Rich was pleasant, courteous and thorough. It was nice to deal with someone who not only knew what he was doing but did so with such a upbeat and friendly attitude. We were very pleased and impressed with his manner and professionalism.

The installer showed up on time, was very professional and courteous and the cost was exactly what was quoted to me over the phone. This is the thid time I have used them and I have been nothing but happy with every job they've done for me.

After a different electrician came by to give me an estimate and never bothered to send it, I found Blue Jay Electric on Angie's list, and they were fantastic! The owner, Jay, did the estimate and Eric did the work. Both were nice, professional, and people I felt safe having in my house. The work cost just what I expected it to, and was done quickly (we did have a bit of a rain delay on the outdoor work that was unavoidable. We've found our electrician!

Rich and Zack were swift, neat, professional, and knowledgable. They had all three jobs done in little more than an hour, even though they needed to make a trip for a couple of parts. They showed me what the replacement parts looked like before installing them to be sure that I was satisfied with the appearance. They tested each repair/installation before declaring it complete and left each worksite as clean as they found it. The "C" grade for punctuality stems from a scheduling snafu in the office. I thought someone was coming at 7:30; I called and left a message around 8:00 when no one had arrived. Jay returned my call shortly after that and said that I was not on the schedule for that day. To his credit, he fixed the mistake. He had Rich and Zack out to my home by about 11:30. Not everyone would have responded so quickly and that is why the overall rating is an "A".

Rich from Blue Jay Electric just left and we couldn?t be happier with his work. We had six recessed lights installed as well as the ?clean up? of some poor wiring of whomever previously worked on the house. He was prompt and very courteous. He took the time to explain everything that he was doing and ensure that we felt comfortable with his work. The end product gave us the clean look we were hoping for, and the quality of the work was excellent. We greatly appreciate the work and would highly recommend Rich and Blue Jay Electric.

Flood lights were moved quickly and efficiently. The ceiling fan was installed, but was placed too close to cabinets, thus causing friction. I did not warn them to be careful, nor did I double check before they left. I noticed the problem and the owner called me and rescheduled another date. They arrived on time (as they did the first time). Rich (second technician) corrected the situation and did not bill me any more money even though he made a trip to the Home Depot and purchased an additional part. Overall, I give this company an A rating for customer service and fair pricing.

This was my second experience with Blue Jay Electric. Initially, I used the firm to install baseboard heaters in my kitchen. This job was done in a very professional manner and on schedule. Because of this intial experience I called them when I needed outlets installed in the basement to operate a sump-pump that was being installed. They scheduled me within two weeks of making the call and were prompt in doing the required work. On the day of the sump-pump install the workers blew a fuse and were unable to trace the source of the problem. I called Blue Jay and they scheduled a visit within 24 hours. In looking at the problem with the fuse, it was determined that the intial installation could have been done better and the outlets were re-wired. Much to my surprise and appreciation, I was not charged for the repair work. This kind of honesty and professionalism is very rare and the folks at Blue Jay are to be applauded. I recommend them highly and I will definitely be using them again.

Jay was very professional, punctual and courteous. We could not use his services as we needed other stuff done on the house and decided to go with a general contractor who had his own electrician. We will plan to use them in the future as we were quite happy with our first contact

The only somewhat negative thing I could say is that it took about a week to get an appointment. Outside of that, it was a great experience. The lady who booked my appointment was pleasant and professional. Keon came out and did the work. He was polite, capable, and worked efficiently. I tried to make things as easy as possible, unpacking the fixtures, and he was able to install all four fixtures within an hour, making the $125 charge (for first hour) a great deal. I enthusiastically would recommend Blue Jay Electric, particularly if Keon was doing the work!

I received same day service which went very well. The electrician team identified the problem right away and fixed it within minutes! They were extremely professional and knowledgeable. I definitely will call on them for any future needs! I highly recommend them!

Jay responded within a day of my original email request, made an appointment to give a free estimate for the following week and arrived promptly for that appointment. We spent about a half hour looking at all the areas where the electrical work was to be done. Asked pertinent questions on attic access and checked out the the electrical and cable boxes in the basement personally. Tracey sent me the estimate within a couple of days and was very responsive with revised estimates when we realized there was a mistake on the 1st estimate and then we made a change after we received the revised estimate. Throughout this process Jay and Tracey were prompt and professional. Eric the electrician, arrived promptly on the day of the installation and got right to work. Eric worked diligently throughout the day and asked for input to make sure he was doing the job as we wanted. The job was too much for one person to complete in one day and there was a problem with the three outside lights which did not come with the correct box needed in order to mount them where we wanted them to be. Since Eric had to come back the next morning, this allowed Eric the chance to pick up the correct part for this part of the installation. All in all, the whole process with Blue Jay Electric went very well and I would not hesitate to call on Blue Jay again.

We talked with 3 different companies and liked Blue Jay the best. The owner Jay came on time was very nice and listen tentatively to our requests and was very kind to tell us we would not need certain repairs we planned to do since we were not sure if some of wiring was up to code but it turn out it was OK-basically Jay did not try to add needles repairs. That kind of honesty is rare these days! We also choose Blue Jay because they are a local, small, family owned company. Tracy is the Office Manager and she is very pleasant and nice. She handles sending proposals, and setting up the appointments. She was very nice to deal with as we were figuring out best time to do it. Keon and Eric were the 2 senior electricians working on our house and they are among the most polite, and professional contractors we have ever met with great work ethic and are very personable and have a keen sense of customer service. Originally the job was supposed to take 2 days but some of the work took longer due to some workaround that needed to be done for the wall sconces,the receptacle in the bedroom so it took 2 and a half days. Every morning they arrived on time, and spared no efforts to complete the projects the best way possible. They were also very neat and made sure not to leave any traces of trash or dry wall debris and dust If you were to come to our house today you would not be able to tell that so much work was done, as after so much work only evidence to it are 3 places that require minor patching. They well exceeded all of our expectations, and worked very diligently to make everything to our liking, so we would definitely recommend Blue Jay team to all of our friends and anyone needing electrical work done, and we will certainly call Blue Jay team for any of our future electrical; needs.

Excellent. They showed up on time, and were very professional. Attic fan has a thermostat, but they also installed an on/off electric switch in the home for manual turn off. The installation was seamless! the technician cleaned up everything (fallen insulation, drywall dust, etc.) completely after the work. I was amazed how quickly the installation went. The technician definitely knows his stuff, not an armature by any means. I will be using Blue Jay for future electrical work.

The men who came to work were professional and on time. They cleaned up after themselves and when they were ready to leave everything worked. I would ask them again. It was a very positive experience.

They were very responsive, got out quick, and did a good job on the site. $145.00 seemed a little bit high to me for replacing a breaker, but I know that they also had to inspect the electrical set up before replacing it. I am not sure what market price is for this type of service.

Eric was on-time, and immediately sized up the problem with our roof deck lighting system: a faulty GFCI on the power outlet, probably caused by water infiltration. He replaced the outlet and installed a waterproof cover over the unit. We also asked him to check on a malfunctioning smoke detector in the living room; turned out that the unit had broken, and he replaced it. Total charge was the hourly rate, with no extra charges for the equipment provided.

Overall excellent. Owner Jay responded immediately--very accommodating and helpful. Technicians Rich and Zack were an outstanding team--efficient, effective, considerate, and thoughtful--very resourceful in finding alternative solutions.

My phone call was returned promptly and I received professional electrical services within hours of calling the company. I am a satisfied customer and would use this firm again.

As usual, Rich came out to help us out. He checked some electrical wires to make sure power could go back on in our house after a small electrical fire. We also gave me a quote to replace all ceiling fans, and add an outdoor electric outlet and was willing to provide billing info for my homeowner insurance and warranty.. Once the contractor is done with the repairs, we'll have him out again to perform the rest of the job. Rich is incredibly responsive and provides advice and tips on keeping the house electrically secure. See you soon!

Called Blue Jay electric because the electrician I had been using was too busy. The Electrian who came was right on time and very knowledgable about the work to be done. He was done alot faster than I had thought it would take.I was very impressed with his skills and professional workmanship.

The electrician they sent (Rich) was awesome. He was extremely quick and efficient and really knew what he was doing, in the kind of way that left me in awe of how good he is at his trade. I also had a few questions about how things were wired before, and he answered them with ease. Note: With respect to my B rating for promptness, there was a scheduling mix-up that the office staff quickly remedied. Scheduling issues happen, but this company handled it very well.
