Called for an appointment, earliest they could schedule was one week out. They called me the night before and cancelled at the last minute, so I had to wait another week. Again, I cleared my morning for the 4 hour service window, got a text that the service person was supposed to arrive 8-830. By 9 no one had shown up. I called the office, and was told that because I didn't answer the phone when the service person called they went to the next appointment already ( I did miss a call, but no one left a message) They weren't sure if they could get someone out to me today. I waited for service two weeks and scheduled TWO WHOLE days around their service windows, only to be cancelled on twice. I will not be using them again.

The electricians themselves were nice and courteous. However, I had to prod staff multiple times over several weeks to get the work scheduled. Also, the quality of the work that was done was not great - a piece of the wire molding installed was broken, exposing the wire, and the tracks were installed so that they are off kilter.

They left EXPOSED WIRES coming out of the wall after coming for an ESTIMATE for a person who does not even own the house yet!! I am AMAZED at the lack of professionalism and consideration. The technician did provide the potential buyer a call 30 minutes before arrival and showed up soon after that at the beginning of the two hour service window. So, the punctuality portion was good. However, the technician smelled horribly of cigarette smoke which made my house smell awful. I had to air out the house afterward. While I was present when the buyer, realtor, and electrician arrived, I did not remain in the house to avoid awkwardness and so my small children didn’t see strangers taking over their house. When I returned to the house, the door to access the electrical panel was left open and exposed wires had been pulled out of the ceiling and were sticking out of the opening. Thankfully my two young children did not find the wires before I did. I was left with a mess that is potentially unsafe since I am not an electrician and therefore have no way of knowing for certain that these wires do not pose a safety or fire risk. I can not believe this is how my house was left for an estimate especially since I still own the home and did not authorize anything to be touched nor did I hire this company.

When they got here and did the job it was fine. We scheduled them for July 5th and waited all day and no one came. We called them up and they did not have an excuse. We rebooked if Friday the 7th and then they came. We have used them in the past and had good results, this is the first time they didn't show up when they were suppose to.

They were the most reasonable out of the three estimates I had, and they were the only ones who gave me a free estimate. They were here the whole day and did my entire condo. The guys were really nice and they tried to clean up behind themselves as much as they could. Even though it was wet outside they did their best not track things in, and they were out of here at a reasonable time.

I wanted him to look at something else, but he didn't have a ladder to investigate.

I've worked with them several times. They were prompt and gave excellent service. They gave excellent advice on a few other issues. They were reasonably priced.

Brandon was very professional and completed the job quickly. He did a terrific job with the old porch light that was attached to brick. He tested the lamp post connection even before starting any work to make sure there were not any issues, which would may have led to a different decision (like removing the post all together). He assembled the new fixtures and his work really gave our house an updated curb appeal. Brandon was very professional and respectful of our property. He also took away the old fixtures for disposal. STAY AWAY!!! It took 3 Kolb electricians 3 separate visits to determine the reason for a power outage in some of our rooms. The first electrician didn't correctly diagnose the issue, resulting in 2 follow up visits needed. The manger insisted that we had to pay for each visit. In fact, Joe argued that his 'professional staff' did us a favor by not spending longer at our home diagnosing the problem during the first visit, which would have resulted in additional hours billed. I would have preferred the first electrician 1) know what he was doing and 2) take another 10 minutes to correctly diagnose the issue rather than having to have the additional visits which spanned an additional week. The management was unprofessional and I am very unhappy with how he handled/dismissed my concerns over the phone.

I would like to add to my previous review of this company. I contracted for a whole house generator the beginning of August. Things did not go as smoothly as they should have, but once my install issues were brought to the attention of Tom, I can now say that the generator has been installed and is working perfectly. I am very happy with the response and attention I have been given to finish this job. I would recommend Kolb in the future.

The electrician sent on the job was polite and efficient and satisfactorily explained to me the cause and how it was repaired. Since I had not used an electrician in years, I did not compare costs, but felt it was fair for work completed

He arrived on time and cleaned up behind himself.

Kolb Electric: 1) Kolb sent an electrician out to do an estimate which was followed up with a proposal for work to be done. (Note: Another electrician from a different company had come out and recommended an extensive underground repair job that was estimated would cost about $7,000.) 2) The proposal was signed, two electricians were sent out two days later (Brandon and Ken), and within an hour of being on the job they had determined the problem, figured out what needed to be done, and communicated all of this to the condo representative in a very professional way. The two of them really seem to enjoy problem solving and doing the work. 3) New lamp posts were purchased and installed where needed, underground wires were repaired, landscaping was left just the way it was found, and before leaving, they checked in with the condo representative to wrap things up. 4) The professionalism of Kolb Electric before, during, and after the job was exceptional. I have never written a review for Angie's List before, but I felt compelled to do this after this experience. In the future, our condo association manager has been told to ask Kolb Electric first for any work that needs to be done for the condo association.

They were much lower than everyone else I got estimates from. They did and excellent job. Very courteous. They did a great job.

They did very well. The came out, gave a quote, and completed the job.

I called Kolb electric because I wanted an immediate response. In the middle of a window installation/widening project, our window installers realized that the existing electrical outlets (2 of them) had to be moved. This was to be done within the day to prevent delays in the installation. No other electrician could respond with such short notice (I called 5 of them and got voice mail for 4). One electrician referred us to Kolb Electric and they answered the call! They had someone on site within 2 hours. Tony M. was professional, courteous and performed his task calmly around 10 window installers under noisy, dusty and crowded conditions. The price may have been a little high, but there must be a premium for quick response. All in all, I am very happy with Kolb Electric. They were there when I needed them on a very short notice and performed the task professionally and effectively.

We contacted Kolb and asked if they'd like to bid to do the electrical fit out of our basement. They responded pretty quickly that yes, they would and to contact them. It took a few back and forth's, but a date and time was finally agreed. The gentleman who came out to estimate the work seemed to be more interested in finding problems with the job rather than collecting the information needed to price it. When he left, he promised that we'd have the estimate in a few days. A week passed and no follow-up, so we followed up asking when we would get their estimate. No response. No several weeks later, we still have had no further follow-up from them. Its fine if the decided not to bid, but courtesy, professionalism should have prompted communication back with us, especially after as we followed up making yet another request.

They were on time for appointment and very professional and reasonably priced. This was our first time using them. They are now our electrician of choice. Very happy customers!!

Every electrical problem we had or whatever, they handle very well and reasonably. They're very prompt and whenever they said they're going to be here, they're here. They did the work and they get it done. I would use them again in the future.

I thought it went well, so far no issues. I had he come back and install a ceiling fan.

The installation went well and I haven't had any problems since.

The gentleman was prompt and professional. This is the 3rd time we have used Kolb electric and we will use them again if the needed.

Arrived on time as scheduled and completed quality work. Everything was labeled on the new panel. Very pleased.
