Very pleased with the experience. Jay came over at our convenience to talk about what we wanted. Another AL provider said they didn't need to visit and could just give an estimate without looking at anything which we weren't comfortable with. The crew was professional and pleasant and work was done quickly. Four lights were in a 19' high ceiling and Eric was nice enough to remove some ribbon that got wound in the ceiling fan when a child let some balloons go into it. The other AL company I called did not think they could put a remote sensor in to be able to control lighting in the family room and Jay could; Blue Jay's cost was a little less than the phone quote from the other company even with the remote.

The job seemed to go well. Eric showed up in the time frame I was told and immediately got to work. Very happy with the job and with the quick response to my email and phone calls.

They were good. I thought they were pleasant, they were knowledgeable, and their price was reasonable.

2 out of 3 times they have come out on time in inclement weather but all 3 times theyve been nothing but professional and courteous. Good work at good prices.

Rich and Zach arrived right on time in the morning. Both worked very quickly and efficiently, taking much less time to complete the work than I had expected. They consistently followed up with me to make sure they were installing the fans the way I wanted. Any mess was perfectly cleaned up afterwards, and both ceiling fans look and work fantastic. Rich was extremely professional and helpful in answering any questions that I had. I would absolutely call them back to have any electrical work done in the future.

Keon and Zack were pleasant and efficient and cleaned up when they were done.

Electrician arrived on time; looked at job; gave me an estimate which I thought was fair. He performed the work in aoub 90 minutes, cleaned up after himself, and explained how the new receptacles worked. Blue Jay was highly recommended by several of my neighbors, and I must agree that they are a first rate electrical contractor. I recommend them highly.

We loved them. We thought they were going to have to replace a couple of outside electrical outlets, but as it turned out, they were just tripped. They arrived on time. They checked everything for us. They could have told me the outlets were bad and just replaced them and they didn't. They made sure that they were working and we just had tripped them some place funny. We were very happy with them. They were in and out of here in about 15 minutes.

The two electricians were in the area so they arrived within an hour of my first call. These young men were polite, courteous and informative. The only problem was they did track in a bit but it was raining very hard. They diagnosed the problem quickly and efficiently and determined that it was significantly less serious than I had thought. The main problem was fixed within 20 minutes. They then hung a new light fixture and even had the forethought to hold the empty box under the hole in the wall to catch the dry wall dust as it fell so as not to leave a mess. They gathered up all the trash in that box and left the room clean. For the time they worked the charge was most fair. Good Job. I will use them in the future.

Repaired several older outlets and fixed a light socket in bathroom

The crews showed up each morning promptly at 7:30. They also were extremely easy to work. It was a pleasure working with Blue Jay Electric... I will definitely use them on my next investment property.

After our initial contact and estimate from Jay, our primary contact was with Rich and his co-worker Zach. Rich and Zach were thorough, fast and excellent throughout. We were especially grateful to Rich, who communicated with us throughout the job and constantly sought effective solutions to the unanticipated problems inherent in old houses ? ones that we, and he, could not have predicted at the outset of the job. The work was completed on schedule and under budget. I would highly recommend both Blue Jay as a company and Rich and Zach individually. As first time homeowners, we were lucky to find them out of the gate.

Rich was friendly, professional, knowledgeable, fast and cleaned up after himself. He was terrific. If I need any other electrical work done I will definitely use Blue Jay and ask for Rich.

Jay came by to go over the laundry list of work I wanted done on 11/5. We just bought an old house and there were not enough outlets (and no cable connections) in the bedrooms on the second floor. There was also out of code wiring in the basement and crawl space that the previous owner had done and was called out during the home inspection. 2 of the fuses in the panel were over-fused and 2 outlets in the house had reversed polarity. I gave Jay the opportunity to call out anything else that was of a concern. He pointed out how Comcast had run the cable from the pole, flopped it across the roof of the house (it was actually hanging down over the gutters along the back) and connected it to the junction box on the opposite side of the house. He suggested moving the junction to the side of the house closest to the pole and running a much shorter cable. I agreed. Eric showed up promptly on the 25th to do the work and started in the basement before the water mitigation people showed up with a jackhammer to disrupt things there. From there, he moved to the attic & second floor to run the wiring. He was conscientious about doing any damage to the house and when it was evident he'd have to put an extra hole in the wall to fish a wire through, he consulted with me about it first and we decided to relocate the new outlet so that dry wall repair wouldn't be necessary. We had another tricky situation feeding wire around the chimney that he brought to my attention and we discussed before he went boring any holes in the drywall. In the end, only 1 extra hole was made and we got all the electrical and cable receptacles that we wanted. In the afternoon, 2 other electricians showed up to help him out, but he had to return 2 days later to finish the job as there were still 2 more to install. Eric was polite, always attentive to what my concerns were and had ideas on how to solve problems that would minimize damage to the house or unsightly wires running around. He worked as if it were his own house. After he was done, each room looked as if he had never been there (except for the shiny new receptacles). I usually leave some kind of criticism just to give the reader the chance for some perspective, but I'm having trouble coming up with ANYTHING negative to say. That's how good these guys are. They will be my regular electricians from here on out.

Based on our previous experience with Blue Jay Electric, we called them to replace a non-working exhaust fan in our powder room. We scheduled the job for Tuesday, November 19, and Rich arrived promptly that morning. After inspecting the fan, he told us he believed that only the motor may need to be replaced rather than the entire fan. We also asked that he replace the outside vent cover. He left to purchase the specific parts needed, and returned shortly with the materials in hand to complete the work. The motor and vent cover were replaced and the fan tested and operational. The area was cleaned up nicely before he left. Rich was professional and his friendly demeanor made him a pleasure to work with. He could have replaced the entire fan at a higher cost to us, but the fact that he informed us that he would try to replace just the motor speaks to his integrity and that of Blue Jay. Moving forward, we will continue to contact Blue Jay for all of our electrical needs.

I found Blue Jay on Angie?s List and impressed by their reviews, decided to give them a try. They did not disappoint; I am very pleased with the electrical repair service work. Rich arrived on time, quickly diagnosed and fixed the problem. I will be sure to call Blue Jay next time. Thank you, Rich!

Rich and Zack came in on schedule and quickly determined what was needed to complete the job. Did the work quickly and did not try to up sell which was very much appreciated.

We decided to go with Blue Jay Electric, after receiving a very fair estimate from them for the work. I tried to have them come out on a Saturday so that I did not have to take off from work. Unfortunately, they do not do many jobs on Saturday. I definitely got the impression that they were a trustable company based on my meeting with the owner so I scheduled a day and left the key for them. Unfortunately, I never met the person who did the work, but the job was meticulous. They did not even leave a speck of dust behind. In addition, there were absolutely no holes. I am still scratching my head trying to figure out how he was able to run the wires without leaving any holes. I would recommend the company highly for any electric work. I believe I got a high quality job at a more than fair price.

Excellent work and vary professionally done. We had some mutual scheduling difficulties, but once they were able to get started the work was done quickly and professionally.

Rich did a fine job and was very speedy. We were also pleased that our small job could be done the same day I called.

Keon arrived at a great time and got to work. There was some miscommunication where he thought he was installing regular light fixtures and not ceiling fan boxes. Luckily we had the ceiling fan braces so it was not an issue. Very friendly and priced fairly. Definitely using them again.

Job went perfectly. Excellent work from beginning to end. It was a pleasure meeting Jay and Keon. This was the ideal experience one hopes for when working with a contractor - pay a fair price and receive quality work done right the first time. One of the best experiences I've had getting work done at the house.
