I called and left a message and received a call back from Jay the same day. He was friendly on the phone and had immediate availability. I was unable to make the trek to the rental property til several days later and he was able to accomodate. Jay was about 15 minutes early and called me as I was still enroute. I was glad that I did not have to wait once I arrived at the property. Jay is a friendly guy and knowledgeable. He diagnosed the issue quickly and was able to fix it quickly. We were in and out in about an hour. I highly recommend Blue Jay Electric.

Jay and his team were awesome! I was a very disgruntled customer from a very, very bad experience last year with a so called OTHER Electrician that I met through a "friend referral." (which was a huge mistake) I had had Jay and his team out last year to fix a problem left by the other Contractor, who took my money and never returned my calls much less fixed his errors and screw-ups. Every experience I've had with Blue Jay Electric has been awesome! I would highly recommend this group for all of your electric needs. They are always on time, professional, fair, and very courteous. The company is the type of company that realizes, hey, sometimes mistakes can happen or things can go, "not as planned." But the bottom line, they stand behind their work and will always make sure the customer is 1000% happy in the end. They realize the meaning of true customer service and why customers will ALWAYS come back to them and refer others for new business! Angie, you should add a new grade for this company, A++.

The appointment was scheduled between 7:30am and 8:00am, the electrician showed up right at 8:00am. He looked at the area where we were having trouble with as well as the thermostat itself. The first gentleman that helped us was very nice but didn't really seem to know what the problem was, half way through the appointment another person joined him who seemed to know better what was going on. They ran a test and immediately realized there was a short in the wire. The problem is that we ended up getting charged a full hour of time for 1 person and 1/2 hour for the other when really this could have been done in half the time. I felt a bit ripped off because the person who started the appointment ended up charging us to basically look around when it was clear he didn't know what the issue was. Once the other person showed up the appointment went quickly. Wish we had had the 2nd person arrive early to reduce our overall cost.

Fantastic! Eric came out and was a super nice guy who got the job done in a matter of minutes. Might have been a fix that someone other than me could do themselves, but I was happy to have it done by a professional. I'll be calling back for the 2nd exhuast fan and fire alarm replacement. I gave a "B" on punctuality because I was told on the phone that I would be the 2nd call of the day and was given a window between 9AM to 11AM. Eric didn't arrive until 11:05 AM. Eric said next time to let them know and they will call me ahead of time as to when technician will arrive. That's good to know!

Jay came out to the house and did the estimate himself. He took his time, listened to what we wanted, and addressed the issues that were concerns to us. Rich was the electrician that came out to do the actual work. He was prompt, professional, and friendly. Despite running into some snags with the existing wiring (not uncommon in an older house), he remained cheerful and informed us at each step what was happening and what needed to be done, as well as what our various options were. Rich listened, understood what we wanted, and made it happen. We couldn't be more pleased, and will certainly contact Blue Jay for any further work we need done.

We tried to install a heater and ended up losing power to 2/3 of the house. We thought we were toast and would have to go without power for quite a while. BUT (cue angels and lovely music) we called them and luckily they were able send someone that afternoon. Rich and Zack arrived quickly and were able to diagnose the problem within minutes. They explained the issue and fixed it with very little fuss. After everything was restored they explained why the problem occurred and what we had to do to get the heater properly installed in the future; duh, use an electrician. They were even nice to our dog; she enjoyed the attention. This is the third time we have dealt with Blue Jay and each time they have been on time, friendly and did not try to sell us things we did not need. We highly recommend them and will definitely be using them for all of our future electrical needs starting with installing the heater. Thank you!!

Service went great. I had Rich come to the house twice to take care of the ceiling fans and he was punctual, professional and great to work with. Rich and the company were reasonable on the price and completed the work in an efficient and honest manner. I will definitely use them again for any electrical work I have.

On the day of the estimate, Jay was very prompt, arriving at the appointed time, not in the middle of some huge "window" that most companies make you deal with. Their quote was within range of one of the other two quotes I had gotten and based on word of mouth and Angies list reviews, I went with Blue Jay. I wasn't disappointed! During scheduling I was told that this job may take more than one day, so I was scheduled for all day on Tuesday and the start of Wednesday just in case. Tuesday, Richie was caught in traffic and running a little late, but gave me a call to let me know the situation and that he was on his way, which I thought was very professional. At the start he went over the job specifics with me to make sure he knew exactly what needed to be done. Any time he ran into a problem or had a question, he was quick to check with me before he proceeded, to make sure. He was VERY clean, and I was pleased to see that he had a work mat that he pulled around with him to catch any debris and keep any drywall crumbs and powder off of my carpet. In addition, he brought a vacuum to clean up areas when he was done. As predicted, the work did have to be completed on Tuesday, but again, Rich gave me a ring that morning with his estimated arrival time, he was quick and we went over the finished product and switch layout to make sure everything was completed to my satisfaction. I would definitely refer any of my friends to do business with Blue Jay Electric!

BGE forced us to relocate our meter box and power line going into our home to a completely different location because of an addition added onto our home. Jay at Blue Jay Electric and his crew did a fantastic job coordinating what BGE and Howard county wanted and took care of all the research needed to relocate the meter and lines. Their workmanship was excellent and their willingness to work with BGE kept us from having to deal with them directly.I highly recommend them for any electrical work whether it be a minor item or a major project.

They did a great job. They kept me informed on what was happening and were very pleasant to have working here. I made a few changes at the last minute and they were able to take care of it. It was a very good experience and they took care of several additional problems for me. I am very glad to have found them.

Richie came out to do the work listed above. He was very professional, thorough, tidy (he even cleaned up a mess my husband had made!) and professional. We were highly impressed with the service we received from Blue Jay. They were not the cheapest estimate we received for the work done, but they took the time to explain everything they would do which made them seem more knowledgeable/trustworthy than some of the other folks we met. We are pleased with the work they did and will used them in the future. We have already started a list of jobs for them to do!

We used them 10 years ago, and we also used them recently for some small jobs. If you have electrical work done, and you want somebody who will do it professionally, and do a good job, get it done promptly, then I would hire them.

Blue Jay professionals were outstanding communicators throughout the entire process. They were prompt on all appointments (spanning over a three week period...several projects) and their installers were very professional. They always traveled in pairs, with a primary and assistant installer. Regardless of the team working on the project that day, they were professional and respectful (to each other and me). Their photograph on their website shows a small cadre of employees...a family of sorts. This is exactly how they behaved and performed. I trust Blue Jay implicitly and will recommend them without reservation. I will continue to use them for my future projects. Job well done!

Called last week, and was able to get an appointment this week. Very professional on the phone. Rich showed up today and went right to work. He quickly diagnosed our electrical problems and provided guidance toward questions we had. He was in and out in about 20 minutes. Price is great, and for the information he provided we got a great deal. Other contractors could have taken the same situation and ran up a bill of useless work. On my job I see this all the time. Not these guys. Blue Jay Electric is now in my Contacts due to this one visit.

Rich did a very efficient and timely job. He had me look at each part of the job before moving on to the next item. He provided extra explanations of work that he performed.

The electrician showed up on time. Installed the new line. He did a great job. Blue Jay Electric made arrangements with Baltimore city electrical inspector to inspect the job. Blue Jay Electric made arrangements with Baltimore Gas & Electric to connect the new line. I will use Blue Jay Electric for any future electrical jobs.

From start to finish our interactions with this company was great. The woman in the office was super helpful over the phone, and answered all of our questions in a friendly and professional manner. We were quoted a window of time for our appointment, and Zach and Rich arrived right on time. They were both super friendly, and very professional as well. They even greeted our young son, and our dog which we thought was nice. They performed the work that we needed done very efficiently, and they did a great job. Rich also gave me some great advice on how to hang my TV on the wall without going through all kinds of trouble to run an extra power source up the wall. Overall, it was just a great experience, and I will be calling them again should I need anything in the future. Thanks again, and keep up the great work.

The provider was punctual for both the estimate and the day that the work was performed. The electricians that installed the lighting were very attentive to our desires and we are very pleased with the installation. The team cleaned up after themselves and put all things away as they were before. This was an exceptional team and I would highly recommend this company to all.

Rich arrived during the 2-hour window as promised. After discussing the problems, he went right to work by first replacing a defective GFI in the garage that that kept tripping. Next, he examined and tested the light fixture in the master bath and determined that the sockets were "fried" a new fixture would be needed. Finally, he adjusted the bracket on the ceiling fan that was causing it to wobble. Rich works efficiently and leaves a cleaned up area when he is through. He is always very patient in answering questions and it is apparent he is quite knowledgeable about his work. In addition to the replacement of the bathroom light, I plan to replace two additional fixtures and will request that Rich return to do the installations.

Awesome. When I reviewed what I wanted done, they worked with me, saving me money, time and future frustration with their helpful hints. The work took just a bit longer than quoted, but this was not an issue, Blue Jay worked around my schedule, never asking for final payment until the job was completed. Rich & Zack were the pros on the job and they punctual, professional, skilled and gave many helpful suggestions, but always doing the work as I wanted it. They also did a great job of cleaning up and leaving the site as if they had never been in our home.

Zach and Richie did an excellent job. They were punctual and very knowledgeable. Not only did they do all the work efficiently, they answered all my questions and explained the work they had done.
