Description of Work: George and his Team were great. Worked around our schedule and the possible upcoming weather. Only have good things to say about Columbia Roofing!

Description of Work: Fixed a leak and replaced some fascia. There was a bit of a delay getting started but they did a good job.

Description of Work: I have four Sun Tunnel skylights that have been in place several years. They had accumulated dust and bugs, and in wanting to clean them, and not knowing how to do it, I had taken out the screws from one of them and the entire unit had fallen out. | |The technician replaced that unit and added additional screws that the original installer had failed to use. He also showed me the proper (and easy) way to remove the diffuser for cleaning, cleaned all four, and added those screws that had been left out originally to the other three. | |He was very professional and finished the job in 2 hours. $350 was the minimum charge for a service call.

Description of Work: I sent an inquiry Nov 9 or 10th about two homes with roof leaks via Angie's list mail and never heard back.

Description of Work: They found a leak and dry rot in my roof resulting from original builder error. They corrected the problem with a metal patch, ice dam material and new shingles. They found several other areas where contractors for an addition had not installed new shingles correctly and they fixed those at no additional cost. They even through some debris out of a gutter. We just came through Hurricane Sandy dry as a whistle. If I need roofing services again, I know who I will call.

Description of Work: we had a leak that we were unaware of for sometime. called Columbia to set up an estimate. they came out the next week and of the 3 companies that gave up estimate they were the highest but they were the only company to get on the roof to see what the issue was. they did a temp fix of the issue so if it rained before getting it fix the water would not cause anymore damage. they were very professional and highly recommend. when the time comes to replace the entire roof they will be the 1st company i call

Description of Work: Columbia was very prompt, checked our home carefully, including a visit to our attic. They prepared a very detailed and clear proposal that made it clear what we would be getting. They followed up several times while we made our final decision. We found the price to be very competitive. If we had not received a proposal fro several hundred dollars less for a little higher quality, we would have gone with Columbia with no hesitation. Aclass act.

Description of Work: We have had many problems with our roof which we found out was installed by Columbia when the home was built(we are not original owners). We have been in the 6 year old home 2 years and 3 times have had shingles blow off during storms. The first time we called Columbia because of the good reviews we read here and they came right out and fixed it, we were also told during that repair that poor plywood was used in the construction of the roof hence the lose of shingles. After calling the builder to find out who installed the bad plywood we found out that Columbia was the original roofer, when we complained to the builder and told them the roofer told us that poor wood was used they called Columbia and Columbia denied saying any such thing, we were so disgusted with the dishonesty that the next time it happened and we had several more shingles blow off we called someone else to make the repair, we were told by that roofer, the pipes sticking out of the roof had never been chalked around when roof was done and we had water down inside the areas so they fixed that for us. The third time shingles blew off we decided to call Columbia again and tell them how unhappy we were. Columbia told us the shingles they installed were not certified for the winds in our area. HELLO!!! then why would you install something you know is not correct for our area. Anyway, we have tried to get them out to fix the problem but they do not return our calls, we have been missing shingles for 2 months now waiting for them to get back to us after many many calls. If and when we need to replace our roof I will not be using them, their customer service has turned out to be very poor.
