Description of Work: I used Abbott's Plumbing to replace a tankless water heater that gave out after 16 years. I found them on Angie's list and contacted them via their website. Within 10 minutes after submitting the Form online, I received a call from them. I asked them to visit the house to look at the existing system and give me a quote on a new one. We set up an appointment within 2 days and their manager came out to the house. He reviewed everything, walked the property, and assessed the job. He then spoke of the brand of tankless heaters they carry, and we decided on the Nortiz tankless heater. He took the information back to their offices and I had a quote within 2 days. I needed to have my gas meter upgraded to handle the new BTU requirements, and they took care of everything with BGE. The job took 1.5 days to complete, and they were very professional (the 2 installers who performed the job). They disassembled the old heater, installed the new one (and ventilation), tested the system, and cleaned up after the job. At the same time, the manager in the office kept in touch with me to ascertain how the job was going. Then, he coordinated with BGE to come out and upgrade the gas meter. When BGE was finished, the installers came back to hook up the meter to the house. Again, they were very professional the whole time. I would not hesitate to use them again for any job that is beyond my expertise. They are very responsive, courteous, and professional.

Description of Work: I had to have a leaking water main pipe replaced from the street to my house. Three gentlemen from Abbott's showed up on time to do the work. They looked at the situation and came up with a plan that we all agreed upon. They went right to work, handled everything in a professional manner, and completed the work in one day. Very happy with their service.

Description of Work: Supplied and installed Liberty SJ-10 Water-Powered back-up sump system. Provided 3/4 inch cold water supply, ISO valve and dual check and discharge check valve and tied into existing discharge. Provided new and installed sump pump. Jeff did an outstanding job and came out on his day off for an emergency fix of both check valves during raging downpour and prevented potential flooding of basement.

Description of Work: Had Abbott replace 20 year old gas water heater. Chose them because chose Rheem water heater over other water heaters based on internet reviews and they were recommended as an installer for this area by Rheem. Their prices were comparable to other plumbers for installation of a similar water heater, but not better. They performed the work competently and within a few days of agreeing to their contract. I would have preferred a more efficient direct vent water heater, but the difference in costs between our atmospheric vented heater and a direct vent water heater was too much. | | |

 + -1 moreThey did a nice job, but I felt the price they charged was high and since I was in a hurry we did not take the time to get other estimates. It took 2 men (and only one did the work while the other guy after helping lift the sink in place did almost nothing) 2 1/2 hours to complete the job. Considering the disposal was about $50 and some money for some new pipes, say the supplies cost a total of $150(generous). I think that was a lot of money to pay for the labor. They did do a very nice job though, and we will try them again, they do guarantee all their work for one year.
Description of Work: Installed a sink and faucet we had purchased at another store, and installed a $50 disposal they supplied.

 + -1 moreAlthough I had an entire kitchen renovated by this plumber, this time out I had my toilet replaced. I can t remember the price off hand, but I can say they were very reasonable and I will use them again if and when I have to.
Description of Work: This time out they replaced a toilet bowl in my bathroom which was in bad need of replacement. They spent about an hour or so doing this and then took the old unit away with them when they left.

Description of Work: Dug to put in a new pipe to the sump pump and gutter spouting was included in the work as well. The new pipe went about 60 feet from the side of the house outward.

 + -1 moreI have always been very pleased with their service since 1994. They are licensed, bonded, and courteous. They are friendly and prompt, and clean up the messes afterwards. I have been very pleased with the previous work that they did for me in over 12 years.

 + -1 moreAbbott's staff was mostly courteous, but somewhat careless. They installed our toilet shut off valve so close to it that you couldnt turn it. They came back 2 more times before it was fixed properly. They put PVC pipe under our pedestal sink, creating an eyesore, and left the bathtub faucet loose.
Description of Work: Abbott was a subcontractor on our bathroom remodeling project. They replaced all our pipes and installed all new fixtures in our bathroom.
