Blue Jay is a EXCELLENT company and they do outstanding work. Eric is a really nice guy, the whole crew was great, very friendly and professional. They installed an attic fan in January but because it was cold and the fan is regulated by thermostat we couldn't tell it didn't function properly. When it got warmer in April, we could see it wasn't working. Blue Jay was very responsive and had an electrician out within 2 hours for a free warrantee repair. The fan works really well. There were no hassles getting the repair, which we really appreciated. You can always tell the quality of a company when there is a problem - they are top notch, we will use them again, and recommend Blue Jay to our friends.

We found Blue Jay Electric via Angie's List and they have become our go-to company for electrical work. They have done the electrical for a new basement bathroom that we installed, fixed some faulty outlets throughout our house, added new outlets for us in the garage, and replaced a ceiling fan on the top of a 2 story ceiling in our great room. Each time, they have been extremely professional and responsive. When the ceiling fan pole did not fit the new ceiling fan, they went to Home Depot and purchased another one for us at no extra time charge.

They've been very good. The guy who owns the place name is Jay and my husband really likes him. He's honest, reliable, and does good work which is really important when it comes to something like electrical work. It's not expensive and is reasonable.

We used them back in November and decided to call them again when an attempt to install a ceiling fan resulted in sparks because of our old house wires. I sent an email but then called the next day and left a message. Jay called back and gave me an estimate of $ 175 per fan. Since putting a ceiling fan is supposed to be an easy job: black to black, white to white wire, etc. and we had already attempted to put one up already, I wasn't too thrilled with the price, but he said they could bill us by the hour, instead of by the job, so if it took less time to do, we could essentially save that way. I had to discuss first and called back to set a schedule. A lady answered and was happy to assist and knew about the quote. They were able to come that week. We were worried it would be a tough job because of the awkward wiring - 5 wires instead of 2 and such. To try to cut cost and amount of time down, we removed the existing lights/fan and had the new fans unpacked and ready to mount. To our surprise, all 2 fans went up without a problem, and they were done in 2hrs thus saving us some money. Rich and Zack did an amazing job. This is our 2nd time using them, and we have been pleased with their work. They have an excellent reputation on Angies list and it shows.

We just bought a fixer-upper house and needed some updated electrical work. Out of the several companies we called, they were the most responsive and had the best estimate. They were professional and on-time and were neat. Very good experience.

Emailed Jay I needed a 20 year old attic fan replaced. He was able to come out the next day but my schedule required an appointment the following week in which he was able to accommodate. Richie arrived ahead of the scheduled time, which was great for me, and took a look at where the fan was located. In my house there is no attic, the fan needed to be accessed thru a ceiling panel. He went to get everything he needed and changed it out. When completed he showed me the work and all looked good to me. Unfortunately I have not had a need for it to come on (or fortunately being it's only Spring) but I have no doubt it will work great. Richie has done work for me in the past and the workmanship was exceptional and he takes extreme pride in what he does. He's extremely professional, pleasant and has always checked with me before making certain decisions and again before finishing up. I've never had the opportunity to work with any of the other crew, but for me I'm always glad to see Richie show up at my door when needing work done.

The workman who came out was very easy to work with and personable. Their price was reasonable. I didn't have any problem with them. I have asked them to come back out and adjust the light, because the way it was up there it wasn't catching people as they came in. They told me they would come back when they were in the area, but they never did come back. They will work with you, they are very personable, and you feel very comfortable with them. The only think I didn't like was that they didn't come back and adjust the light. I would give them a B+ overall. Their price was within the ballpark. They were on time. I would use them again.

The lady I made the appointment with was very friendly and understanding. I made the appointment for the following Thursday, and called a couple days later to change it to Friday with no hassle. Keon called to ask if he could arrive early, and he did. He was able to sort out which wires go to where (This sounds easy, but I assure you it wasn't) in very little time. He rewired switches to control motion lights separate from the garage power and wired the garage power so that it was constant (all as I asked). He was very courteous and answered every question I asked about the process. The only reason I am giving a "B" for price is because I do wish that they charged less for work that takes less than 30 mins. Yes, they told me beforehand that the starting rate is $125 for the first hour, no matter how short the work actually took. So it's not like it was a surprise to me. Having said all that - Would I have called them even knowing the hour fee and how quick the process would be? Yes, I would do it again. It was a very positive experience.

Great. I called and left a message. My call was returned in an hour, and they were able to come out the same day. The electrician was very professional. He took time to explain what he was doing, what the problems were, and answer all my questions. The job was completed within an hour. We highly recommend these electricians. We have used them in the past and always get great service and quality.

Great! Rich and Eric actually arrived a few minutes early and finished in less time than expected, even after my old house threw them a couple curveballs. Great experience.

I called a couple of days ago about a circuit that was not working in our 90 year old home. After searching with no luck for the source of the problem, Rich discovered the original circuit panel in the kitchen. It was here that he discovered a fuse was blown and had to be replaced with a new one. His persistence of figuring out the problem helped us avoid having to tear up our walls to run new wiring. I will definitely use this company in the future if I have any issues with my electric again.

I contacted Blue Jay because they were the highest rated on Angie's List for local electricians. Jay promptly came out and did estimates for replacing the main panels and subpanels in my commercial building. They installed some lighting and the wiring for a stove in one apartment. Eric is the electrician on Jay's crew whom I prefer: he's an expert and no nonsense. I have more work for them to do later this year.

I contacted Blue Jay electric for a repair that came up on an inspection report when selling my home. I called near the Thanksgiving Holiday and Blue Jay was able to help me with this request prior to the holiday. The electrician that showed up was very professional, showed up on time, and provided me with the paperwork required for me to get to closing on the sale of my home. I am very grateful for Blue Jay's service during a very busy time.

I reached out to Blue Jay Electric via their website after reading the positive reviews on Angie's List. Jay (the owner) contacted me the same day and arranged to come out to review the project - Jay came out himself and we had a good conversation. The proposal was delivered a few days later as promised. I coordinated a start date with Jay for Jan. 7, and this would be a two day project. Eric and Zac arrived on Jan. 7 on schedule, and Eric finished the job on day two. The work was great - we left Eric and Zac at our condo as we needed to get to work ourselves, and Eric called as he had questions. They left the jobsite super clean and all work was done to a high satisfaction level. These guys are simply great - great people, polite, nice guys who also do a great job for their customer. We will use them again if the need arises - I don't often write reviews, but am compelled to given my positive experience. I HIGHLY recommend them.

The Service Provider Keon from Blue Jay Electric Co. was very professional, experienced and helpful. He arrived on time answered all questions that I had and performed the work within the time frame. I would definitely recommend this company for any electrical work that needs to be done.

They light turns on and it works fine.

He was able to chase down where the short was within the electrical lines and even found a second short during his diagnosis. He was very helpful and did a great job in fixing the issue. The price was good as well.
