Well I don't have any complaints. They were great at what they were doing. I didn't come across as being great but they also did what I wanted to do. That's why I am giving them three.

Install new recessed lighting, run new 40 amp line, installed new hanging light fixture. Went well but they never worked with me to schedule the inspection we paid extra for the new 40 amp line run.

Excellent experience. Responsive to communication. Professional and friendly crew. Arrived on time and completed the job in the timeline discussed. Went above and beyond to clear up secondary wiring issues to make sure it would pass inspection. Highly recommended to anyone in search of reliable and good electrical work.

Electrician sent was grumpy and rude. Hectored his assistant. Hid behind “I have 40 years doing this” when he was asked a question. They left with only addressing the GFCI problem. Used them before, never again.

They were prompt, efficient and they did fabulous job and came in with their proposed price.

Kitchen glass-front cabinet has lovely lighting that is temperamental, sometimes hard to get to come on, I have to turn a screw under cabinet to get it to work. Electrician came out, said he couldn't get a charge to that cabinet. While he was in house I had hard time getting lights to come on. He said he could put in new kitchen under-cabinet lighting for thousands of dollars. I declined. Several weeks later had not bothered with lighting, but noticed that outlet undercabinet had little red light on. I'm no electrician but I pushed light, plugged in small appliance and had electricity, presumably from same source that the cabinet light gets electricity. Why would he not be able to get charge? Cabinet lights do work, though sometimes I have to tighten same screw. Trying to get their attention cause can't even leave message right now.

Jay showed up exactly on time to assess the job and emailed a quote a couple of working days later. Compare that with another independent contractor who was too busy (lazy) to come to the house but asked for photos instead. That company never bothered to reply to any of my emails and never provided a quote. Blue Jay's quote was much lower than a heavily advertised electrical contractor. The crew (at times 4 people) ran into multiple obstacles but always found a way to overcome them and got the job done properly. We are delighted with the service we received from Jay, Ben and the crew.

I called and they were able to come the same day. Rich and Luis were amazing and very knowledgable. We have an old house that has had interesting remodeling done by pervious owners. They were able to quickly remedy several wiring issues including with our breaker box. I asked them about a wiring job in the attic and they were very honest about the difficulty of the job and the risks. I would 1000% use them again as well as recommend

It took some creative thinking but a great solution was found.

The installation went quite well and the entire staff was very responsive and professional in performing the required work. They took the time to answer our questions and were very cooperative in resolving a minor issue related to the installation of the new dryer. We were quite pleased with how the work went and would recommend Blue Jay Electric should you have any residential electric service needs.

They were extremely prompt and arrived 2 hours after initial called. They fixed all issues in the house in the house in less than 1 hour. The issues were Master Closet light out, Guest Bedroom sockets not working, basement stairs lights not working, and the dining room receptacle wasn't working.

I selected Blue Jay Elec. from several quotes for my house electrical panel upgrade. Their prices were very competitive and reasonable. Blue Jay Elec. (Keon) even came out to the house and provided several options and price quotes. Other electricians never called back or came out to the house. A couple electricians didn’t want the difficult job of upgrading and replacing the main panel box. Blue Jay Elec. were professionals and showed up on time for our scheduled appointments. They provided several quotes options and even pointed out a major code violation that would be an issue with county inspectors. Rich was the main electrician on my project. He was courteous and friendly. He explained what needed to be done and even answered my questions. He transformed a rat’s nest of wires among several old panels and sub-panels into one main (safe) panel. Additionally, he upgraded the circuits and amps to meet current and future demands. Blue Jay Elec. also took care of all the county permits and made appointments with BGE and Howard County Permit Inspection.

Jay was the main electrician for the installation of my new EV Tesla Wall Charger. He was courteous, friendly, and on time. Before any work and quotes, he made sure the current main electrical panel could handle the Tesla Wall Charger. He also warned me prior and again before start of job, that he would have to make small cuts into drywall to pull cable into the garage from basement. After cable pull, he reinstalled the drywall cutouts and made it easier for me to later puddy and repaint the area to match original wall. After routing the correct gauge wire through the house from basement panel to the garage, he installed the correct circuit breaker as required by the Tesla manual. He also figured out the complicated electrical settings and mounting of the Tesla Wall Charger by reading that thick Tesla manual. Note: Make sure you know what type of EV car and battery size along with the correct EV charger (settings). Otherwise, you would end up overpaying for a charger you can't use on your EV. I didn't have that problem with Blue Jay Electric Inc.

They stopped communicating while we were scheduling an appointment. Initially, it was wonderful. I explained what I needed done, they promptly replied with a price for the services ($515, reasonable I thought), and suggested a specific date and time. I wasn't available at that time, so they requested my availability, and I sent back many opportunities, with wide windows. And I got crickets. Not a company worth bothering with if you have a work schedule of your own.

Fine. On time and professionally done.

It went well. I picked up each lamp within a week and the lamps now work fine.

Everything went just fine. No problems thus far.

They diagnosed the problem and repaired it.

Great. Rich and Shawn arrived about 15 mins before the ETA. Completed the work way ahead of time. Cleaned everything up well. Price was the best among the quotes I had received. Excellent quality and customer service.

Jay was awesome and he completed the work with utmost professionalism and I would be hiring him again to replace the electric receptacles and switches.

It was fast and the electrician explained what he was doing and had suggestions for me. Very Helpful. Just felt it was pricey and no one explained or told me the cost to have someone come out.

I was very pleased with the work of the installers; they were efficient and knowledgeable. I was not impressed with the guy who came and looked at the work to be done despite the fact I provided the work needed was given based on my home inspection information; did not get the idea he knew what he was doing. I am not sure I got a good price based on the estimator but based on the work from Richie and guys, I was very pleased and would hire them again.

We have an issue with our circuit breaker going out so we called Blue Jay Electric and have used their services in the past. Jay came out for a service visit. He concluded that we needed to put the sump pump on it's own breaker. So we had them out to have the sump pump put on it's own breaker; yet the next day the circuit still tripped. I called and scheduled another visit and Ben came out but couldn't quite figure out the problem. He disconnected our outdoor lights and the radon fan as he thought this was the issue. It turns out the outdoor lights are on a completely different circuit. We had the Radon Fan replaced and the wiring checked by the original install co. It only pulls .3 amps so this is not the issue. I called again and scheduled a service for which they did not show up. I had to call and they could not come out for an entire week. I scheduled another service call for today between 10-12 and once again, no one showed up. It has been extremely disappointing. I guess they are good if it's straight forward and easy. I really don't know what to say. :(

They were very good. We had a permit and inspections and we were very pleased. They were excellent.
