphones for my 100+ year old house. Only regret is that I didnt know what a difference this would be to do this sooner.
