I contacted Kolb 10 days ago to schedule an appointment for several electrical projects in my home (wiring, repair, cabling). The scheduler recommended that I schedule an appointment for an estimate first so that I would get the best pricing since they could anticipate how long the job would take. I was given a window of 10am to 3pm. When I had not heard from anyone by 2pm, I called the office and was told that he was running late, but only had one appointment in front of me. I called again at 4:30pm and was told that he was running behind, but would still be there. When I asked for the time, I was told it would be between 5:30 and 6:00pm. Since they never contacted me to tell me there would be delays, I cancelled the visit and did not reschedule. This is very disappointing since the reviews for this company were so good. I understand delays and was willing to accept a service window, but the fact that they never contacted me and then expected me to accept a visit two hours after the end of my window is totally unacceptable. I had re-arranged my work schedule to be home for the estimate. I will be selecting another company from Angie's list.

I was called by Kolb Electric-told their technician would arrive in about 1/2 hour- he showed up 10 mins later. I told him what I wanted him to do--he got right to work. He was a very pleasant man. Seemed to know what he was doing.

They did a good job at the installations. They came back a few times and each time offered a discount. I would highly recommend them and use them again.

Called on a Monday and set up appointment for Wednesday although electrician could have come Tuesday if needed. Window for service was 8-10 AM he arrived 7:45 AM. Completed the job in 3.5 hours. Very satisfied with service as he did not have to do the TV wiring but did it with no problem.

I became aware of this vendor via an Angie's List Big Deal. Wendy helped me schedule a convenient day (because I bought a discounted service, I couldn't have someone come on Saturday for installation). The electrician Bill arrived during the noon to 4 PM slot (no prior call). It took only 15 minutes to install the surge protector (under the fuse box). For just a bit extra, he replaced a faulty light switch in the basement, using a part in the truck. The whole call took about 30 minutes. I paid for the extra task with a check. Bill provided two comment cards (one for the surge protector and one for the switch), both with 10 percent discounts for future service. I was quite pleased with the work performed and I would use this vendor again.

I felt they stood by their product as they came back out to troubleshoot when we had a problem. Their office staff is easy to communicate with as well.

We were super pleased with them. They were fantastic. We were selling a house and had to have some electrical work done as a result of the inspection. The job was excellent from the day we called them. They were extremely professional and very friendly. They did excellent work. We have absolutely no complaints. They came when they said they would for the estimate and to do the work. They were great. They were very friendly. The price was excellent. We had some other quotes and their quote was a little bit less and in the ballpark. We would absolutely use them again.

The estimator was very helpful and suggested that I get an outlet installed in the electrical box the garbage disposal switch will be in, while I was at it. Great suggestion, as my old kitchen does not have enough outlets. He also gave me separate pricing for the two lines, in case I only wanted to install the dishwasher. The line installation went smoother and quicker than I expected. (I already had open circuit breakers in my central electrical panel). And the finished product was neat and tidy. They carefully labeled everything for my next contractor. I'm very glad I didn't have the dishwasher/garbage disposal installer do the electrical installation. Kolb put in two 20 amp lines. My installer indicated that he thought a 15amp line was 'enough'. Not for me, I know just enough about electrical house stuff to know that in this case 'bigger is better" and worth the additional cost. They only thing that would have made this a better experience would have been if the price was lower, but I always find that electrical is bit pricey, in general, not just Kolb. I believe they are fair market value. I am happy with the job and will use them again.

Everything went well. We have some other issues with the house that we may have them come out to give us an estimate for future work. However, for the small jobs that we had they were able to come out the same day and just charge a per hour rate.

They were fine. They sent out excellent people to do the work. They came when they said they would. They were very polite and nice. They did an excellent job as well. I didn’t have anything to compare their price to. I would definitely use their services in the future too.

They are very quick, they don't sit and gossip, and they do their work fast and efficiently. They know how to do their job. As a matter of fact, they are very punctual. They even worked around my schedule when my cat got sick. I was impressed with that.

I think that they are very knowledgeable and they were on time. Their rates were reasonably priced and they cleaned up well after themselves. I was very happy with them and I would use them again.

They had to come back 3 times to do the same job. They created a mess for me.

MY OVERALL EXPERIENCE WAS EXCELLENT. I CALLED THEM TO EXPLAIN WHAT I NEEDED, THEY TOLD ME THEY WOULD BE OUT THE NEXT DAY. THE ELECTRICIAN WAS POLITE, KNOWLEDGEABLE AND QUICK. THE JOB WAS DONE IN NO TIME, AND HE WAS CLEAN ABOUT IT.
