The two electricians arrived on-time and explained to me the different options on how to install the sensors. They were professional and friendly. I also used the same company to install exterior house lights at another time and I was also satisfied with the work. I would recommend this company.

The previous owner had repaired the aluminum wiring when we moved into the house, and when we were selling our house, the buyer raised a concern about the aluminum wiring again. We thought that everything was fixed but their inspector said otherwise. Blue Jay had originally estimated it at $1700, but they went in there and inspected everything and they found that everything we had satisfied the county code. So, we did not have any problem. They came out and honestly told me that there was no problem instead of replacing it. I paid them for a two-hour inspection. That was great. I was very satisfied. They came 10 minutes before the appointment time. They were wonderful.

Service was fantastic! Rich and Zack showed up on time and quickly replaced two ceiling fans. They were very professional and thorough, and managed to overcome some less than clever improvisations made by the previous homeowners. I will definitely be using them again to perform some other needed electrical work.

Jay came out on time to look at existing panel and told me I would have an estimate by the end of the day. I received the estimate that evening. I followed up with additional questions that were promptly answered. Less than a month later I scheduled Blue Jay Electric to perform the work. Due to my schedule I had to change the appointment twice, but both times they were understanding and quickly rescheduled the work. The day of the appointment Rich showed up and took a look a the work to be performed. He quickly got the task started and worked efficiently through the morning. At one point he notified me that they had spec'd out the wrong number of circuit breakers (too many 15-amp circuits and not enough 20-amp). He told me he had to run out and would be back. He gave me an estimated time to run out and was back promptly. Rich finished up the job soon after. I was very impressed by his work. He took pride in everything he did and was proud to show me the final product and how well he organized the main panel. Overall I was well pleased. One note: I had several bids on the job and Blue Jay Electric was the only electrician that used Square D QO as their standard product. Other quotes included Square D Homeline products and would cost additional for the upgrade to the QO line. Do your research...although Homeline is a great product nothing matches the QO quality and reputation.

My wife and I had already purchased the new lights, I wanted Blue Jay to install because of the fabulous service we've received in the past. As always, the experience was fantastic and the entire transaction was a breeze. No negatives at all to report - Keon performed the work flawlessly and was punctual, professional and personable. He also finished up some minor trim work on an earlier installation of under-the-counter lighting (he did the bulk of the work last week), which looks truly superb. Blue Jay Electric and their crew of superior electricians are the BEST in my book!

There was no current light in the ceiling, but had a light switch that operated an outlet. He was able to install the ceiling fan without cutting any additional holes, as he had access to the atic and could lay the wire up there. He cleaned up after himself, was very professional and knew his stuff. I am very pleased and would recommend to anyone.

I called at 10am and the guys were there at 1pm to install an additional cable outlet in my daughter's room. They were in and out in 45 minutes. The guys were very nice and professional. I would definitely use them again for any electrical need.

Rich was very punctual and he diagnosed the problem very quickly. In addition, Rich explained (in plain english) what the problem with my wiring was, and how the problem was caused. He fixed my wiring quickly, readily answered my questions, and maintained a professional demeanor throughout the process. I would definitely use Blue Jay Electric in the future.

Rich was in and out within an hour, fixed the kitchen lighting, explained all the crazy wiring and history and how to deal with it after the previous Harry Homeowner work, and told me replacement ceiling fan work Blue Jay can also do. Priced a generator, and it was the best price in town, and I would recommend Blue Jay for that work as well because Jay had the best plan for where and how to situate the generator.

Jay Outland, the owner came to my house and after looking over the job gave me a quote which seemed very reasonable. The job was done in two steps. The sub-panel and lighting and then the circuits. Eric, the electrician who did the work, was very conscious. At one point he had to create a space in dry wall and as he was cutting the dry wall he held a piece of paper against the wall to catch the dust! I have dealt with a lot of electricians but never one so neat and tidy. He left my house spotless. The work happened when they said it would and took the time they allotted. There were no surprises or extra's. I would hire them again with no reservations.

Rich and Zack rolled up in their truck as expected and, after a quick examination of the problem, found that the upstairs bathroom did NOT have a GFI switch (a legal requirement, but not put in by the contractor who remodeled in 1999). Rich removed the faulty outlet and discovered frayed wiring that had actually been melted - a potentially dangerous situation! They immediately installed a new GFI outlet and power was miraculously restored to the other outlets; we could now open our garage! I love these guys and highly recommend them to anyone looking for electrical work. We're bringing them back next week to install some more outlets and replace our outside lights. Wouldn't consider anyone else!

It went very well. They arrived on time and went by one by one troubleshooting all of the issues. Once they discovered what the issue was, they were able to fix it very quickly.

He came to the house checked the problem. Then he went to home depot to get the necessary parts and returned in a timely fashion and changed the fixture. It didn't take him long once he had the correct parts.

Response was prompt. Estimate was good. Workers arrived on time and did a professional job. System was installed and works as requested. All personnel were competent, courteous and on time.

After a Flood from Tropical Storm Lee we needed some circuits checked that kept popping. Keon was on time, very courteous & helpful and went above and beyond to fix our electrical issues as well as answer other questions that I had around the house...

Jay came out to make an estimate to repair flickering lights. He quickly identified the problem, quoted a price, and offered to come out two days later (a Saturday morning) to repair the problem. Jay arrived early for both the estimate and service call. He fixed the problem efficiently and checked to ensure the lights no longer flickered before leaving. The charge was exactly as quoted. I will definitely call Blue Jay Electric next time I need an electrician.

The guys were there on time, we kind and professional, did an excellent job with the installation, answered all of our questions, took our opinions into consideration, and cleaned everything up like they had never come. I was amazed by how easy the job seemed for them and how great the outcome was.

Jay came exactly on time to give us an estimate for 5 warm flourescent lighting fixtures and two additional outlets. Keon came on time to install the fixtures in a dreary dark basement. He worked cleanly and professionally for 5 hours, wiring and installing the lights, which he took the time to line up neatly. He also removed our old pull string lights and covered the boxes safely. All lights are now connected to one light switch as we requested, and now we can see!! The additional outlets had to be installed on concrete block walls in our unfinished basement. He checked to see exactly where we wanted them, and installed them neatly and securely. Keon then cleaned everything up, and was polite, friendly and professional. We are extremely pleased with Blue Jay Electric and will call them again.

Rich was amazing. When he first arrived at my home he noted that the alarms were hard wired (I had looked at one upstairs and concluded that they all were battery operated.) He called the office, discussed a price decrease and then pleasantly went off to return the alarms for ones that would work in a pre-wired situation. When he returned he discovered there was a mix of alarms so off he had to go again for different parts. The next day I discovered that code for rental properties requires the alarms on the bedroom level to be a combination carbon monoxide and smoke alarm. We had place the combination alarm in the basement near the furnace area. Rich came back and changed out the alarm and when the new one was installed he discovered he had been given a faulty alarm. That's right, off he went again to the parts store for an exchange. Throughout all of this process Rich was really great. In fact he apologized to me for the inconvenience! The job was done well and there were no additional charges for the unexpected discoveries. I would definitely use Blue Jay Electric again and ask for Rich if I need electrical services. This is the kind of service we all hope we receive!

Rich was on time and professional. He checked the fan in front of me so I had a clear sense of what he was talking about. Fortunately, there was no water damage. Before he left, he taught me how to fix a burned-out dimmer on my main floor. I told him I wanted to see if I can fix myself and he gave me his cell phone and said that he would talk me through it if I had any questions. Definitely a big help!

Our entire experience was great! Starting from the beginning when I inquired about what we should do and an idea of pricing, Jay was very helpful. When we finally moved in, Jay was immediately there to give us an in-person estimate and suggest options for us. Tracy (office) was very responsive to my emails and getting us on the schedule for the work. We weren't home while the work was being done, but Rich called me to tell me he was at the house and confirm what we were having done. He was very nice and I appreciated him letting me know the status. I asked if he could look at one other thing while he was there and he said no problem. He called me back after he looked to tell me that everything was fine with it. I will definitely use Blue Jay Electric again for any eletrical issues we need help with! Very professional and very friendly to work with!

They were very skilled, professional and helpful. I'd definitely hire them again. We were really pleased with the work they did. My only surprise about Blue Jay was they way they charge. They don't give an estimate for a specific job like other service providers such as locksmiths, do. Instead, they charge an hourly rate. They did give us a rough estimate of how much time it would take to perform the work, but they seemed to work a bit slowly. They also took two short breaks during the 3 1/2 hours that they were here and we got charged for that time, too. Maybe that's normal and I just don't know how things work with hourly services like this. In the end, what they charged us seemed fair to me. We certainly couldn't have done what they did.
