Brad contacted me within an hour of my signing up for his service. He stated he would stop by later in the day to look at what we wanted done. At first we wanted a pine tree removed, but we were told the tree was very healthy and had a deep root system. I was immediately impressed because he was not trying to sell something that was not necessary. He ended up grinding two rather large tree stumps and trimmed 6 crepe myrtles. He and his crew did the job in a very timely manner, and left the premises immaculate. I highly recommend this company. Brad is extremely professional and knowledgeable in his field and we would definitely contact him in the future.

They responded to me immediately after purchasing the big deal. They had to drop a large tree at my home. I wasn't sure if it needed trimmed or completely taken down. We decided to go ahead and take the tree completely down. They came in and did the work and cleaned up well afterwards. They even did a couple other things for us. They were professional and quick. The tree was hanging over our home and it was dying, so that is why they suggested taking it down.

SERVICE ABOVE AND BEYOND! NO DAMAGE TO PROPERTY OR LAND. Removed/ground up all tree limbs and rotten tree trunks.RAKED UP small debris and disposed of it. BLOWED small debris from driveway - our driveway hadn't looked that good in a long time. THEY also could have removed remaining tree trunk (grind down) we chose not to do that.

I got the deal. I emailed him. He said he was swamped because of recent bad weather. It took him 2 months to get out here. It wasn't a rush job, but that was way too long. When the service was performed, it was done very well though. I didn't think the price was a big deal, but it was reasonable.

Removal went very smoothly and was fascinating to watch. The only glitch we had was trying to get company schedule and our schedule to match. We would not hesitate to use this company again.

This is an AWESOME company!! Mr. Dowell came to do an estimate the first day we spoke. We agreed on a price, and he arrived the day and time he said he would. He and his team were the epitome of professionalism. He explained everything in detail, and everything went the exact way he said it would. As the tree came down, it clipped some branches of another tree, which, by the way, had already been listing to one side. After assessing the situation, he asked if I would like that tree removed as well -- which I definitely did! He took that tree down at no extra cost. It is quite clear that Mr. Dowell is a business owner who clearly loves his business, and strives to make his customers happy. I had other companies on this list come out to do estimates - 6 in total. Some wanted FIVE TIMES the price I paid Mr. Dowell -- for the same exact same service! Tri County Lawn & Tree Service: excellent price, complete professionalism, and excellent results! I would not hesitate to call this company again for any tree or yard service. Thank you Mr. Dowell -- I will sleep so much better now!!! :)

Not sure how to address this one. I cannot give them an "F" as the other reviews have, the company took down the tree as contracted out relatively quickly. They were very careful with the surrounding areas to ensure the yard and close surrounding fences came through undamaged. Clean up was very well done, had it not been for the missing tree and a few scraps of sawdust I would have not have known they had been there - this was completed about mid July 2013. Part of the contract was to grind out and remove the stump. It took over a month before this happened. Brad, advised that they had to wait until there was no rain in the forecast so that they would not harm the surrounding yard/s. Communication with the company was spotty at best and I found the only sure fire way of getting a response was via email. First contact for the project was started in June 25, 2013 and project completion was September 12, 2013. I'll let you decide for yourselves whether or not that was to long of a period for a tree removal. It should be noted that I was out of town for a chunk of August so I did not continue my follow up efforts till the latter part of the month.

No work has been done so I can't, but wish I could, comment on how it went (!)

Tri-County Lawn and Tree Service is outstanding in every way. They did an excellent job, were prompt and gave very honest evaluations of trees on my property. I have dealt with several tree services and none can compare to Tri-County. They will be my first choice from now on. Thank you, Angie for introducing me to them!

A crain truck was used. They were allowed to use my neighbor's driveway. A tarp was laid down under the truck to catch any possible oil leaks & pads were put out so no impressions were made on the ground by the truck's 4 stabilizers. The stub was secured with a strap attached to the crain. The stump was then cut lose, it was laid down on the ground, cut again in the middle making 2 halves. the halves were then picked up and placed in another truck & taken away to a mill, I suppose. It took a while for them to get to me, but the wait was well worth it. (Summer storms had dropped many trees in his service area.) The stump was precariously leaning towards my neighbor's garage & had a very large diameter. It was a big tree with various items placed or growing around it's base. The job was done quickly, safely, & with little collateral damage to my shrubbery. This was done in conjunction with Angie's List "big deal" The total price dose not include the deal price. Other work was done also with good results. My neighbor told me The crew was very polite, and professional doing the time on the job. I was not home when the work was done. Great job. (Tried to attach a picture unsuccessfully.) the date is approximate.

Very professional. They picked all the tree leaves. The final product was beyond my expectations.

.I purchased the tree service in June and immediately called "Brad" to schedule the work at my home in Prince Georges County. Brad said he was backed up with emergency work and would contact me to schedule the service. Several weeks passed and I was not contacted. I placed a second call and was told the company was still working through a backlog of jobs in another county but would get to me as soon as possible. Finally, after 12 weeks and two emails to the company, I made my last call to Brad. He said he had lost my emails and requested that I send another email so he could schedule my work. A week later I still had not received a call to schedule my work. I sent a final email to the company and said 12 weeks was not a reasonable delay and requested a refund of my money paid in June. Brad did then email me back with the following information: - Tri-County Tree service does not handle refunds. It would have to come from Angie's List - Angie's List had mistakenly advertised the tree service offer in my county even though Tri-County had requested that Angie's List remove the misinformation from Angie's web site. - Brad offered to provide the tree service at my home the following week. I declined his offer and would like to have my $150 refunded.

Could not have gone better. There had been some crazy weather locally, so the provider was backlogged, but kept in touch and made sure I knew the job would be done and the Angie's List deal honored. The date was eventually set, the crew showed up a little bit early (they had an almost 2-hour drive to get here), were very professional, pleasant, congenial, and professional. When they realized the job was (to them) a very small one they offered to clean up a few other small items to make the long drive worthwhile. I got far more than I bargained for, as well as entertaining conversation and a definite go-to service for my heavily treed lot come next time something needs work. Outstanding in every way!

It took a while for us to schedule time for Tri-County to come by. We communicated a lot by phone/email. In mid August, Mr. Dowell came by my property to look at the trees and sent me a proposal for pruning the branches away from the house. I accepted his proposal online; I sent a signed hard copy and the balance of my fee. A week later, the work was done. I was not at home when Mr. Dowell came to do his work. He left my property in fairly good condition and the trees were pruned.

Once they got around it turned out okay.

I called him after buying the Deal and found out that he was around 2 hours away from me. He still asked me to send a description of the job to him and he would find someone else close by to do the work. I know that he's extremely busy so I really appreciated that. I ended up calling Angie's List and found someone else. He was courteous, and polite over the phone with me.

I had a quick response from their estimator. He was very helpful. The guys who cut the tree we very quick and helpful. The crew that came to clean up worked very hard and did a great job cleaning up all of the depris. The yard looks good. I will recommend them to anyone.

This was a difficult project as the tree was huge (over 60 ft tall) and located between several small properties. Tri-county removed the tree without damaging any of our homes or properties.

Everything was great! Tri-County was very professional and did a wonderful job for a fair price. In fact, we are going to use them again for some additional work.

Apparently they were very professional, they cleaned up all the dead leaves, branches, and everything. I recommend them.

Within one day of being notified that we wanted the job done, Brad Dowell and his crew were on-site. They brought a bucket truck, a crane, and a shredder with truck. When setting up, they put tarps on the ground under the vehicles in case there were any oil leaks. Brad and his team acted as a well-oiled machine. He directed the setup, positioning each piece of equipment exactly where he wanted them. Brad is an artist with a chainsaw. Though both my shed and my neighbor's were directly under large limbs of the tree, not one branch struck or damaged anything. Brad, in the bucket, attached slings from the crane cable to support limbs as he made the cuts, and methodically took the tree down a large piece at a time. As he removed limbs, the small branches and brush were removed by his crew and ground, the large logs set aside for removal. When he got most of the upper limbs off, Brad noticed that the tree was split about 18' off the ground, front to back, which would have guaranteed damage to my property if it had not been removed before a storm. They finally cut the trunk down to the ground. They raked the area of any debris, loaded the logs, ground the last of the branches, and used a leaf blower to clear the shed roof of leaves and twigs. I can only describe their work as surgical. Brad and his team were professional and polite. There was no wasted motion. Since I wanted to have one of the sheds moved before the stump was ground, which was included in the price, Brad waited a few days until he sent someone to grind the stump without the shed in the way. That was done as thoroughly as the rest of the job. I recommend that anyone considering tree removal in the area use Tri-County Lawn and Tree Service. The quality of their work is amazing, and their prices very reasonable.
