Their service call price is $125, they gave $25 off for Angie List members. The job took 5 minutes. However, it's my own fault, and I learned something new about how my house is wired. (I just moved in a month ago). Emailed Blue Jay Electrical yesterday evening. I had email response from Jay early this morning. They came this morning, and were amazingly prompt. Rich was incredibly professional. My wife was the person home. She relayed the entire transaction, today. The problem was a stripped lightbulb in my second floor hallway, and when I tried to fix it Wednesday night, it shorted out and took out the power to the hall lights, AND my bathroom entirely, AND bedroom ceiling fan/lamp, He checked the main circuit breakers in the basement (which I had done) and then he found there's a breaker in the second floor bathroom on one of the plugs. ALL of those electrical units are attached to that breaker. So, Rich pressed the reset button, and power was back (oy vey!) and tookout the stripped bulb base and replaced bulb. It is probably his easiest call this month. I feel dumb, but I'm new to the house, and learned a lesson about how things were wired in the 1970s. I never would have guessed. So, THANK YOU Rich and Blue Jay Electrical for the super fast service, and the lesson on my house's circuitry. Maybe some day we can get you back out here to re-do that wiring so that it makes sense under today's electrical schemes.

Overall, the experience went well. They showed up early and got the job done. They also gave us some advice and input on other things that we could improve upon in our home. They were good to work with.

I hired Blue Jay to do a service upgrade, add outlets and lights and do a complete electrical inspection on a house I recently purchased. I had Blue Jay out to give me an estimate and within a few days received the written estimate. By the time I decided to hire them I had changed some of the work I wanted done so I sent them an updated list. They were able to change the estimate without coming back out. We scheduled the work a week or so in advance. The first day of work happened to be during Super Storm Sandy, Blue Jay showed up on time and worked all day even though just about everything else was closed. Due to the storm they weren?t able to come back on the scheduled second day of work (very understandable), so they came back later that week. I really appreciated that they worked so hard when the rest of the state was home getting ready for the storm. Everyone at Blue Jay was polite and helpful. They really understood what I wanted and made sure I was happy with all the work they did. Without being asked to, they adjusted the bill because the complete inspection took less time than they had put on the estimate. I will defiantly hire Blue Jay for future electrical projects. I highly recommend Blue Jay.

, of course,Eric with Blue Jay Electric did a great job. He added 12 led recessed light fixtures, wired for and installed approximately 32' of ribbon led lighting under cabinet and above our upper cabinets, and moved existing switches and outlets to accommodate the new layout. Eric also took care of the electrical for the appliance relocation. As usual he was detail oriented and worked with us to achieve our remodel. The kitchen turned out beautiful and the lighting, of course, has a major impact on the new space.

Things went very well. Rich and Zach were friendly and very respectful of my home. They worked quickly and maintained professionalism at all times. Although they were slightly delayed in getting started the speed with which they finished the jobs it was worth it.

Everyone at this company is professional and friendly. Had 2 ceiling fans installed (no existing wiring connections) and both look and work great. The electricians arrived as promised and worked diligently through the day. Excellent work! Use them!

We called Blue Jay Electric to repair a ceiling fan. The serviceman, Rich, told us that it could not be repaired. He gave us advice on buying a replacement fan that saved us monry. He returned later and installed the fan we had bought. The service was prompt and professional. We have had no problems with the new ceiling fan.

It went extremely well. Although the electrician was late, it was caused by a major accident on the highway and was not a problem in the completion of the work. Rich Walls worked steadily and professionally through the day. I was impressed with his competence and his courtesy. The porject took most of the day. We will definitely use Blue Jay again and in fact talked about the next work at the end of this job.

It was relatively easy to schedule an appointment that suited my schedule. The electrician, Rich, appeared on time and was very professional and efficient. He even provided an alternative solution to another issue that I asked him about but had not scheduled into my appointment. I will definitely use this business again. Thanks!

After carefully measuring and inspecting the space, Rich determined where the cable would be best fished and successfully did so with minimal impact to the finished areas (small patch in the ceiling of the office area. He was also very efficient and was able to finish the work in under an hour to prevent any additional costs. I will definitely keep Blue Jay Electric in mind for any additional electrical work.

Rich and Zach came within the last 1/2 hour of the window of time quoted of when they'd arrive and were done within that 1/2 hour. They assessed the problem in about 1 minute flat, were to their truck for parts and had the whole job done soup to nuts in just under 1/2 hour. They replaced the light switch on the wall, which was the original problem. They had the outlet installed in the ceiling in about 15 minutes with wiring and removal of the old fixture. The back door light switch and outlet were part of the original light switch issue and resolved as soon as the switch was replaced. They were a whirlwind of efficiency. They were extremely knowledgable, courteous and helpful. They will be our first call for any electrical issue!

I had someone replace my breaker panel, and they did not fully do the wprk completely. Was given an estimate by one company to completely redo everything for $2,600! I called Blue Jay Electrical, they came out and gave me a free estimate, said I didn't have to re-do everything, and told me they could fix any issues for about $200. When they returned, final work was complete in less than 30 minutes and the cost was only $175. Great outfit and they saved me a ton of money! I will definitely use them again!

We had a home inspection when selling our house and agreed to do a bunch of work. Jay came out and gave us an estimate. Rich came by to do the actual work. Both men were very professional and informative, as well as very honest in their explanations of the work. After Rich finished the work, he actually charged us less than the original estimate because he finished so fast.

Two gentlemen came to install recessed lighting. They were on time, professional and thorough. There was a little mishap with a ladder (so glad no one was hurt!), and a larger hole was created than necessary. The guys went out and purchased materials to fix it, came right back, and made all the repairs. And my lighting looks great! I could not have been more pleased. I would definitely use Blue Jay Electric again, and I would recommend them to anyone!

Great job. Thought of innovative way to hide the lighting wires around our deck and pool. They showed up on time and were very thoughtful about making any mess. They cleaned up at the end of each days work. Very professional. Certainly knew their trade. Well done. Excellent experience!

The whole experience was great from start to finish. Jay came on time for an estimate and walked me through the various options. Within a day or so he emailed me an estimate. My wife and I were away but Blue Jay was fine scheduling the service for about a month later. Rich came on the first day (it took two) and worked incredibly quickly and efficiently. He was on time and then walked me through what we were having done to make sure we were on the same page. He then gave me a variety of options for the installation of the lights after he had poked about to see where it would be easiest to put them without cutting into the walls. He was there all day for two days and did a great job. Best of all he cleaned up the dust from cutting into the walls--even going the extra mile to vacuum. I would recommend Blue Jay very highly and we will be using them again. Rich was especially great.

He did a good job, at a reasonable price for coming out within an hour at our request. Was knowledgeable. Also cut down wood pole that housed the electric box.

I contacted Jay to have an electrician come over my home and fix a broken external lantern cable. Jay sent Rich and Zach to my home to fix the problem. When they arrived I showed them the broken cable that I thought was the lantern cable. Rich and Zach began to trouble shoot the current lantern line but in the end I decided an attempt to dig up my yard and landscaping wasn't worth the headache. I wanted to compensate Rich and Zach for driving over 45 minutes for at least assessing the problem, but after Rich spoke with Jay, he decided not charge me one penny over an inaccuracy on my part. I was very surprised and very appreciative of their World Class Service. Without a doubt I will use Blue Jay Electric in the future and I highly recommend this exemplary company to others. They have redefined and raised the bar when it comes to Customer Service. Thank you again!!

Overall it was Great! The Do's -Call Blue Jay. The Don'ts - don't call anyone else!

The technician was quick in doing the work, figuring out the wiring problems, and helpful in explaining what was wrong. He was punctual and did good work. I'd definitely hire again.
