The company called ahead and let us know the technician was on the way (Great customer service), and gate us an estimated time of arrival. The technician came at the estimated time. He listened very well as I described the problem and the explanation of the previous tech. from another company. He was very thorough in diagnosing the complex problem. He explained all of his steps and answered my questions. He resolved the problem.

I was very impressed. Bill explained everything in detail. And unlike some people, he was only interested in making repairs and not in selling me products. I was also impressed because I only just called them this morning and set up an appointment for Monday but this afternoon they called me and said they had a man in the area and could come over then if I preferred. How often does that happen?

Electrician showed up on time and was very courteous and pleasant. He found the problems by doing careful diagnostic procedures and solved both issues. The problems were due to the original aluminum wiring in the house and subsequent bad remedies to earlier problems by incompetent technicians. Very happy with the results. I recommend Kolb Electric highly and will definitely use them again if needed.

I did not use them but they had the lowest price of those companies that bid on the job. They were prompt.

I believe that the provider did everything that was required by the description of the deal, but feel that I did a bad job of determining just what would be done and that the provider failed to alert me to an issue that might have made me not buy this deal. Specifically, I did not check to see if the fan was an extra quiet fan before buying the deal. It was not, but is acceptable. The second issue was that the provider asked me when making the appointment to tell them the size of the existing hole in the drywall of the ceiling of the bathroom. I provide the dimensions accurately and nothing further was said. However, when the fan was installed the "face plate" did not cover all of the existing hole and I had to bring in a drywall person to put in a patch to reduce the size of the hole to avoid having a gap of an inch or so between the edge of the fan cover plate and the edge of the hole in the ceiling. By that time it was too late to do anything else, but had I been alerted to this possibility I would have either tried to negotiate use of a different model fan that fit the hole or would have gone to another supplier for such a fan.

The technician was courteous, fast and professional. The best part was that one off their competitors (David Williams Electric) wanted $350 - $400 to do the same job that Kolb Electric did for $127.

They were very efficient and punctual, and prompt with the work.

I use them all the time. Service was excellent. We were worried that the original installation had not been done to code. He checked it and was, so it was a clean swap out. They quoted us over $200 and it ended up be $180. I have used them through out the years. I have used them in the past to swap out lights and additional outdoor outlet. I have been using them for 18 years. They are courteous and they do things the right way and they are very clean. They clean up afterwards and we never have had a problem with their work. I think that their price is average for licensed electricians. I will continue to use them.

The electrician was very pleasant and professional. He explained everything he was doing and why. The finished job was very neat.

They were able to come out promptly. It went really well.

Kolb is extremely responsive. The Association had several revisions and comments regarding Kolb's original proposal. Kolb was patient, made suggestions, and revised the proposal (several times) to meet our concerns. We also had some serious existing electrical problems. But, Kolb jumped in and suggested a solution that worked for us. They did the installation/repairs on time. I can't speak for the entire Association, but I coordinated the lighting renovation with Kolb and I am extremely pleased. Can't wait to use them again!

They came out to do the project but the hole in the ceiling was much larger than the fan they were going to install. We decided to have them replace an outlet instead. They did not offer to apply the credit for the deal but I have asked for a refund for the purchase price of the deal.

Pros Fan works well Cons Contractor was 45 mins late We were not told about the 3 large holes that would be left in our ceiling - the contract only made mention of damage and we presumed that meant accidental damage to our property The external vent was not flush with wall and there was no caulking so we worried about water leaking in from outside The contractor did try to address our concern by adding roofing caulk The bathroom is not clean. I wish I could share my photos with you. We probably need to spend several 100 dollars to fix the holes that were left by the work. We had absolutely no idea this amount of extra work would be required.

The man was very professional, assessed the problems and fixed the jobs in a short amount of time. I was very pleased all around.

I was very pleased with the interactions I did have with them. The technician that came out was very professional. When he looked at the existing fan, he stated that theirs would be too small. He did look at the current fan and explained how I could fix it myself.

Kolb was very nice to work with. The scheduling was easy and the scheduling team was very nice to work with. The technician was on time, very efficient and did a terrific job. We will use Kolb for future electrical needs. Thank you!

the tech called to confirm location, arrive completed the repair. job took about 11/2 hours to complete. the area looks much better .

They were excellent. They answered my phone calls promptly. They came out and do an estimate and then the work when I approved it. They came out in very short order. They were most professional. I appreciated the quickness in which they found and solved the problem.

I had them come out for an estimate. I called them back to upgrade my work and said I want an LED bulb. They said it was going to be $400 more. I thought this was too much. Almost $900. They said made a mistake on the original estimate. Customer service rep argued with me on the phone over the cost of the original estimate. They never contacted me about this change, they sent me an email immediately after I called. On the phone they said that they did inform me of the differential with this estimate, but they never did.

I have used Kolb at least three times over the last year 2012-2013. The major job they did was install an outside pole lamp which required underground wiring, an outside electrical outlet, which involved drilling trough brick via my basement to an outside wall. The job took most of the day as stated when I booked the date. The guy who did the work was very polite, explained as much as I wanted to know, tried to get the yard to look good after he had to dig it up. The guy gave me all the information about what kinds of pole lamps would work for the job and I was able to go and purchase it while he was working on putting in the underground wiring. I was quite satisfied with the job. Other 2 visits were simple requiring much less time ( #1 I thought the lamp post was broken due to dirt in point of connection but in truth the bulb - I was sure was a new one- was bad.(how embarrassing)- but comical. #2 My basement light was out and I was afraid for the furnace etc. The problem was a dead mouse- before death he/she has eaten into the wire in the light and caused a short. Easily repaired and all fears abated. In both case #1 And #2 the young men who came to the house were very respectful, we had a good laugh over my fears/ stupidity ( my words) and all ended very well.

I had a question for the company on the type of bathroom exhaust fan that was included in the deal to replace...Never heard back from them. Seemed like a easy one to answer.

The initial scheduling for the installation of the two hanging lights was disappointing. I scheduled for them to come at 12:00pm. They called me at 11:30am to confirm prior to arrival. However, I was in a meeting that in which I couldn't answer the call. I called them at 12:00pm after the meeting only to discover that they sent the electrician to another job. Initially, they told me I would have to reschedule for another day, but I had already taken the afternoon off of work for this installation and couldn't reschedule for another couple of weeks. This was very disappointing because I was at home and ready for the electrician. I then expressed my dissatisfaction with the recommendation to reschedule even though I was at home and available for the electrician at the scheduled time. They said they would try and get an electrician out by that afternoon. An electrician did arrive at around 2:00pm and completed the install. He did express some concerns that he may not complete the work prior to his scheduled end time. However, he was able to complete the work quickly and close out the job at 4:00pm. He was very professional and did his work in a very concise and timely manner. The price for the installation was reasonable and I didn't feel like I was overcharged.

Called to schedule on a thursday morning and they were able to come out that afternoon.They called back that afternoon to say they were on there way, fixed the electrical line promply. Very pleased with their service
